I mean... It's wicked that you've done this, and I wish I could too, but if I go for more than 3 days without washing my hair I end up with oil running down my face. My scalp is an actual grease-producing factory and I probably would've drowned in my sleep in a pool of my own bodily oils by now if it wasn't for harsh-arse shampoos.
Lots of parents these days have decided to never start washing their kids hair with soap because the scalp will just adjust to it and start producing more oils. Water is all you really need but since most of us already wash our hair with soap it'll take some months before the scalp gets used to not being washed with soap and stops producing as much oil. So in that period the hair might be "gross" but once your scalp is used to the new routine, you'll end up with fresh hair after just washing with water. Shampoo isn't really doing anything good for your hair.

I’ll just explain this to everyone. Yes after a day your hair gets oily. Extremely oily. Shampoo causes an extreme over oil production. It causes your hair to produce more oil because that oil is not supposed to stripped from your hair repeatedly. So when you go the first week your hair will be extremely oily because your hair is used to producing more oil to replace what’s being stripped. Then it’s like “woah.. I don’t need to produce more oil? Cool!” So it adjusts to its new reality. Her hair is beautiful and healthy. Her scalp is most likely in top notch health and she’s reducing her risk of cancer and hormone disruption! Women put over five thousand chemicals on their body every day. We don’t need shampoo. Detox for your health. I’m on week 2 with no natural shampoo. I’m definitely oily but it’s balancing out! Ride with it!

John Abercrombie you can totally do it. It takes less time for men’s hair too because it’s so short! I stopped using shampoo for 2 years while I grew out my shaved head. Never even noticed. Longer hair takes a little bit longer to adjust. I use Apple cider vinegar rinses on the rough days. It helps(:shower daily and scrub the scalp and it will be adjusted before you know it.

I only drink water anyways haha, my family is really into clean / organic eating. And I still break out aghhhhh. I think I get my breakouts from hormone imbalances maybe...I'm not sure.
maybe you shouldn't use body wash gels as well, it will give you that natural odor. don't use make up as well don't even think about shaving as well neither should you use anything that blocks the smell from your ampits IT'S ALL NATURAL BABY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GET USED TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't washed my hair in about 3 years it's long to my waist and usually wrapped in a bun I do dye the roots when needed ( my body is 67 but my mind is 27)just put dye on rinse out and I do put the conditioner on but that's it oh if I go swimming I'll rinse it and put conditioner on. It's normally very dry (age) but much better and easier to work with. No one has ever said my hair looked dirty or smelled seems better for it than using all those chemicals and cheaper ! You just do you! Don't worry about what anyone else says ,as long as you do no harm to others everything works out . Life is good! Enjoy!!!
Shar Sumer I can't wash my hair everyday so I have to wait till the weekend to wash it because I literally have to treat my hair I have to wash it like twice because my hair is so thick then do these treatments to keep my hair soft then blow dry it out then that makes it into a afro then flat iron it (1 hour later) takes a break because it did half of my head (1 hour later) does the other half so it legit takes Me like 2-3hours to do my hair

I have not used any type of products in my hair for like 6 years now. I work as an electrician in dirty, grimy, etc. just environments that would be harsh on your hair and my hair never has any noticeable stench or smell at all.
washing your hair every day strips your hair of oil making it unhealthy, especially if you use a sulfate shampoo. try only shampooing 1-2 times a week and using a gentler cowash if you want to wash it every day. your hair will be 200 times better I promise

You can co-wash. Instead of using shampoo, wash your hair with conditioner every week or whenever it best fits you. Or you can look into the 'No Poo' method. :)
that happens when you wash it on a continual basis. your scalp overproduces sebum (the oily shit) because it thinks it needs it due to the constant drying out caused by washing.
I recently had a outbreak where my hair went really really waxy a few times. Never happened before. Used conditioner after shampoo and I think that helped, I don't even know what caused it, I think the suds and really hot water from the body wash caused it cause I had taken a bubble bath and dunk my whole head into the water, who knows. I don't think it's the specific shampoo that caused it, this happened using two different shampoo's.
Platonic Purple Panda this happened to me. I had to wash it every 12 hrs or it get like 2 inches down. of grease. I just stopped using shampoo and it's still soft but not greasy. it's something to look into

Why are people so mean to her. We went over 500 years without shampoo. Hair makes oils because we need it. Why wash it out? Why do you think they sell oil for your hair? Obviously if you wait til it's really greasy then washing it with just water won't clean it but if you start before that I can see how it'd work. I've heard before that shampoo was invented as a marketing scam, some people swear that we were told we needed shampoo so we'd all buy it. This is actually how women shaving their legs and armpits became a "must". Gillette knew he could double his profit of he doubled his customers but women didn't shave, so he started putting ads in magazines saying all the popular, famous, rich women of the time had demanded a product for their "embarrassing problem" so people thought other women were already doing it so they needed to keep up. Very clever and sneaky coz it worked a charm. They even didn't call it shaving at first because that was seen as a manly thing to do, so they called it smoothing so it was more ladylike. I just watched a video about it the other day and found it fascinating. As you can tell 😂 but I reckon that's likely how shampoo came about too.

It's the best decision i ever made and watching your two video's made me want to go on even more! Im so glad this experiment has worked out for you, I honestly cant do anything like this for my self as i would just be annoyed with the greasy, dusty and oily hair. My hair feels like this 2 days of not showering it would do my head in if i didnt shower for 12 months, but good for you and thats great if its worked for you.
Let me educate all of you. The problem she had was not because shampoo and conditioner are bad for your hair, she just didn't know how to use it. If you chelate your hair (there are videos on youtube for this) and wash your hair using nice shampoo (and only a dime amount) with hot water and then use conditioner, let it soak for 5 minutes, and wash out with cold water, your hair will be amazing. I wash my hair every other day and I have curly hair and it's SUPER SOFT and smells great and has lots of shine. My hairstylists tell me it's the healthiest hair they've ever seen. Sorry for the bad grammar, but this stuff is crazy. See how stringy people's hair gets?!? No hate, just saying that you don't have to give up shampoo and conditioner.

I havnt showered in over a month , so only sea water has gotten to my hair twice( like swimming ), and I eat all vegan mostly fruit and potatoes and bananas and like watermelon and I don't need to shower, I only smell if I have shitty food! There's harmful bacteria that she could have came in contact with that can live inside her hair and water alone won't kill that.
It's not dry or greasy at all. Her hair looks natural and beautiful. I've been doing the same thing for a month and a half, my hair is becoming less dry!

I only wash my hair once a week and with sulfate free shampoo and sometimes I just cowards and it already feels healthier but this makes me realize I don't even have to do that! I can't imagine how great my hair will feel if it already feels amazing like this. Just a question: can I massage my head with oil so you think? I do that about once a week to promote hair growth but idk if I can if I don't wash it....
I would like to try this, but I just wouldn't be able to handle that period of time in which my hair would be oily and greasy from not using any products. Sometimes I do go a few days to a week without washing my hair and it just feels so gross and I get so self conscious about it. But good for you! Your hair looks really clean and healthy and I'm glad this works out for you!

In the shower I massage my scalp with warm water very good(like up to 3-5 mins) and brush it. sometimes at the end I flip my head upside down and run the water through my hair to make sure every part of my hair gets wet.
Of course it does :) If you have running water and you scrub your hair under running water everyday, how can your hair possibly be dirty? I have eczema and a couple years ago my dermatologist told me to use soap only in my private areas for like a month because of a skin flare up I had. That dosent mean that I stunk, I still showered everyday lol

Very good result, I do wash my hair every 2-3 weeks once with Roggenmehl/rye flour (full grain),but now I have the feeling that water also could do it, doI will start to test the just cold water hair wash, but actually I don't now if it's matters if it's warm or cold water, I have the feeling better cold. The first thing I noticed was that the structure of my hair changed into filler or something like spirallyand that the strands of my hair moving and lying more characteristic...But I do use some assential oils like evening prime rose/ Jasmin / strawberry oil, I have the feeling that putting oil into my hair and massage my bed with it and washing it afterwards maybe 1-2 days later or 6-12 hours later gives my hair good nutrition maybe not necessary but it feels good.

You can co-wash. Instead of using shampoo, wash your hair with conditioner every week or whenever it best fits you. Or you can look into the 'No Poo' method. :)
that happens when you wash it on a continual basis. your scalp overproduces sebum (the oily shit) because it thinks it needs it due to the constant drying out caused by washing.
I recently had a outbreak where my hair went really really waxy a few times. Never happened before. Used conditioner after shampoo and I think that helped, I don't even know what caused it, I think the suds and really hot water from the body wash caused it cause I had taken a bubble bath and dunk my whole head into the water, who knows. I don't think it's the specific shampoo that caused it, this happened using two different shampoo's.

She does technically wash it, just not with shampoo. I've seen people do this before and apparently you don't need shampoo. Obviously if you wait til it's really greasy then washing it with just water won't clean it but if you start before that I can see how it'd work. I've heard before that shampoo was invented as a marketing scam, some people swear that we were told we needed shampoo so we'd all buy it. This is actually how women shaving their legs and armpits became a "must". Gillette knew he could double his profit of he doubled his customers but women didn't shave, so he started putting ads in magazines saying all the popular, famous, rich women of the time had demanded a product for their "embarrassing problem" so people thought other women were already doing it so they needed to keep up. Very clever and sneaky coz it worked a charm. They even didn't call it shaving at first because that was seen as a manly thing to do, so they called it smoothing so it was more ladylike. I just watched a video about it the other day and found it fascinating. As you can tell 😂 but I reckon that's likely how shampoo came about too.

I haven't washed my hair in 2 months, and prior to that i did it once a week with baking soda. The greasy stage just lasted a week and now my hair is awesome!! It's the best decision i ever made and watching your two video's made me want to go on even more! Im so glad this experiment has worked out for you, I honestly cant do anything like this for my self as i would just be annoyed with the greasy, dusty and oily hair. My hair feels like this 2 days of not showering it would do my head in if i didnt shower for 12 months, but good for you and thats great if its worked for you.
Let me educate all of you. The problem she had was not because shampoo and conditioner are bad for your hair, she just didn't know how to use it. If you chelate your hair (there are videos on youtube for this) and wash your hair using nice shampoo (and only a dime amount) with hot water and then use conditioner, let it soak for 5 minutes, and wash out with cold water, your hair will be amazing. I wash my hair every other day and I have curly hair and it's SUPER SOFT and smells great and has lots of shine. My hairstylists tell me it's the healthiest hair they've ever seen. Sorry for the bad grammar, but this stuff is crazy. See how stringy people's hair gets?!? No hate, just saying that you don't have to give up shampoo and conditioner.

I havnt showered in over a month , so only sea water has gotten to my hair twice( like swimming ), and I eat all vegan mostly fruit and potatoes and bananas and like watermelon and I don't need to shower, I only smell if I have shitty food! I only wash my hair once a week and with sulfate free shampoo and sometimes I just cowards and it already feels healthier but this makes me realize I don't even have to do that! I can't imagine how great my hair will feel if it already feels amazing like this. Just a question: can I massage my head with oil so you think? I do that about once a week to promote hair growth but idk if I can if I don't wash it....
I would like to try this, but I just wouldn't be able to handle that period of time in which my hair would be oily and greasy from not using any products. Sometimes I do go a few days to a week without washing my hair and it just feels so gross and I get so self conscious about it. But good for you! In the shower I massage my scalp with warm water very good(like up to 3-5 mins) and brush it. sometimes at the end I flip my head upside down and run the water through my hair to make sure every part of my hair gets wet.

Of course it does :) If you have running water and you scrub your hair under running water everyday, how can your hair possibly be dirty? I have eczema and a couple years ago my dermatologist told me to use soap only in my private areas for like a month because of a skin flare up I had. Very good result, I do wash my hair every 2-3 weeks once with Roggenmehl/rye flour (full grain),but now I have the feeling that water also could do it, doI will start to test the just cold water hair wash, but actually I don't now if it's matters if it's warm or cold water, I have the feeling better cold. The first thing I noticed was that the structure of my hair changed into filler or something like spirallyand that the strands of my hair moving and lying more characteristic...But I do use some assential oils like evening prime rose/ Jasmin / strawberry oil, I have the feeling that putting oil into my hair and massage my bed with it and washing it afterwards maybe 1-2 days later or 6-12 hours later gives my hair good nutrition maybe not necessary but it feels good.
