    Love how the BG adjusts according to the camera. When I first saw the MV I thought it was really well done green screen and rotoscoping.

      r.Streaming.Poolsize 0 allows for full video RAM usage. I never get that error, anymore.

    This is incredible!!!! Man, I am so glad I transitioned to the Unreal Engine for my short films. This takes the power of Virtual production to whole new level. The shots look so believable. That real time feedback from the director to the performers is priceless and such a time saver.. right there on the set!!! just woow

    Because of the heavy characterization i initially thought that guy was a CG character and was very impressed... haha :)

    So freakin cool and impressive to see what started as a game engine for an arena shooter get used to massive multimedia productions like this

    wow the grading is really good, well balanced between foreground and LED wall. Great use case and much better than what i have seen so far in other productions where you clearly see where the physical set ends.

    so, what was the budget?

    • @Web3D.
      @Web3D. ปีที่แล้ว +7

      A lot less then it would have if it included post. prolly 1/5 the cost, considering their execution. I would estimate, ~60k, instead of $300,000. Speculation of course.

    • @SimonLab
      @SimonLab ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i think at 2:10 they both explain it pretty good not only how much less budget you ll need but how much more creative feedom you get from such a tool. and sure , lets be extreme and say that the budget at this point is the same as if you dont use the UE's enviroment, soon it is going to cost way way way less as it becomes more "exploited".

    • @Silentanwa661
      @Silentanwa661 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Easily 1+ mil, just the budget on equipment here is more than 10m

    • @Silentanwa661
      @Silentanwa661 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      not to mention artists for actors, 6 actors, makeup materials, set construction, hourly wages for the 20+ person crew, creative directors, assistants, post production crew, upper management having to put this all together (including paying the celebrities involved)

    • @Silentanwa661
      @Silentanwa661 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      So yeah every day spent shooting this is like 20-30k USD just to pay the people to even be there

    I can't even tell you how proud i was to see the texture streaming pool error on the top right in unreal. :D Showed me that I am not the only one ignoring it until i have to fix it.

    Can you track their location on the stage? It seems like if you can then you can add 3D effects so quickly without much effect post production. The flying part was cool but seemed too close and made it seem a bit off, not sure why.

    "What's your budget?"?!?!? If you shot that at the LED volume here in Vegas, 1 day would be $39K +, lol..

    • @briankennedy3038
      @briankennedy3038 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's a reason he didn't actually say the budget. Its because this level of tech is for elite filmmakers only and will probably stay that way for a very long time. The cost of the LED volume alone was probably 1-2 million.

    I hope this doesn't come across as brash but... I've been living in this world for about a year now and I have to say, producers really need to stop saying things like 04:27 "the only limitation is your imagination" and implying that it's low-budget. Getting access to soundstages of this scale can run from 10k to 30k per day which does not include your production costs like set dressing or crew... yes things are heading into an amazing place but let's pump the breaks on all this "it's cheaper" talk when you are speaking to indie filmmakers.

      I think they're the perfect ones to endorse and advertise this because they actually did it and know the ins and outs of it.
      And why wouldn't you be proud of your own work and talk about it with such excitement? It's not like they're calling themselves geniuses. They talk about the actual software. They're like most of us when we discovered Unreal and actually exported a short video of something we've built from scratch.
