    I have the 2023 SX .....love it, it fits many of the things I wanted, size , weight, power, looks and features. I've had a bunch of bikes. Long time ZRX guy and then many bikes additionally. I live in N. Florida so, my riding season and temps are a quite a bit better. I traded my Versys 1000 in on the Ninja 1000. The versys is a great bike! and then traded my 21 Z900RS in on a 4 wheeler (fun for grandsons trail riding) This is the first time I've had only one street bike in 20 plus years. Take care & enjoy the Ninja

      It's a great bike! I considered the versys 1000 but already have a proper adv bike (1090r). Like you I'm very happy with the sx.
      Hands down best street bike I have ever owned.

    First of all, I'm at home in Austria. Today (March 1st, 2024) I was at my Kawasaki dealer with my 2021 Ninja 1000sx and bought the 40-year Anevesrie Edition (Top Gun Maverick Style) Ninja 1000sx. My trip there and back was in stormy conditions Rain at 5 Crad Celsius, the heated grips on my old Ninja would have kept my hands reasonably warm if it hadn't been for the wetness. I envied your handlebar handguards when I saw the video! By the way, I rode my old one 21,000km and I can only say the best about this bike!

      Enjoy the new bike!.
      The hand guards are excellent.
      I can wear summer gloves down to 5c without being uncomfortable.
      I'm loving this bike

    Really nice video, thanks. I see these as modern VFRs with more power, but wondering how they do with distance? How long can you sit on the bike before you get sore? I heard the seat is pretty hard, but am still interested in the bike as an all day tourer.

      Thanks!
      Ive owned a 2001 vfr. Never got on with it.
      Had a st1300. Enjoyed that but way too heavy.
      Just sold a c14. Epic motor but again too heavy
      Have a look through my other vids
      I've done 1k km days on this with no issues. Stock seat.
      Only thing is you would need to get a screen to suit your body size.
      Otherwise from an ergonomic standpoint point it's damn near perfect.

      @@otmuppet Wow, that's surprising. Usually the stock seats on new bikes are throwaways. How is it two-up? I haven't been able to find anything regarding passenger comfort.

    • @otmuppet
      @otmuppet  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @zakw3637 can't comment on passenger comfort. I'm 1 up.
      Oem seat is decent. It's not peaked where the man bits are, decent width and flat.
      I do have an air hawk but don't really use it as I don't need it

    Where did you get the hand guards? Looks like a UK product. They only have guards for z1000sx 2019 so I assume they fit the 2020-24 models? Where did you get the TPMS from? Link? Thanks

    • @otmuppet
      @otmuppet  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You bet. Bought it from a US forum member, who got them out of Powderbronze UK. One thing iwth the guards, depending on wich windshield you get, you will get a touch of contact on full lock. fastbikebits.com/products/kawasaki-ninja-1000-sx-handguard-by-powerbronze-380-k101

      @@otmuppet Why the pressures are too low?. recommended 36/42? is there any diss/advantage with using 33/33 ? comfort/handling etc

    • @otmuppet
      @otmuppet  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jaythomasni I typically run 36psi front and back. It was a cold day.
      Keep in mind recommended pressure is for the OEM Tires.
      The dunlops mutants are very happy in the 30-40 PSI range.
      I don't think I'd go as high as 42 psi for the rear. On a warm day that could easily go to 46 psi on a warm tire

      Handguards are not needed on this bike, the front fairing steers away the windflow from the handlebar.

    I've had mine quite a while and I do a lot of touring and I will say I get about 250 mi to a tank. I don't think that's biofuel consumption at all and I don't exactly ride slow

    • @otmuppet
      @otmuppet  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's impressive.
      That's over 400km to a tank
