I bought the game at the Christmas sale, played 20 hours, and since I couldn't use my PC for a while, I just had to continue now. Start a new game because I was only on mission 12 and finally unlocked fobs after 40 hours on a new save. This game is very addictive, and I really regret that I did not play it years before. So far I'm training on event fobs and it's not as easy as it seems, but I think that sooner or later I'll learn. It's good to see that the game isn't completely dead, because i think i stay here for a long time.
Welcome to the club! This game scratched the stealth genre itch that Deus Ex and Dishonored could not for me. They are great games but the stealth mechanics of MGSV have been the most satisfying to me. It’s not perfect but it still holds up to this day. Cheers 👍

Welcome back to the club lol, the FOB is nice if you play frequently. But if you dont play for a long time and see your stuff has been taken, it’s very discouraging!
Glad im not the only one who still plays fob. Gj not getting spotted and beating a defender player at the same time. Still need some of those top tier defenses need the stealth guards. Levels you need for them are ridiculous but after loging back in after a year i got a ton of pf points to help with that.
Hi, thanks for the kind comment! FOB defense has a certain difficulty spike (more like a grind spike) when you get to the higher levels, like high 50s and 60s. MB coins help to speed the process a little if you have the spare cash. I had the spare cash but I just grinded while I procrastinated other responsibilities lol
Man when I try and stealth fobs like this usually the thing that screws me up is the high tier uavs and randomly placed cameras, it's only made worse by S++ sniper staff that give you only 10 mins and will instantly spot you if they're slightly on edge. I did a mid tier fob invasion on my channel and you can see that I start killing people immediately after realizing I have 10 minutes lol it's really stressful.
Hi, the snipers are certainly on edge as soon as anything looks out of place, but I find that regular hand grenades work well in diverting their gaze away from the bridges or from your projected path. Cheers!
Their battery's being drained by a grade 9 UAV (note how the UAV's airframe is coloured in black instead of the usual white/yellow). They can't equip NVGs or launch rocket arms and stuff so long as they're within proximity of the UAV.
I've been doing FOBs on PC and they're pretty fun. I've only had a defender show up once and I just jumped in the ocean lol. Maybe I'll be braver if it happens again though like you.
Lmao, that's so me. I'm like, you'll never catch me alive. The real problem is that I don't have a wormhole generator, so fighting the defender multiple times seems pointless.
Yesterday there was 1 intruder tried to steal my nuke on the platform i did not set up any security, good thing i was online and that dude is an amateur
Yo I think I might just try and pull off what you did question is what tier is your Gas Tranq? 2 or three? cuz I only got tier 1 and still working on getting my Wormhole Gen, plus I'm on PS4 so I'm tryna get it down a little better I was used to the PS3 just rushed in as snake because I never had to worry about rivals
Hi there, if you're referring to the pistol I used, it is Grade 8, which I think might be the second tier (that pistol does not start at Grade 1). If you really lean into the stealth and can make it to the core of the FOB in time, you could potentially get away with the first tier pistol. Good luck on your endeavors!
@@Caedarva Yeah I'm on grade 7 Gas Pistol, sometimes I can make it no problem, Or I run out of ammo, I'm usually running a lethal AM-DR with custom Drum Mag and high suppressor to deal with the drone since I switched out my Non-Lethal Shotgun due to resources and changed to my Non-lethal Sniper, but I'm still too chicken shit to not go out as snake lol, I'm still getting used to my loadout because of the Shotgun swap cuz I'm still tryna get enough Precious metal to start my Wormhole Generator. Long story short I'm still in need of developing certain things
Greetings, I would like to buy the game from Steam Winter Sales mainly for the online stuff because I played offline before. How active are both MGO and FOB on PC? Thanks in advance.
Hi, FOBs are pretty active, especially after you start getting comfortable with it and your rank increases. Then that’s when your FOB starts appealing to the more active players. As for MGO, I couldn’t tell you because I don’t play it lol Cheers
Thank you for the feedback! Shooting cameras and claymores will send out an alert for defenders to show up, but walking into the claymores does not send an alert. As you saw, I screwed up by destroying the camera with the claymore on the first bridge.
The electricity effect is from the UAV drones’ ability to passively drain your battery while you’re within a certain range. I forgot which development grade you unlocks that.
He's not using the Burkov but the FOB event pistol, the A114 RP. It shoots mini gas grenades and can sleep heavily armored enemies, sometimes even indirect hits near them.
