Ive lost 100lbs on this medication and everything your saying I can agree. NO fast food, greasy food my stomach hates it. I do indulge in chocolate every now then.
I just went in for my first check up and I told my Dr about not wanting to drink. He said oh yeah some people report that. I told him he should have led with that! It’s a great selling point for sure.
I’m on Zepbound few food problems. Wegovy made me very nauseous and sick and constipated so I stopped taking it. Great success with Zepbound down 30 pounds in 90 days.
Great, better than me. I lost 22 pounds in 90 days and I was on 2.5mg Mounjaro . I was eating very healthy twice a day. NO alcohol, NO sugar, NO fried food, NO pizza, NO cow milk, NO cheese. I expected to lose more weight, bear in mind I'm not diabetic and not on any medication.
Thank you for sharing your journey and tips and tricks. I have learned so much since I discovered you last month. I’ve lost about 53 pounds since March of this year on zepbound, then ozempic, then zepbound again. On the zepbound, I have been blessed to have had no ready side effects except for fatigue. In zepbound, I actually want food that’s nutritious, but if I’m going out on a weekend or something, I can eat anything I want without any negative effects, but of course I eat less that I used to. Sometimes I wish I would have some negative side effects from some foods. Maybe I would have lost more weight by now. But overall, I’m thankful for this med that fixes my body-brain feedback loop but still allows me to enjoy food.
This video is eye opening because last week was the 1st time I ate wings while on Zepbound. I was miserable afterward. Stomach pains/gas and diarrhea. I thought it was food poisoning of some sort. Forgot it could be a side effect of taking the Zepbound because I've not had any symptoms except for being tired. Now I see the reason I may not have side effects is because I've been eating clean for the last 10 weeks. I just don't want the sugar or fast foods anymore. Thanks for the education. 😊
I enjoy your videos!! Just wanted to add this after your comment about enjoying a margarita with Mexican food. I am on zepbound and do low carb as preferred. I heard a low carb dr describe how his wife made her margarita with crystal light lemonade. Surprisingly it’s delicious! Just order an ice water with tequila and bring your packet with you to mix at the restaurant. 😋
I find veggies much more tolerable when I steam them, so I’d highly suggest this to aid in the digestion (steaming also helps you retain the nutrients rather than boiling, where most are lost when drained).
I'm on my second week of Tirzepatide and thankfully haven't had too many side effects but I did eat a little ice cream a couple of days ago and felt nauseous, sick and no energy so I definitely agree about sugar. Thanks for this video!
I haven't really found any foods that I have an issue with, I've been on trizepatide for 11 months. Now, i dont crave alcohol anymore but do still dtink on occasion. The effects of the medication have been mild and there are times I feel it doesn't work on me, but yet I've lost 70 to 75 pounds. So it's been a great journey.
I crave mexican foods. I eat tacos and black bean tostadas. I make queso from cottage cheese. Taco Soup with black beans and red kidney beans. No greasy foods or sweets. They nauseated me. Boiled peanuts are good too! Boiled eggs and tuna packs are good.
I'm 7 weeks into my weight loss journey, 1 month on mounjaro, I start 5mg in 3 days. I'm also doing Carnivore and intermittent fasting and I'm down 30lbs so far. I often eat fatty meat as part of carnivore and I can confirm it's difficult to eat much before I feel sick.
Try eating some type of fermented veggies each day. I have been on mounjaro 10 months and still at 7.5 but I got alot of digestive help from fermented veggies and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in my water with meals. I can eat anything in moderation without digestive upset.
New to this journey. Just took my 6th shot. I learned quickly what to avoid. I used to snack on pepperoni and cheese. The pepperoni must have been too fatty and made me queasy. Also can't eat red meat. Tried eating a steak and had the same reaction. So sticking to chicken and fish from now on.
So glad you posted this today because now it totally makes sense that I had steak and broccoli for dinner last night (yesterday was shot day) and I woke up very nauseous and vomited this morning😐 Sorry for the TMI 😅 when I was eating a keto diet, broccoli and cauliflower made me feel really sick then too. Also definitely can’t eat fast food anymore. Sugary foods don’t seem to give me any issues though.
I'm really new - this is just my second week on 2.5 mg, so I really appreciate these videos. I've been staying away from greasy foods out of fear that they would make me sick, and I'm not buying sweets because they're my weakness and I would soon find myself knee-deep in a vat of cookie dough if I did.
Hi!!! I am new also. I had 1st injection on 9/13. How are you doing so far? I feel a bit loopy in the head and small amount of nausea. I really need to make this work for me so trying to ignore the side effects.
I am a type 2 diabetic. Controlled glucose with diet alone for a year. Prior to that I was on Ozempic for 5 years and had nausea at least two days every week for the entire time. When my endocrinologist asked me about taking mounjaro because it has two hormones instead of only the GLP-1. I agreed and will be starting next week on 2.5. Starting A1c is 5.9, and I am on a high protein/moderate fat/very low carb diet, to control the glucose so should have few problems. As a response to your thoughts on raw salad ingredients. I saw a doctor speaking on the idea that nightshade veggies should not be eaten when taking Mounjaro/Zepbound because it will slow down weightloss.
@@dayanahmaahzhnahyasharahla7606 Nightshade is a family of plants that includes tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, peppers, and tobacco. They can cause serious inflammation, and other problems. Not everyone has an issue. Even the mild mannered potato can be slightly poisonous
I have not eaten any fried food since starting Zepbound 13 weeks ago. But, even the thought of fried food makes me nauseous. I do miss having an egg roll with my Chinese food, but now get steamed dumplings instead. I exist on a plain bagel eaten 1/4 at a time with protein shakes the first 2 days after my shot, since that’s the only thing that doesn’t cause that bloating feeling. By day 3 I can eat real meals again and stick to mostly protein, veggies, and some fruit.
Folks you gotta eat: KETO! No sugar. No processed carbs. No alcohol. You can eat small amounts of non-processed carbs (e.g. salad and vegetables). Fast food is out!
I am totally not a sweet eater, never have been. If I had to give up sweets for the rest of my life, it would be easy to do. However, I WISH I have more of an adversion to wine. When I started Mounjaro in January of this year, I didn't want any wine for about a month or two, but little by little my enjoyment came back and now I have a glass or two every evening. I look forward to it with my evening meal. I'm jealous of the folks that the GLP1 had an affect on wine. That would have saved me many calories per day. Perhaps one day, that will change. I'm currently on a 10 mg compound, with a 52 lb weight loss. But I've reached a stall at 143 for a few weeks now so I'd love to have inclination of no wine to break the stall.
thanks for your comment, not enough people are talking about this. When I first begin Zepbound a couple months ago I also did not desire wine for several wks. I wld still just have a small amount on weekends tho. I literally cld not tolerate more than a couple glasses. Prior to Zep I was drinking every single day and really wanted to cut down but did not feel strong enough to resist it on my own. now I’m two months in and still on 2.5 and my desire to have wine during the weekdays has started creeping back in🫤 It's tough when the desire is there. Best wishes on your journeys.
For me, the amount of food that I ate, got me feeling badly more than the type of food that I ate. Although I have drastically overall my diet, during this journey, I have not eliminated any food Group. so I still continue to eat fried foods it’s what I crave in great moderation and even sweets in great moderation. Losing and gaining for me in the past resulted from eliminating food completely. So now I am just learning to eat better. With the help of this tool.
was debating in taking my shot before my vacation , ended taking the shot , hopefully i no get sick ,i travel alot and do stay vacation so no want to be skipping shot every time i want to travel
I’m almost 30 weeks in and down 50lbs, BMI 24.5. Never been above 5mg. Other than the first couple of days (cheerio burps; no cheerios consumed) and a fullness in my chest from gas sometimes, I’ve only had 2-4 days of “bad reactions” (other than the 2 shots of of Wegovy I had, that was miserable and my doc had me take 2 weeks off to recover and then start back at 2.5mg for a month before going back to 5mg). One of “bad reaction” days I was on a cruise and had a couple of drinks, with rough seas and felt pretty nauseated. I can have some greasy food and some sugary food, as long as it’s pretty moderate (probably 1/3 of a burger or donut, I don’t do it often). I do take simethicone/gas-x daily, but I sometimes had issues before Zep. I do think being able to stay on a lower dose helps. I’m about 5lbs from goal, so I’ll have to figure out maintenance soon.
I have CKD and I’m limited to 70 grams of protein per day. I’m pre-diabetic and really shouldn’t eat more than 100 grams of carbs per day. Does it make a difference if you cook the vegetables vs eating them raw with nasty side effects?
I most regret when I've allowed sugary foods to slip in. I do notice sometimes I crave "carbs" on this medication but I'm thinking that maybe its because I'm eating less and my body and or mind wants a quick hit of sugar. I'm focusing on protein and making sure I get enough calories a day but no too many! Liquor also a no for me. Gives me a headache and makes me just feel more tired and yucky...
I’ve been craving chicken fingers which I am usually not a fan. And turkey spaghetti I was super sick. Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, bloating and stomach pain.
Yep since starting tirzepatide i can't tolerate too much sugar or fatty rich foods. I think it's because it makes me nauseous so I just avoid. Also the only alcohol I can tolerate once in a while is white sangria which I sip very slowly but for the most part I avoid alcohol. What's a little tricky is I had gastric sleeve surgery many yrs ago so I mostly do gummy supplements which have sugar, the sugar free ones upset my stomach I can't tolerate malitol or aspartame! So sometimes I'll get nauseous from my supplements 😢
I eat salad almost daily either no problems but I do avoid other raw vegetables. Fried, greasy and oily food are a total nightmare. Small amounts of sweets work fine. Moderation and YOUR body will tell you what works for you. I drink less alcohol but have no problems with it. I stick with white wine.
Last time I had pizza I had severe heartburn and haven’t eaten it since. The only time I vomited was from a crab artichoke dip with pita chips. I have had a few Happy Meals without issue
I am starting with my first shot tomorrow and I'm worried about the pizza & grease. We have amazing pizza places in CT, and my kids request to go at least once a week. Our favorite place only makes pizzas and does not have much variety on the menu.
I still drink alcohol...I find that it definitely stalls my weight loss, but I haven't seen the deterrence of alcohol yet. It would be really nice if it did! I will say... I've seen more heartburn than before I was on Mounjaro!
I also was wondering about that I know the diabetic drugs januvia and metformin make you lose weight too but they're not good people get really sick from them I don't know what he's talking about if there's a pill or not. however a very good pharmacy near my house just talking about the drops because they know big pharma wants you to do the shots I don't know how it is but once I get back home I'm going to ask and also see the doctor first
new to Mountjaro, started Fast 800 along with my injections and after 1 month my Lantus is halved and edging down with the plan to stop in the next 4-6 weeks. Weight down 14 pounds. I found very spicy Korean food that I cook really gave me terrible heartburn. I seem to be fine with broccoli and cucumber.
Ive lost 100lbs on this medication and everything your saying I can agree. NO fast food, greasy food my stomach hates it. I do indulge in chocolate every now then.

Yay! Fellow Mounjaro/Carnivore person! I'm on a lower dose of Mounjaro but will titrate up eventually but I am Carnivore all the way!
Shared your video on my community tab. Love watching you even if I dont comment all the time.
Thx for all your inspiration and helpful info❤❤

Well EVERYONE gets them from a doctor because even online telehealth companies are medical professionals. Either Doctors or PA, NP.
Oh no! I just tried to watch ur new video about avocado & ozempic it said private.😢
I have to fix something on it :)
