    wow really enjoyed that! you have a nice flying style similar to mine (but of course mine is not that advanced, haha)

    Really enjoying this video and the flight style!
    My PIUMA has pretty much same setting for 6S - Scorpion 4025 1120KV, HW V5 150A with SAB blades come with the kit.
    Maiden it this morning and the ESC shutdown after just about 1 min flight due to over loaded. I understand pitch management is important for such set up on a 700 size heli, but not sure is it really that sensitive?
    Wondering any tips to share so I can stick to this 6S setting and enjoy this beautiful heli.
    Thanks!

      Thank you!
      What motor pulley and headspeed were you running? And are you sure it was an overload and not overtemp? I try to make sure it stays below 80 degrees celsius. I managed to shut down the HW 150A in my RAW 580 once, but I was running without the fan and flying aggressively at a lower headspeed than I should have for how it was geared with the Egodrift 4025HS in it.

      Thanks for the reply.
      I use 20T and HW governor at 70% throttle. Hovered it the RPM is under 1800. Vbar Control Touch recorded 195A peak amp and 49 degree peak temp. ESC shutdown when I just try to do tic toc.
      Will Vbar governor does better job than HW in this regard? Will it help if limit the pitch to +- 11 ? I fly sport 3D for now.
      Thanks.

      Pretty sure I've pulled even more than 195A with the HW 150A in my 580, so it's probably not that unless you're also averaging way more amps. And 49C is great. Could try bumping up to 80-85% and see what happens. If you plan to mainly fly around 1800 then you should go down 1 tooth for sure. SAB recommends 19T for an Xnova 4025 1120kv at 1850 RPM and 1950 RPM with the included 20T. 70% would normally be fine, but maybe not when trying to swing 700s?
      Not sure if the Vbar gov will help, but it wouldn't hurt to try. I personally use it just so I can easily specify an RPM.
      I run mine at +/- 13 but I also try to be lighter on the collective with this one. Going lower might help. Everyone flies a little differently and maybe 11-12 will work better for you.

      Thanks for the tips, will give it a try next time get my PIUMA back in the air. Waiting for Skid to come which got broken after maiden flight.

      Hi Robert, I closely reviewed the record in V Control and you were right. It was not over current but under voltage that caused the ESC shutdown. Recorded min voltage was 19.7 right before the ESC shutdown while the 195A peak occurred at the early stage of the flight. The battery was a fresh one, with 100C rating…
      Anyway, will go easy on the heli and battery next time and see how it goes.

    XNova 4025 1120kv, what shaft does the piuma require, A,B, or C? Thanks!

    Nice flying 👌
    Peak amps?
    20T pulley?

    • @RobertBurrow87
      @RobertBurrow87  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I forgot what this flight's peak was, but so far all the flights end up with 180A, give or take 20. Still using the 20T pulley, but going to go to 19T or maybe even 18T and fly it with a little lower RPM.

      Thank you, yeah definitely running an 18t or 19t pulley will bring those peak amps down and give you longer flight times.
      How much pitch 12.5?

    • @RobertBurrow87
      @RobertBurrow87  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Currently at 13 but I might end up dropping it to 12-12.5 depending on how the motor pulley works out.

      Thanks mate 👍
      Also what percentage did you bring the battery down at? 30% ?

    • @RobertBurrow87
      @RobertBurrow87  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I run them down to 3.7-3.75/cell, so more like 20% by the end.

    What RPMs do you have your governor set at?

    • @RobertBurrow87
      @RobertBurrow87  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've changed it up some then, but at the time with the 20T pulley I was running it at 1620/1840/2000
