    I don't have words for this - but if I did they would be as yours, exactly. Very Aussie way of dealing with this "thing". So many inventive ways of chucking the "thing" Knowing my luck I would lob it and it would take out 5 other models! Particularly as it comes with a curse as an added bonus. On most of my helos the blades are stiff and I never ram them home. But neither did you and they decided to split for the hills. Literally. Bit scared now. First the bisecting P51 and then the Chinook blade runner where the blades-well- fragged.

      Haha so you made it to the end of the video!! I don't really like making an appearance as it usually scares children and even the holiest of person gets the chills 😂 But I figured some brief vision of the chunky monkey won't hurt as it's at the end and most won't see it!! One of those nearly did take out the camera,haha. Yeah I have had some bad luck in the last couple of weeks, then when pulling my HM Spanish Hornet apart after filming the inflight part was in so tight while I was using their supplied tool it broke the corner off. So I am hoping it comes in three's and that's the last of it. I have just done a Forces of Valor JGSDF Chinook and their blades go on sooooo nicely, no stress at all. Thanks again for watching and if you are traumatised after seeing me please contact your nearest therapist 😂

    I had this same problem with military ones:( They should give everyone good replacement blades. Would love to see how you can save it :) For real lots folks would I bet.

      Ah so I am not the only one, dam its a shame it happens to their military ones as I had hoped it was only their civilian one because they had to make changes from their normal military version. Well I am not touching it for a little while,haha Will see in the future if it is resurrected. Thanks for letting me know you have had the same issue and for watching the video!! 🙂

    I have a Corgi Chinook and the rotors are a bit stiff as there's a mechanism that moves both rotors when moving one. It's easier to do when the blades are on and feels better. Mine although did not have the issue with the propellers breaking so you must have gotten a dud! Such a shame because I thought the paint job to this one looked great.

    • @heavymetaldiecast
      @heavymetaldiecast  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah I did not realise the two rotors work in conjunction with each other. Hmm even when trying to turn one I didn't see the other move, well I couldn't even really turn them at all as they seemed jammed. Definately feel like I got a factory second,haha it was a massive pile of 💩. I'm scared to open the other Corgi one I have ,haha. I was really disappointed too as I thought the livery was interesting as well and enjoy showing a civilian aircraft in 1:72 every now and then. I just did a Forces of Valor Chinook and their blades went on really easy,haha. Thanks again for watching!!

  • @slizevicius
    @slizevicius 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Well... Corgi quality... First of all, they make such a big model without windows and without an interior. And then the rotor blades. Contact Corgi, maybe they will send you a new one. If not, I think maybe they can be glued.
    By the way, the beginning of the video is interesting, as is the end 😂

    • @heavymetaldiecast
      @heavymetaldiecast  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah Corgi is starting to be hit and miss like JC Wings. Both those manufactures can make awesome models and then turn out some really dodgy ones!! Corgi wont really care, doubt they even know I exist. I bought one of my WW1 planes new off them and the black inner lining had degraded and cracked when I opened the box up before even touching it. Asked them if I could have a new liner and they said they don't have any spare 😂 Haha it shows you guys that I do open these up for the first time as I record the video, as it starts of all nice and happy like usual...then there's a fat old guy running around throwing stuff 😂 Thanks for making it all the way through the video 🙂

      @@heavymetaldiecast It is very good that you film when you open the model boxes and when you assemble the models. I saw that you are in the FB group, so I suggest that you post your video links there every time. I think this way you will get more viewers and the manufacturers themselves will pay attention. In this case, I don't really like Corgi. I am not a big fan of HM, but I have bought spare parts for models from them. And even several together. Therefore, now I always know that I can buy any HM model without fear. Unlike the Corgi...

      @@slizevicius Yeah I'm glad I do the video at the same time as well, although I may miss some initial flaws or details that I may want to mention. I feel it give a more honest reaction from me. Which being the average type of collector I hope would be the same for most that watch. Yeah I started getting noticed when I was using my personal profile, so thought I kind of want to keep my personal FB separate from my channel. I dont really often promote my videos, just when I felt a particular one was being talked about hoping it would help them. So I figure I will try and use the other profile when talking diecast as it should hopefully make it easier to use these two platforms together. I had an American subscriber send some awesome photos through of a park that has some great aircraft and a tank. Which I thought was really nice of him to do. I actually might as him if I can post them on the community tab here for people to see. As I have always said with the channel its not really about getting a ton of views or subscribers but hopefully just building a little community and to show case to people what out there. As you well know the hobby can be expensive, and if I can show a video that helps someone whether to choose to buy it or not then thats the channels job done!! Sorry for long reply,haha. I like Corgi mainly for their WW1 and WW2 aircraft they seem to do really well, and HM for their modern aircraft and 1:48 WW2 aircraft. But there are a lot of better manufactures out there that unfortunately either don't make them anymore or are extremely expensive!!

    Oh damn that sucks! I think every model collector has had one model in their collection that was a nightmare to put together and resulted in migraines and rage lol. I don't have any Corgi helicopters in my collection. What did you end up doing with it?

    • @heavymetaldiecast
      @heavymetaldiecast  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes the diecast gods were not on my side when I opened this one!! I still have it, although it has no rotor blades. But I just did another Chinook video that went together well, so I may use the other set of blades on this on as see how that goes,haha. Corgi normally do pretty good helicopters from other ones I have opened up!! Thanks for checking out the video!!!

    I have one of these purchased years ago still mint in box non assembled. Won't look forward to putting the blades on mine after this , contact Corgi and send them the video. Although not a new model given existing diecast pricing the quality control on this is truly appalling

      All I can say is I hope mine is a unicorn!! And that yours does not suffer the same issues. MIne had never been assembles either so was extremely surprising what happened. How quick joy turns to misery,haha. I doubt Corgi will really care, I doubt they even know my channel exists,haha. I tried once with an issue I had with a new model and the couldn't help. 😂 Thanks for checking out the video and I do hope the diecast gods smile upon you when you do decide to assemble yours 🙂
