WOW Excellent Review. And you’re the first reviewer that has given “total praise” unlike others who complained about wind noise, lack of power, gimmicky, won’t age well, a few more I missed.... I think the blind spot cameras are not only cool, but they should be standard as drivers are getting more lazy to turn their heads around.
So, the smart park feature allows you to be outside of the car so that it can be parked in a space that may be too narrow to open the door had you been inside. What about the poor bastard who is parked next to you and unable to get into his? Will he key you or maybe dent you or how creative will he become after he gets r e a l l y pissed?
Well, as long as you smart park into a spot and you are in the lines, its not your fault. Also, smart park is recalled due to a fail safe not triggering an emergency stop. The car doesnt detect anything is wrong, but knows something isnt right, so it keeps going instead of stopping. Dealerships are redoing the code starting in june.
The design has grown on me. I wish the hybrid model was available when I was car shopping a few months ago. Side note, the reviewer is a total cutie. 😉
Really nice review. Great length and I actually wished it had been a little longer. :) The new Sonata has great features, great price and looks to be a real winner in the segment. They should pick up all the customers Ford is losing with the Fusion and some others from the Japanese competitors. I cant wait to see the Optima/K5 and how it does with the updated platform. Looks like a winner too. The Koreans are KILLING it.
Nice review! Does it have an automatic engine start/stop system? If it doesn't, you should mention that. If it does, you should review how well the system works compared to other cars.
I like the 2020 Sonata Hybrid because it has a smaller and more tastefully shaped grill. The regular Sonata is just to gruesome for me. It looks rabid.
i been having this question for so long. so when u press on the logo it open the back trunk. what if someone just do that and stole your stuff in there? or do you just put nothing in your trunk? lol
I'm amazed that it has 2 gas struts for the bonnet/hood. 2! But then what let's me down is that the boot/trunk struts are exposed and will crush cargo since it doesn't go into a cover. I'd rather have that for the trunk than 2 gas struts for the hood since you'll use the trunk every day but not the hood.
The front lights remind me of an older accord. They'll get old quick but the back looks good. The engine is not powerful enough. Should at least be in the 200+hp/tq these days.
Primero diseño de la parte delantera deficiente, segundo la parte de atrás es copia de un Honda Civic, conclusión diseño de la carrocería no está a la altura de un diseño moderno.
Just mine last week, and I thought it was going to be also. But when I test drove it I knew it would handle any situation with effectiveness. And is still the case one week after. Love how it drives, you owe it to yourself to go test drive one and then reevaluate your initial assumption.
wait till you sit in it,,, its becoming more compact the interior size is shrinking,, my 2015 is bigger inside.. its bad enough for phones to be used while driving now a screen to take their eyes off the road.. i wont buy the new ones only the old ones...
2021 1.0 with 2 turbos lol what a Joke and I'm not into fast cars but what a dayumm scam . .8sec. Sunroof pretty good almost faster than the car ...GOOD REVIEW OTHERWISE..👍
Well, Camry sells at the rate of close to 400,000 a year, Sonata 80,000. I wonder why? Let's all switch to the Hyundai and take the chance shall we? Sounds of nature will put them over the top. Put a 3 year old Hyundai to a 3 year old Camry, see how they stack up.
@@gasstation405 And yet they still outsell everything else, other than the Rav4. Odd isn't it. I am not sure if any Hyundai's are recalled, the company itself is anti recall, they would let you suffer. But what do I know.
@@FlyGuy457 Oh really? If big sales equaled quality, I guess that makes GM and Ford better manufacturers than Toyota since they completely outsold them last year in the US. Take your blind fanboyism and shove it up your ass.
You can keep your Boryotoas! People like things that they feel are a safe bet. I bought a Boryotoa in 1989. That was the most boring vehicle that I ever owned. 2006 I was looking for an SUV. The rav 4 god what a boring vehicle. I ended up purchasing a 2006 Hyundai Tucson. I still own it. Very reliable and dependable. I still enjoy driving it. I took a chance on Hyundai and they have not let me down. 2007 my wife purchased 2007 Hyundai Accent. 2012 I purchased a 2012 Hyundai Azera. 2019 I purchased a 2019 Genesis G70. We sold our 2007 Hyundai Accent to our oldest son after purchasing the Genesis G70. Currently we have 2006 Hyundai, 2012 Hyundai Azera and 2019 Genesis G70. All great vehicles. People only purchase Boryotoa's because they feel they are a safe bet for reliability, not because they look good and are fun to drive. Life is too short to be bored to death. You can keep your BORING Camry!
Genesis G70 Thank you! Toyota’s are so boring and ugly. Everyone keeps trying to convince me to get a corolla but I honestly want the 2021 Hyundai Elantra. It’s beautiful, fun and reliable!
What I find humorous is Hyundai is so afraid of giving car reviewers their base engine to test. All reviewers get 1.6 turbo and dual clutch version instead of volume 2.5 and whatever transmission it may come with. Koreans are all about gimmicks. Go with a base Camry or Accord over Koreans any day and live a happy life away from dealer service bay.
Ive driven the base 2.5 in SEL trim. It had an 8 speed automatic. I was impressed with the handling and engine response. Its no Dodge Hellcat but its more than enough for a car buyer in this segment.
The 1.6 does not use a dual clutch. It’s an 8 speed regular automatic. The 2.5 is a great engine. Most automakers send out top trim versions to reviewers.
I have a 2015 Sonota hybrid with the 2.5 liter engine. Zero problems after 5 years and 65k miles. Still looking new and no rattles or squeaks. Still riding like new and gets 42 mpg plus. Very satisfied and would not hesitate to buy another.
Another UGLY fastback! No wonder SUV are the way to go. Who cleans the inside glass of the rear window? Engine is way too small, even if it is turbo-charged. V6 is much more "refined".
Easily THE best cabin and interior in the mid size sedan category.
Just bought mine last night. Love it so far! Beautiful car.

Lack of power?! And here I am planning to upgrade from 90 bhp to 110 bhp! Fml
I got mines, this jawn 🔥🔥
I am so excited about the future of Hyundai & Kia. Their car is so innovative. Now it's quality is at the top of its class.

Eh he hey fellow anon.
The Hyundai ceo look little fishy to me🤔

A quand dispo en France?
Smaht Park!
1:37 I agree. Lights do look fantastic at night.
The design has grown on me. I wish the hybrid model was available when I was car shopping a few months ago.

Luckily, I’ll be looking in Nov/Dec, so the Hybrid should be out. Woot!
Side note: Right?!?
The plastic area surrounding the climate control vents is hard, but overall a very nice package.
what's the trim in this one ? interior design is so nice !
Limited
When does the N-Line 2.5T come out?
290HP and over 300ft lbs torque.
That's crazy for an every day driver sedan.
I'm sticking with my 1981 Ford Festiva
Do you come with the limited trim? I need the whole package lol 😍 you’re so handsome.
Top speed ?

The base SE has auto stop start.
The SEL does not.
No,the 1.6T does not have it. Thankfully. I love my Limited!
Those DRLs tho 😍😍😍
4:13 CHECK YOUR MESSAGES!
VERY handsome 😉

Of all things, he had to make a reference to a heavyset person squishing the grill... 🤦🏻♂️
I was looking for this comment 😂😂😂
U offended ... liberals haha well far left liberals anyway lol..
Nice car sonata
I never ding my car it's always someone else.

This in electric would be nice
They got it in electric now
👍
The Passat is leading in class, in size, élégance, technology and beauty. In any case, good review as always.
Mohamed you forgot....unreliability, repair cost, etc.! Also, “beauty” is 100% subjective.
It's also 8 year's old. 🤷🏽♂️
I would still go with Honda accord any day 👌👌.
Underpowered
Steve F It’s been said they will come out with a 290 hp N-Line version with a bigger turbo 4 cylinder. Might be a year or so.
I own one and it’s more than adequate! The torque curve is broad and makes or excellent acceleration.

It sure does.
The interior is beautiful but the front looks like a frowning catfish

Hilarious, it hasn't even been a couple years yet and brand new Camrys are already being recalled for failing fuel pumps and warped engine blocks.
