    ive watched the build on this mower multiple times over along with Cars and Cameras build, countless others, and i can finally, finally start mine, just scored a craftsman that is only two years old, wasnt worth replacing the deck.
    this is going to be fun

    You are now my new favorite TH-camr, I have the same lawn mower and I was thinking the same things you were. I plan on doing the same thing I just didn’t really know how to do it. Thank you 👍🏾

    Thanks bud for the lowering idea on the front with the spindles that's a hell of a good idea, I'm going to flip the TA instead of a jackshaft I think

      I mainly got the idea from CarsandCameras, good luck with your mower on flipping the transaxle. If you film the process I would like to see what you come up with!

    That’s sick bro I got a lt1000 trying to lower it welded up a cool pipe for it done some other mods to it gonna lower it next and get a smaller pulley for the back lol did you flip the axle? Mines hydro static so hopefully doesn’t hurt nothing

    • @IngenGarage
      @IngenGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks man! I didn't flip the transaxle because I would have to completely redesign the mounts, linkage, brakes, etc. Hydro static should be fine with a pulley swap, I can't really say much because I haven't really messed with them you know, I only done gear boxes lol. I do enjoy your bike content, got some great facts that even I learned! Keep it up!

      @@IngenGarage also gotta ask you how to do sise belts? So if I let’s say go from a 4 inch pulley to a 2 inch would that mean I just just a belt that’s 2 inches shorter? Sounds like a dumb question sorry lol

    • @IngenGarage
      @IngenGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@keeganhache6667 Yeah it does sound right lol, but that is talking about the diameter of the pulley, not the circumference. So the belt would need to be longer though. A great way to measure the belt is to get a piece of rope the same size roughly as your belt and put it long/rap it around like it is an actual belt, let the clutch out and tie the rope very tight then take it to the store and measure it. Whatever size it is, I would get the next smaller one so that way it will be a bit tighter and grab better and the clutch will still allow it to slacken. Over time they stretch a bit which is why on my offroad lawnmower I made a custom belt adjustable belt tensioner so that way I can run multiple belt sizes lol. FearlessFront has some good info on all this stuff as well.

    @taylorsmith145 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If you put the reread up side down you can run the belt back on it and make a shift

    • @IngenGarage
      @IngenGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I might try that with another lawn mower one day, and it would only go backwards in the forward gears, and I wanted to lower it and add a jackshaft that would give it even taller gearing!

  • @Notaexperiencedman
    @Notaexperiencedman 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Let’s just say, I’d lowered mine 2-3 inches wanna keep the back pieces you cut off. How excatly do you get the belts from front to back? I would assume it would be in the way but what do I know

    • @IngenGarage
      @IngenGarage  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If your belt from the front to the rear is off by like 3 inches you need a jackshaft in the center. one is running the engine and the other runs to the transaxle. I got a full video on it and CarsandCameras does too.

    Great content buddy. Also Just a tip. Continually spray your drill bit with wd40. Keeps them sharp and you’ll run cooler and go through the metal faster.

      High pressure, low speed is the way to use a drill.
      The chips or curl will carry the heat instead of the bit

    • @IngenGarage
      @IngenGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since the rear is lower the belt is out of alignment so next video we will be hooking up a jackshaft to transfer power from the engine and put it back to the transaxle.
