great video man! I love that you did a history video and went to the park instead of just doing a traditional theme park review. Keep up the great work!
[From a neighboring town not too far from Farmingdale] Dude sick video, I used to think I knew a hell of a lot about Adventureland but some of the things in this video I never even knew about. Well done on the format and editing in this as well
used to go a lot as a kid and worked there as a teen. in the mid 2000s . I only remember going around once on the Hurricane. Also at night we would all run once the park closed and park the bumper cars. I have fond memories of the feedback in the speakers everynight as the closing music played.
Great job Matt! And a great service to Adventureland! I had the good fortune to work there in the late 70s and I can tell you for a fact, the town came up with an ordinance that we were not allowed to have any more rock concerts after Twisted Sister. 🤣🤣 Have you seen the movie Music and Lyrics with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore? I'm sure you would love it and quite a significant portion of it was shot at Adventureland.
Lol I really wish I could’ve found some footage of that night or even pictures sounds like a crazy time. I’ve seen some clips from it but not the whole movie.
Nice video! One thing that I still wonder about is the evolution of its mascot. I remember at one point it was a clown type character in the mid to late 2000s. (Featured on the admission bracelets)…The theme song for the park too. Who recorded it & its development?
@@matthewdejesu2115 The superhero character was introduced over 10 years ago I believe around the time when the logo changed for one season to promote going green in 2013/14.
I’m from Long Island too and have been wanting to know more about adventure land! Awesome video!!!
Hope this satisfied your curiosity! Thanks for the sub!
Forgot about the twisted sister debacle and no fuggin way would I get on those coasters. You are a brave man!
I had to do it for the video!! Now my friends want to drag me to 6 flags! I'll need way more luck for those coasters! thanks for watching :D
what a top tier video. the way you've used the vintage music and clips is so great. very immersive!
Thank you very much! 🙏 Glad you liked it
