Summary of this video:
Wealthy Expat discusses why he believes wealthy individuals and immigrants are leaving Canada. He highlights several reasons, including an increase in crime, the prevalence of woke culture, high taxes, a lack of entrepreneurial spirit, and the country's healthcare system. Wealthy Expat also criticizes the government for its censorship and control over citizens' lives, as well as its plans for climate change lockdowns. He suggests that wealthy Canadians should consider moving to other countries such as Mexico, Dubai, and various locations in Europe.
💀 Crime Increase in Canada
Canada faces a significant increase in crime.
Fentanyl crisis, escalating addictions, and rising homeless numbers contribute to a less safe environment.
Random attacks on the streets and metro stations have become more frequent, creating an atmosphere of fear and unease.
🌈 Woke Culture Impact
The woke culture in Canada is intensifying, affecting the overall societal atmosphere.
The government actively promotes and pushes woke ideologies, including LGBTQ+ issues.
Pride flags and banners are omnipresent, and there's a concern about the government's influence on societal values.
💰 High Taxes for Canadians
Canadians, especially the wealthy, face high tax burdens, surpassing 50% of their income.
The tax system includes sales tax, personal income tax, corporate tax, and regional taxes.
The taxation pressure, combined with a high cost of living, prompts many to explore other countries for better tax exemptions.
🏙️ 9 to 5 Work and Die Mentality
Canada exhibits a prevalent "9 to 5 work and then die" culture.
Lack of ambition for entrepreneurship and wealth-building is notable.
Harsh weather conditions, especially during long winters, contribute to widespread depression and a lack of motivation.
🚑 Healthcare Realities in Canada
Despite the promotion of free healthcare, Canada's system faces challenges.
Wealthy individuals often experience long waiting times for appointments and screenings.
The lack of incentive for healthcare professionals and overcrowding impact the quality of healthcare, prompting some to explore superior healthcare options globally.
🚫 Censorship and Government Control
The Canadian government is increasingly exerting control, censoring news, social media, and podcasts.
Financial consequences, such as bank account closures, are imposed on those who resist government directives.
The government's dictatorial trajectory, coupled with plans for increased immigration, raises concerns about individual freedoms and autonomy.

Our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyperinflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.
I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value. I would be happy if you could advise me based on how you went about yours, as I am ready to go the passive income path.!!
‘Amber Dawn Brummit’ is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
I just looked her up on the web and I would say she really has an impressive background in investing. I will write her an email shortly.
Funny, Brits are leaving GB. Germans are leaving Germany. Chinese are leaving China. Pakistanis are leaving Pakistan. Iranians are leaving Iran. Mexicans are leaving Mexico. Argentinians are leaving Argentina. Turks are leaving Turkey. Canadians are leaving Canada. Where is everyone going?

Please folks dont listen to this guy. The best option is not to leave Canada because grass is not greener on the other side either so stay put!. There is no economic better place in the world today. Transfer of wealth usually occur during recession and market crash, so the more stocks drop, the more I buy. this is the best time to invest aggressively. Lets wake up guys.

My greatest concern is how to recover from all these economic and global troubles and stay afloat especially with the political power tussle going on in Canada.
Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over $250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.
I learned from past mistakes not to rely on rumors and hearsay for market judgments. In 2020, I held worthless positions until I revamped my portfolio with the help of an advisor. Since then, I've scaled up $450k in 2 years, regardless of market conditions. It's all about where you're looking.

I'm Canadian. My family came here from Germany in the 1840s. I'm not going to cut and run just because we have one POS government at this point in time.
Let's remember. Financial and economic problems are always 100% man made. Canadians have to wake up and start voting responsibly.
And hold the government at all levels accountable to the actions on all sides. Right now, the free pass isn't helping!
I understand. But Canada isn't for everyone.
Voting will not change anything. The WEF is running the Canada's current direction.
@David-135 I can't say one way or another. Outside of our electoral systems for the federal government, they are broken and never properly represent the population.one things for sure, we will see what cones next but more importantly in my opinion is what happens after that, given most Canadians short term memory.
What are the problems you're facing?
I visited Vancouver last year and I was sick to see this on the streets in the middle of the city. I felt uncomfortable as a tourist and in a way unsafe. I'm born and raised in Montreal. I left Canada a month ago. I'm exploring South East Asia now with plans to explore Eastern Europe and South America to look for a new place to live. It breaks my heart when I see what's happening in Canada. I really didn't want to leave but the country is dying. The political class are all bought and sold. My warning to other Canadians. Leave now before it's too late
I was effectively barred from leaving the country for nearly a year during the man-made pandemic given Canada's disrespect for fundamental human rights. So your "leave now before it's too late" is entirely valid. The current Canadian government is increasingly dictatorial and they will, given their focus on increasing the population, do everything they can in the future to try to force people to stay.

The grass is always greener on the other side. Nearly every country has serious problems and unpleasant aspects to it - you just don't know what they are until you live there for a year or two. Be very careful with regard to leaving Canada or any country for that matter because, more likely than not, you are trading one set of problems for another. Before subjecting yourself to the stress and expense of moving to and living in a new country, be very certain you know what you are getting into.
That's a smart answer.

Having visited a homeless shelter to assist a homeless person, I was horrified to see that the people flocking around the homeless people, waiting for a bed and a roof to get out of the frigid cold, many looked like Holocaust (Shoah) death camp survivors, many just skin and bones! This is not Canada, but something very sinister. When I asked why more shelters and more permanent homes were not being built, the staff at that shelter told me that they didn't need any more. So, the police take down tent villages of homeless people, but give them no place permanent to live. The federal government created MAID (euthanasia program based on Nazi concentration camp tested drugs and methods) to cull the homeless and all those who are a burden on society and the government. Canada is becoming another Nazi Germany-style state. We need help urgently!

Problem is that politicians pay checks and pensions are indexed to inflation so when they continually screw up by putting us further into debt, the average Canadian has less buying power and their extravagance doesn't not diminish their future buying power. There should be no inflation increases and they don't deserve what they are currently paid.

Canadians are a left-wing people, and they are getting exactly what they deserve. I emigrated from England back in 1976 with my wife & 2 young children.I was a Police Officer in England & joined the Canadian Police (after I was Sponsored by them & therefore had employment arranged) .We lived & worked there till I retired in 2002 and decided to move out of Canada as it was getting too expensive AND of course the cold winters were getting too much. Now I live in Anguilla BWI where it’s warm ALL year round yet only a short flight for my family in Canada to visit.
We immigrated from Germany to Canada about 12 years ago. Really liked it in the beginning but it has become quite bad. Extremely low wages compared to the cost of living, taxed to the max, propaganda media, extremely inefficient government, regulations&rules are getting worse every year, health care system is completely overworked (you better dont get sick),.. but I know that the majority of people in the western countries, especially the ones with a mortgage and children, are struggling. I am assuming that it is overcrowded inAnguilla (too many people)? We looked at Panama but really dont want to go through the whole immigration thing again..
You "joined the Canadian Police"? Where are they headquartered? I've never heard of "the Canadian Police". I've heard of the RCMP, provincial police forces and municipal police forces. But never "the Canadian Police".
Glad to hear you're enjoying Anguilla.
@@fabiancanada8876 - Anguilla the cost of living is extremely high. Every food item has to be imported. It is safe since it is an extremely small island (25km X 5 km) with no airport. As a ONCE PROUD older Canadian I would STRONGLY URGE ALL PEOPLE looking to immigrate to look elsewhere. Everything that was the wonderful free, secure, safe, affordable-ish, fun country I grew up in, IS TOTALLY GONE starting in 2015 and rapidly getting frighteningly worse every year after. If my entire history, children and grandchildren were not all here I would move in a HEARTBEAT. I moved to Canada because my parents wanted me to study here. They promised me that I will love it. But I got depressed and have lived here for 1 year. I had to break all of my parent's dreams about my life. I have enough money so I bought ticket to leave the country.

Are you sure you have actually been in Canada! Complain about the weather? Most places in Canada do not have winter 6 months of the year in fact most Canadians live within 100 miles of the US border and do not experience that much winter. Not to mention you can't say Canada is going downhill because we have winter, that's absurd. Sadly - I agree, I left pre-pandemic... looking back, best choice. The only point I would disagree with is the willingness for the healthcare staff to help. The system is broken but generally, nurses, Doctors etc really do want to help.
It's all possible, and you will thank youself if you choose the make change. I have been hearing a lot about "slow travel". instead of choosing 1 place to relocate to, enjoy 3 or more months in any one place to "slowly travel the world.
I have helped several people "digitally tranform" themselves - because you NEED a job. It's all possible.
I’m from a family of nurses, and they do want to help. You’re lucky to have gotten out when you did, cost of living and outdated infrastructure has turned this once beautiful country into a hellscape.

He went to icu... then he was fine... taken back to icu... then he was fine... back to icu... then he was fine... I thought they were gonna let him out.... get a call that night that he's back in icu... When I got there, the doctor recommended palliative care.... cause he said Icu would probably prolong the inevitable...
I don't know what those nurses were doing or not doing, but every time he left the icu, he went back a day or two later...
Now I hear that the government has recommended the doctors push for palliative care... safe to say that the Canadian government and their health system killed him cause old people are useless in their eyes... you are nothing but a S.I.N in canada

The issue I'm aware of with nurses is the effect the union has with the way things are done.
A senior nurse can take all the overtime shifts, then they complain they are over worked.
The junior nurse are not allowed to take the overtime because of union rules, which gives senior nurses priority.
😮 where did you move to?
Mixed experience with Canadian healthcare staff. They do put the better staff in the more serious positions. Eg. Nurses in the cardiovascular ICU are much better than the nurses in the maternity ward.

I spent a lot of time in Canada years ago and I came to the same conclusion, that people there were just going through the motions. They had no joy, just a robotic sense of existence. I suppose they feel trapped or like slaves, with no real ability to have true freedom of thought, no personal wealth because everything reverts back to the state and 50% immediately reverts back, so there's no advantage to working hard.
In America, I thought Cincinnati Ohio mimicked Canada in this gloomy senselessness.

You are wrong about taxes in Canada..... Working as a heavy equipment mechanic in kitamatt b.c. as a t4'd employee they take 58% off your cheque to start. Then in b.c. you pay 12% tax at the stores. Then depending on where you live you pay between 2000 to 5000 to the municipal government.
In Canada you have three governments to pay off!!!

Provincial
Municipal

@@-Ordinary-Average-Guy Shame of the whole situation is that I don't see any solution until the system collapses. Stop being an employee and become a business contractor and that way you have more write offs such as vehicle, fuel, home office etc. Are you entitled to an isolation allowance due to your location. That money is tax free. Construction and oil field industry use the isolation allowance. You would have to check out the rules but an informed accountant would know the guidelines. If you can use the isolation allowance then as an example : You normally earn $ 350 per day. Renegotiate with your employer for $150 per day isolation allowance which is non taxable and paid by separate check from the company. The remaining $200 is taxable income but puts you in a lot lower income earning bracket and so saves money in less taxes.
