READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING For those who are confused about any of the terms used such as "OSP" or "Bridgeblock". I recommend you read the description. As I explain in detail there. And before you ask. Yes, picking up mines still counts towards no traces. For No Traces infiltrations I strictly follow the rules of singleplayer, because the no traces bonus doesn't exist in FOB's sadly. So the closest official ruleset we got for No Traces runs is the singleplayer ruleset. And for those that STILL doubt this. I've got 2 videos here to prove it: 1. Mine Interaction is allowed in No Traces Infiltrations - th-cam.com/video/TFNFHwhvjtk/w-d-xo.html 2. Knocking is allowed in No Traces infiltrations - th-cam.com/video/mzpQhULjxyQ/w-d-xo.html I don't want to offend anyone by posting these types of videos. I just like to have fun with the game. I will remove any comments that are insulting or spouting.
The owners security log would indicate you left a trace when you picked up that mine. You appear to be making up your own rules. Picking up mines sends a signal to the defender /supporter so he can defend his fob. The picking up a mine thing by the camera was shown by xjmfx many years ago when the domino bridge blocks were developed.
@@schumy7383 I'm just going to repeat what I stated. My no trace runs utilise the no traces rules of the game itself. I don't care if it alerted a defender. You are able to pick up mines and still receive the no traces bonus in singleplayer. To repeat I am using the singleplayer ruleset for no traces. Not yours. I can even prove that it works in singleplayer.
@@schumy7383 Fob infiltrations doesn't have a no traces bonus. So the closest official ruleset we have for no traces. Is the no traces ruleset for singleplayer.
@@ObsidianRaven7 it isn’t my no traces rules. I don’t have rules. It’s literally the game modes rules because it appears on the owners security log after the infiltration.
@@ObsidianRaven7 you could always select a layout that doesn’t permit a domino bridge block by looking at the layout and mine location before infiltrating. Maybe put that in your upcoming video when you figure it out
It's good to enjoy the game in our own style and it's even better if we could try playing it in unique ways, that's what I like about your videos, especially the way you defend as security staff. unfortunately there will be few toxic people who can't appreciate some unique gameplay but it's better to ignore them. Not an easy task to do this on base with S++ guards. Well done 👏👏
It's all good bro just enjoy the game the way u like after all it's just a game people will play and think what they like I do like your vids keep it up
I wished when you chose to play as one of your soldiers, there was unique dialogue ocelot would give you instead of talking to you as if you were the boss
even if you use shield, wh10...and go full out...it doesn't matter..you play how you play and thats just fine...dont let these so called 'rule makers' (who believe they somehow set the norm for fob infiltration and defense) throw you off... great infil..
I just find it amusing that on the bridge the 2 guards come and don’t see a grown man just laying on the road 15 meters from them. MGS just isn’t comparable to irl.
I think this mode would be enjoyable if side roll was fixed, so you get sick after using it too much or you can't just spin a lot, and enemy vision was basically realistic, so they can see you from afar if you don't wear camo and don't opt for a very careful and stealthy approach. So far it kind of feels gimmicky, but nice run anyway.
wow that was amazing to watch, and your video description is also great info - is there actually an on-going comunity for this game? is there a discord or anything like that?
Obsidian, hey, one question. The last Nuke FOB that I was doing in stealth, and semi no traces, the defender entered the game, and I had not activated anything, nor slept any soldier. why did that happen?
People who hold nukes are notified immediately of any intruder no matter what you do. It's sad for stealth infiltrations so most people go loud when hunting for nukes.
im sure this has been said but....when you pick up a mine, or destroy anything bolted down you will send an alarm to the fob owner...funny enough, if you destroy the mine only no alarm will be sent..
Medical platform is actually my favorite to infiltrate along with support because I feel like it’s kind of quick to get to the core once you are on the final platform. Doing a no trace like this would be horribly difficult though
Yeah that's definitely the next step in these types of infiltrations. The Medical, Intel and Command platform are going to be hard as for no traces osp runs such as this. I'd have to get real lucky with mine setup on medical and pray that they don't have any mines setup by the core. Unless it's a non lethal base of course then all goods.
BTW does anyone know how to place the mines on the railing of the bridge? I can't seem to jump ontop of the railing or place them so they're elevated like that
hug the front wall of the railing then wiggle back and forth (left and right) and as you turn right youll have a moment to climb ontop of the rail, then you can place mines on it
Dolphin dive onto the ground, then aim your weapon and stand up, then quick dive while your character is trying to stand up. Repeat the sequence In terms of playstation controls the sequence will look something like this: (Square, L2 + X, Square) in quick succession.
Damn you fkin pulled it off I didn’t know you could pick up the elevated bridge mines that were facing you like that that’s so helpful to know! Major props 🎉 Do you think if there’s 2 cameras on the first bridge and 8 mines blocking it there’s a configuration where you can guarantee an intruder alert by forcing a mine to blow to proceed with infiltration? Be good to see your own security set up and how you have your FoB defence configured
Thanks for the comment bro. Yeah, I've come across it before. A bridgeblock in which there is absolutely no way to get past it without triggering a mine. They're usually all setup at the end of the first bridge. As for security I use Non Lethal security for the sole purpose to be annoying lol. Though they're actually surprisingly effective. I might make a video on it one day.
@@chrisoutlaws8069 why would you continue an infiltration if the defender comes online? Seriously? It's an infiltration, of course he's going to jump in the sea, I would. To continue a no traces infiltration while the defender is online is stupid.

honestly great infiltration the only problem i see is picking up mines since it sends a notification to the defender to come defend his base, doesn't this mean you broke no traces? correct me if im wrong
Cheers for the comment man. Sadly when it comes to FOBs, there is no no traces bonus for infiltrations. Which means that we have to resort to using other rulesets for a challenge. In my case, I utilise the no traces rules of singleplayer itself, which is the closest official no traces ruleset we have. Singplayer dictates that picking up mines is allowed in no traces infiltrations and so it was all goods with me.
