Why when i try to infiltrate the guards have a 30km vision and when i watch these kind of videos i see people walking right past them, say hi to them and asking how their day was without any alarm or anything
@@ILoveFinishing same happened to me in free roam, i wanted to be kind so i shot everybody with a non lethal weapon and fultoned everybody except one cuz i forgot, when he woke up he instantly saw me from 200m
5:30 lol wtf this trademark mgs goofyness is the reason we keep playing this game lol you would think NVGs are a bad idea in high hot summer sun huh nicely done o7
That's why on PC I increased their vision and hearing to more than GZ levels (they have 150% in GZ, 100% in PP vanilla, I set mine to 200%). I hate how you can stand 50m in front of an enemy in broad daylight and they can't even see you.
@@spikey288 hugely affects their security. Higher security level = higher dmg resistance, higher security alert sensitivity (will investigate every little noise or movement they spot or hear).
Non lethal stealth infiltrations give so much happiness for me compared to lethal approach and the game encourages stealth by giving more points for the same . I thought you are done @ 5:50 lol you've kept your cool and found a way to sneak past'em . Well done 👏👏
If u have proved or played lethal , u should know u need to hide, meaning u are playing stealth too, well i mean when u are not fighting with bots, stealth PvP is good toó, but lethal is stealth too.
probably use railing to sneak past the mines, although im not sure there's railing on the relevant spots. also would mean being exposed to uavs and soldiers on the sides.
Since you're not getting anything from the Olive Drab Camo, you should use the tuxedo instead, that would be rad. James Bond shit. Also, doesn't the rank of the guards make them respond differently to stealthing? Respond better and faster, or am I just imagining that?
Still hate how this game just, refuses to goddamn allow you to I don't know.. *ACTUALLY ENTER MISSIONS WITH NO EQUIPMENT.* OSP missions exist in vanilla game already so it is an existing feature.
5:34 You kept moving and you were clearly in the open, and yet they still lost track of you right away, how does that work? That’s some early game Peace Walker levels of AI there.
real answer, the ai in this game is both the best of its kind (at least at the time) and one of the worst out there simultaneously. the ai has a few quirks that, when exploited, makes them seem like complete idiots. most notably, the detection system is completely bonkers, as it works on a point system to determine the range at which you should be spotted, it works on intervals, with each of them determining both the range at which guards will see you and the range at which they'll detect you. unfortunately, crawling gives so many points that, if you pair it with anything else, be it a shadow, grass, etc. you'll be on a very high interval, making it hard to be spotted. basically, it's all about spacing. another thing is that guards have a ton of tunnel vision and overfocus on things, meaning that if they're looking for something, it's hard to break them out of that action. if they hear a small distraction, there's some time before they can be distracted with another thing, as they're focusing on something at the moment, letting you slip by unnoticed. the tunnel vision thing means that, especially when they're looking for something, they have really bad outer peripheral vision, as you can be right next to them and they won't notice up until you're in front of them and a bit to the side relative to their position. all of this combined means that, for example, if you are crawling and a guard sees that something's there, you can just keep crawling and, even if they get near you, they won't notice you if you keep moving a certain distance away from them, pursuing you infinitely.
When you are in Aerial Command Center/ACC/chopper, there is 'security settings' menu. There, you can setup 'key security zones' on your FOB platforms. That way, once you get your intel team to level99, when enemy player lands on your platforms the security will start giving those 'special alerts', making one or two soldiers check up the 'key security zone' that you chose. In other words, during 'special alert' you will see some guards patrolling the platform roughly in place where owner wanted them to patrol.
Nice job but I can't recommend doing this in fob you got to be really lucky doing this that no defender shows up cause I would not want to fight Quiet or the HOJ with this current set up I would just jump off the edge immediately lol at least go out on ur own terms 😉
Imagine saying “all units: special alert. Out” 200+ times a day and still expecting your staff to be on high alert
why does CP even say that over and over again? what triggers it?
@@scottthesecondcoming if I had to guess, it’s based on platform clears. Troops render in and so the audio queue follows

What outfit are you wearing. The sneaking suit doesn’t actually make you harder to see just your footsteps make less noise
@@arniepage1662 0:38 Just the standard olive drab uniform, which does blend in more than a pitch black outfit.
Use the squares camo for FOB infiltration
The guards vacantly staring past you as you roll around on the bridge is hilarious

The ai in this game is pretty good, but it will always amuse me how they can't see a grown man flopping around their base like a dolphin.

i forget how moderately tense the MGS1 music was!! wow! i loved this infil. solid work, snake
So this is how the intel team sneaks around during venoms missions
This was crazy close, be good to see you hit mine/cam bridged fobs this way I’m not sure some of them are even possible

Man, your starting to get pretty popular with your skills GGs bro!
I just realized how important the crawling in this game. No wonder why I always get caught
You're called Snake for a reason, not Cheetah lmfao
Im so happy people still play. This game is addicting asf I've picked up two rivals since I came back. 😂

Respond better and faster, or am I just imagining that?
Yeah... S++ , S+ guards will be more attentive and fast, E guards are kinda slow and take their time to respond
That ending. Wow. Tense af but so satisfying.
Yeah that was cool, but a true pro meassures their skill against actually hard missions like mine clearing 8
TRUE!!

special alert?
thats the game alerting the defensive player that their base is under attack and is giving them the option to join in. He was probably afk.
The “special alert” over the radio means that the FOB owner has assigned different security patrols than the standard
