Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 is in preview now, it should be out in the middle of this year, honestly by the time a user knows these editions there is literally almost no reason to use the consumer editions unless you want to be a beta tester, you want to be bombarded by Microsoft services or need a bleeding edge peripheral. Microsoft treats their users like morons, as many other operating system companies do, unfortunately.

So I downloaded British English version of LTSC eval from the official Microsoft site, converted it into the full IoT version and used an activator for it. Works perfectly if you want a version other than the US version

You can actualy store other files on your rufus drive than iso so thats a good thing for rufus! I just inatalled it on my new oendrive at the day it arrived an then used it as a win10-11 installer and general file storage

I didn't have wifi until I connected with a mobile hotspot and performed a windows update, and my fingerprint scanner also no longer works since the drivers for it are gone. Audio seems to have some issues as well. Of course, all these issues can be fixed, but it's not flawless right from installing and requires more work to all set up

Why do people running win11 like to leave the default desktop image and menu position so that everyone knows they are using 11? I would not be keen to show it off. Its win 8 v1 all over again. Ie too simplified.

@@AndriyTech works pretty good and I got a oem license for it so no monthly subscription on it and with a few tweaks you can get the microsoft store and xbox live services installed
Got as far as selecting the drive, but it could not find any drives to install on. I've tried loading a bunch of relevant drivers from Intel onto a USB to help it discover the storage drive but nothing is recognised. Any tips? Brand new Asus notebook.

As far as I can remember, they were on different licensing options, so a home desktop user with a Win key may not be able to use it on this edition - I guess it can be tested to confirm, if this is the case.

I have just downloaded an ISO from Microsoft's website some 4.7 GB large with the file name: 19044.1288.211006-0501.21h2_release_svc_refresh_CLIENT_LTSC_EVAL_x64FRE_en-us EVAL, as in Evaluation? What does that mean?
Evaluation version is the full copy of non-IoT LTSC windows other than lacking the skus files of the full version, which means you can never activate it. It gives you a 90-day "evaluation period", in which you can enjoy all the features, but with the machine shutting down everything 1 hour.However, you can turn it into the full version through adding the extra skus files and configuring through cmd. You can also turn it into the IoT version with the right key in the settings app, since the system files aren't really different. Afaik there's no way a personal user can activate IoT legitimately, but you can use an activator from GitHub and get an activation up to 2038.

Try using a different USB drive.
Try changing Legacy to UEFI or vice versa
