  • In this video we start the build series on the SAB Goblin Kraken 700. My first kraken 700 build and it does not disappoint! Just like the Kraken 580, it’s a incredible looking and built model! Very excited to fly this one!

    I literally got a Kraken 700 s delivered today. Thank you for doing these videos. I watched the 580 build and it helped immensely.

    Nice. I just ordered the torq servos and xnova 4025 1120 for my kraken 580.

    Damn that’s a badass setup! Surprised he didn’t match the kontronik esc with a kontronik motor? Probably wanted to save $400 at some point😂

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is! No definitely didn’t want to save anything LOL he already purchased the ESC prior to meeting me and I recommended the X nova motor as that is my personal choice of motors to run.

    The builds lately have been incredible. I know the Gaui NX7 you built recently isn't yours, but where's the maiden video ;-)?

      Thank you! Been trying to bring as many build videos as possible! So I am waiting on some 20% fuel to show up before I can fly it! And this weekend it is supposed to be ridiculously cold so hopefully next week I can get the maiden in!

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 I certainly appreciate all the videos. I'll watch out for the maiden. Stay safe....it's supposed to be well below zero (before wind chill) here thursday and friday.

    Jeff - waiting on my Kraken to arrive to start building. Are you using actual Microlube GL 261? I can't find that stuff in a manageable tube size anywhere.

      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, yes I am. I buy it on Amazon and it’s around $40 a tube. It’s on sale right now! I just bought two more tubes. Here is a link!

    I picked up an SG741 yellow and blue second hand (but new in box) recently. You mentioned the motor and said “the only motor to run, xnova 4025”
    I purchased the xnova 4030 lightening for mine. Is that going to be a problem?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I meant Xnova is the only motor to run. My personal opinion they are the best motors on the market! The 4530 is what I would personally run in my 700 for more power but the 4525 is going to be enough power for him and his flying.

      I’m a big Xnova person, been running there motors for years now and they produce incredible power they are the coolest running motor out of any of them on the market. And I have never burned one up or had a failure.
