Riverside Rock Crawl! - SCX10 III Jeep JLU

This is the first time trailing and rock crawling with the Jeep since we upgraded the DIG servo (see • Install A Full-Size DI... ). We hope you like sunsets, walks on the beach, and plenty of 4x4 action, because we are heading to the river and the previous scene of broken parts (see • Rock crawling ends wit... ).
The Jeep did great. The portal axles love this terrain. DIG didn’t get used much, because we were taking it easy. That, and we were filming handheld most of the time so we had our hands full.
This was the first full shoot done with the new DJI Ronin RS 3 Mini gimbal. It worked great and really is needed (by me) to get steady low-angle shots on a full-frame camera while trying to manoeuvre over this uneven terrain. The first shoot with a new piece of equipment is always stressful, but things get easier over time and eventually everything becomes second-nature. As they say about racing: you just need lots of seat time.
