Thanks for adding this video. I can’t find many hatchback videos. This will help me when I wire mine up. I got a set of these lights for my 22 hatchback and they didn’t fit and line up. I guess they where for the sedan model. I finally ordered another pair but I like your pair better. Can you share the link for the light you brought? Keep making more videos!
did you figure out where to connect the white wire from DRL? i think it also lights up in blue, right? which is powered by the white wire but I could not find where that white wire connects to.
Great video, a question, when I install everything correctly, but when my car is on and stopped, it won't let me turn off the headlights so that the dashboard lights up
The headlights shouldn't change because you are tapping into those wires . The DRL will always be on , because they are Daytime Running Lights . The headlights also have a strip of daytime Running lights above the headlight units but im not sure why the headlights won't turn off if all you did was tapped into its power source . Do you have a sedan or hatchback because the wires are different
@@abscivicduty sedan, the problem I have is, when the car is stopped without the lights connected because I have to uninstall them, I cannot turn off the car's own headlights, all the lights keep flashing, both the headlight and the cabin lights, I don't know what the problem is, thanks for the help
Thank you so much for your help! It took me forever to figure out that I could use the purple wire to connect with the yellow wire on the other side. SUPPER helpful! Also, I tried to connect the white wire to the green wire form the headlight harness it worked but it did not turn off when the engine is off. Is the green wire a constant power?
Thank you for watching my video. Yes, it is the secondary constant power. The purple wire tripped me up as well. The green wire works but i dont like the lights continuously running either.
How did you do the wirings for the DRLS? I've installed mine but I couldn't figure out where to wire the DRL and the start up sequential. :( I've done exactly as you did in the video.
Did you splice or tap if you tapped like i did you have to bend the copper around the metal parts of the taps so when you screw them in there a good connection. Dont panic brother ive been there its most likely not a strong enough connection
Removing the bumper - takes 20-30 mins installing the lights requires alot of gentle pressure best to have a helper to speed things up . That and the lower grill took 45 mins and to put everything back on took another 20mins . Then wire tapping about 15mins altogether . 1hours 30mins .
Props to you for bringing up the hatchback pink vs purple difference. You definitely just helped me.
Thank you , the 11 gen hatchbacks get no love almost all mods are made for sedans first .

Dope, what T-Taps did you use?
Sorry for the delay. I used these Lockitt Posi-Taps . Here is the Amazon link: amzn.to/45seX3I.
