My two favorite TH-cam families! We watched from Nowhere, Idaho then drove over to the Tetons.
The eclipse was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. So surreal having night time in the middle of the day. And having it happen literally in my back yard was extra special.
I sat and watched this with a view of the Tetons on Wednesday before heading up to meet with Nathan and Marissa this evening...sorry I missed you guys but it was fun to watch both videos back to back.
I just told Nathan your going to take a month to put this out. So happy to see both of my favorite families at once. I apologise for doubting you. Thanks guys.
Lol. More like 2 months by the time the channel gets to the Tetons! I think it's better to run behind than take breaks between seasons. We need a month or two from time to time to regroup and put the camera down.

Love the Tetons. We live near Carbondale, IL. And the next Total here will be in 7 years. Was able to shoot my photos of the eclipse from our backyard. My wife watched from the comfort of our swimming pool! Traffic was terrible for people leaving after the eclipse. Looking forward to your Lake Tahoe video. One of my favorite places to visit. Really enjoy your videos and especially your photography.

Our two favorite Channels in one place! How great is this? Great footage of the eclipse and we loved seeing your families interacting. We didn't have totality of here north of Spokane, but it was like sunset all around. An amazing experience for sure.

I grew up in Rock Springs, just a couple hours south of Jackson and Yellowstone. I took it for granted having the parks so close, and now I really wish I'd spent more time there. I missed out on a really cool experience not being there for the eclipse.

Funny you mentioned the solar power decreasing :). I recorded some solar power observations from where we were in Glenrock WY. We only had a 10 degree temperature drop, which was noticeable, but not as dramatic as your 20 degrees.
470 Watts of panels mounted flat. 210 AH of battery. Batteries were around 84% at 10:45. and around 88% at 12:45.

I am so glad you could show this in real time! Although I still found it really cool at 90%, we were not in the path of totality for this one, but we WILL BE in our RV long before the 2024 eclipse and will make our way to the path of totality for that one :)
Talk about a great meet up with fellow RVer's (AKA Vloggers) in the Grand Tetons to witness the eclipse. We follow Marissa and Nate, and need to follow the other couple.

I am 8 months out from starting to live my dream (solo- well, me and the dog). Florida to Alaska will be my first adventure. Bought the truck, the RV, selling my old stuff and stocking with the new necessary stuff. Your videos have been so great for me to learn about solar power, generators, batteries, tires, etc. And, most important, those plastic wine glasses!
I had a particularly ruff workday today and I was feeling a little insecure about my decision to go RVing full time. Your videos have been so inspirational to me, I decided to click on this one. I want you to know that seeing you, your family, and friends acting like goof balls and having so much fun really made my day, made me smile, and turned my thinking back to excitement about getting out there. THANKS!

Science for the day. A way to explain voltage versus amps is that Voltage is the potential for current to flow while amps (ampere) is the unit of measurement of current over time (1 ampere = 1 coulomb per second). The best way to explain current and voltage is with water and pipes. Voltage is like a pipe, current is like water, and resistance is like the valve. If you increase resistance (closing the valve), less current will flow. Even if the pipe (voltage) is really, really large, you can have only a trickle of current. Great video guys.

Love the surprise that The Moss's were with you in the vlog. Thanks for posting the Eclipse in Totality. Here on the west coast of Florida it didn't happen here due to it was very cloudy. It didn't even get dark here at all.
If you read this before you to Victoria , BC on Vancouver Island you will love it there. If you like a lot of different types of outdoor gardens go to Butchart Gardens & plan on staying until after it gets dark & see the gardens all lit up at night & also watch the fountain there illuminated in a lot of different colors. I promise it's worth spending the whole day there. If you've never been to Lake Tahoe you will love it there as it is quite beautiful there.

It's late in commenting but I loved that you and LJMJ spent this together!! We're realizing now how time is flying and we're literally pushing the planning because we will be need to be out by the end of next year. You have made this a reality of believing we can do this and I want to be in the next eclipse!!

Awesome video guys!!! HAPPY ECLIPSE DAY!!! :D How great that you guys got to see totality! :) We got 93% totality where we live which was still totally incredible. It got dim like twilight which was neat to see. Also, the smoke here is very thick from all the wildfires but it didn't have any effect on our ability to see and enjoy the eclipse, something I wondered about.
One of the things I loved about this video is that I felt like we shared the eclipse together. I was sitting on my back deck while you guys were in the Tetons (incidentally one of my favorite national parks!) and it's fun to see what you were doing while I was out there! :)
I'm glad you guys got to hook up with Less Junk More Journey, what a nice day you all had! I loved your video journal of this special day. In my case, a childhood best friend drove from the Bay Area with her daughter up to northern Oregon to view the eclipse and while you guys were packing up the video diary, she and her daughter arrived...it was a very nice day indeed. My husband brought home Thai food and a yummy dinner was had by all.
