    How would you cook the chicken and rice at the same time? Lay the chicken on top of the rice?

    • @youtongtube
      @youtongtube 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, just put the chicken on top of rice, not quite as much sauce as that. Any meat of fish cut up into small pieces can be substituted ❤

    That's a great idea on freezing the leftover teriyaki sauce. I always have just a little of this and a little of that and end up tossing it since it's now just my hubby and I. Another great recipe I can't wait to try. Thank you.

    Wow like that? I have the Aroma 8 cup so I could make the rice. Then the chicken plus put veggies in the steam basket. You think that would work? Thanks

  • @Jarachi5
    @Jarachi5 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Awesome! Might try this out one day. I was wondering if it would yield the same result if I added some sliced carrots and broccoli rather than steaming them separately.

    How long did the Chicken take to cook?I just bought a Rice Cooker Please do more of these videos

    • @ThirdStreet.
      @ThirdStreet. 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think it took about 20 min or so, maybe a little less, to cook the chicken. I just waited for the cooker to click to warm. Larger rice cookers will have some different times I think. It was sooo good. I think I need to do some recipes in my larger rice cooker too in order to gauge the adjustments. Thanks for watching!

    I only have one button on my rice cooker will it work the same on those cookers who have many buttons?

    • @ThirdStreetKitchen
      @ThirdStreetKitchen  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It should. Just check the chicken a little over halfway through. If I leave mine in too long it cooks too well done for me.

    How long does chicken 🍗 take to cook in the rice cooker??

    • @ThirdStreetKitchen
      @ThirdStreetKitchen  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on chicken thickness. These chicken tenders took a out 12-15 minutes. You can always check them halfway through.

    Nice Video did you add water at all when you cooked the chicken?

    • @ThirdStreetKitchen
      @ThirdStreetKitchen  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did not add water. If the sauce is very thick I would add a little.

  • @KyojuroSamaa

    For how long did you leave the chicken in??

    • @ThirdStreetKitchen
      @ThirdStreetKitchen  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Between ten to twelve min for these small pieces. Thicker ones need more time or until it clicks off. Check halfway through the first time you try it.

    Could you use boneless chicken breasts instead of thighs? I think I would add a little red or green bell pepper chopped, maybe some Asian pea pods. Looks really good, and simple. Love your channel!

    • @ThirdStreetKitchen

      Thanks! You could add all kinds of goodies! And breast meat would work nicely.

    Why didn't you add vegetables?

    • @ThirdStreetKitchen
      @ThirdStreetKitchen  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally I don’t care for sauce on my vegetables. I prefer them just steamed or roasted with a light bit of salt. But certainly add them to the teriyaki and chicken if you wish. Many enjoy that.

    It looks really good unfortunately she didn’t cut the fat off, my husband would get one little bit of fat in his mouth, spit it out and very loudly declare he couldn’t eat it, it makes him gag.
