With my pass holder Discount total was $120 for me Not $500 to $1,000 like some of the lies people been posting in the comments the Sith version of the Tunic is exactly the same as the Jedi only difference is well... Color depending on your body type and size you might need to make a few edits which I did the other day with the use of Iron on Velcro

@@Citizen13 A lot depends on if the outfit fits you perfectly. James' belt in this video didn't fit really well; it was all wrinkled and messy under the "leather" belt. You'd also have to make an Inner Tunic for under the tunic shown here, as ITs are a requirement for Rebel Legion.
The complexity of the robe was the real reason Anakin turned over to the dark side

Belt clip having a D-Ring clip along with a covertech slot is really smart.
If only the d-ring clip was a bit more thought out. It's obviously made more for the covertech, with the d-ring being secondary, and harder to use.

FYI for the Belt that comes with the Tunic a good recommendation to avoid clips coming off like it did in this video is you can do other option like changing the connector parts or maybe use a velcro strap

@@Mikelo223 Over at the outfitters you have the following options between Youth size and Adult - Tunic ( which in this case is Over Tunic ) , Belt , Robe the rest of the parts you will need to gather to complete the outfit such as the Under Tunic many options on Etsy . Pants , and boots
the "belt" that comes with the tunic is not a belt, it's a sash. Like the ones you wear with a tuxedo at a wedding.

Both Sith and Jedi costumes are heavily influenced by Japanese medieval fashion. The fabric belt is known as the "Obi" and the attached front sashes are known as "tabards". There's probably a Japanese name for the the tabards but it escapes me at the moment.
hello guy I was 10 years old when I wached the first issue a new hope in 1978 in France. always a child in my heart when we talk about Star Wars.
Sir James decided to buy the tunic, belt, and robe in Batuu. Definitely worth the credits. I priced out trying to make it and definitely worth it. I agree the robe with a slot for the blade would be nice but looking to modify it .
Would highly recommend it. I purchased a set of jedi garments prior and the quality was really cheap and the cost about the safe as Batuu.

The clip also works with the old Hasbro pladtic sabers
The "nubby thing" is called a covertec wheel, almost all the custom saber companies have been using them for years
I dress as a Jedi whenever I do an event I was very interested in what you were showing. Thank you. The fabric almost looks like calcutta---which is what used to be sold a very very long time ago and now can't get it at all, as I have a tunic made out of that material. Once I get a chance to go to Galaxy Edge I'm going to very seriously look at the Jedi tunic and decide to possibly add it to my Jedi costumes. I'm also going to look very closely at the Jedi belt and food capsules to see whether they will work for me.
I remember cosplaying Obi Wan Kenobi and this video completely brings back memories on how many layers do I need to complete the look. 😂

JokerAsylum actually, it’s the Episode 2 Kenobi lightsaber. It gets taken from him upon his capture on Geonosis. The Phantom Menace version was similar, but obviously lost down the same shaft as Maul.

Brilliant to see a review of the costume. As a SW costumer - and no, I'm not going to be all heavy and knock the costume, I really like it - I was just going to say that for the obi (the cloth belt part) you'll really want to add some velcro to the back, rather than use the little clips. That will mitigate the problem you had with it slipping apart. You either sew in the velcro, or use a barge glue (applying to both the belt (where the velcro will go) and also the back of the velcro pieces, let go tacky for about 5 mins or so and then apply the velcro to the ends of the obi and apply pressure for 20 mins or so. You'll then have a real solid fixture. You can also make the velcro good and long and that will help get the obi a little tighter around your waist. You can also easily pick up third party 'food capsules' that you can then add to you belt if you want to.... looking great and thanks again for the insight and video :-)

The biggest gripe I have with the costume(without being too hard on it, like you said) is the obi. I don't understand why they couldn't just add the extra fabric length and make it a proper obi. Would have been much simpler to wear and no bits that can pop off. Other than that seems like a good deal for people wanting to get into the SW costume world.

Well they are clearly shaped like Mickey's head. But still not a hidden Mickey. A hidden Mickey is something you have to look for, not easily noticeable...that's 100% noticeable and not even remotely hidden

yea there robes are not too bad and depending on your budget it's a good option only if you have more to spend then some etsy options can't do wrong with :)

97% polyester is NOT a good thing. It might "feel" nice, but that's going to get very hot. Not great for walking around a park all day, especially in summer. You can get very good Jedi robes and entire costumes online made of much better material, like cotton, which breathes much better. There are a few seller who can even provide custom color pallets.

Look at red5va's video called "lightsaber blade holder" this way you won't need a pocket in your robe and you can just attach it to your belt for very cheap

I'm in the middle of making a smuggler/jedi/mercenary type cosplay like Kanan Jarrus or Kyle Katarn. My Luke's RoTJ saber just came in today, and I'm going to use my mauser c96 replica and its holster to make a DL-44 blaster pistol.
Wear a brown t-shirt backwards. The higher neck look adds a lot. Brown dress pants and some costume boots from Amazon and you're good (except for the robe).

I’m glad the kids version has sizes because as a skinny person as well I’ll be going with a child’s Rey belt. Since it’ll also be cheaper
The belt clip is kind of funny though since the retention seems to be so good where the clip interfaces with the lightsaber, but is so weak where it actually hangs on your belt. So really, it might not let go of the lightsaber but I do think there's a chance if you jostle it enough the whole contraption can come off your belt all at once...
And it kind of sucks that it's a two-handed ordeal to remove the lightsaber. Yes I know it's fake and you're not really going to use it as a weapon, but I think for it to be like theme accurate, it should have a retention system that's both secure and fast to draw. I think if the nub was held in by like spring tension where it takes a good yank upward to break free from it, that would still work to not have it fall out on its own but at the same time you can remove the hilt with only one hand.

My current Jedi robes I got from cosplaysky years ago (yeah I know a Chinese company making things that are barely accurate if at all) don't really fit me anymore, so I've been looking for an alternative that isn't going to pretty much demand an arm, a leg, and half my midi-chlorian count, lol. Anyone, those had no mechanism to hold the shoulder pieces in place and they fell off often. My mom has some experience with sewing and so she took some of that, and got it sewn onto the shuolder pieces and the shoulders of the tunic itself and that did the job well enough.
A blade holder INSIDE the Jedi robe. Now that's one for the books.
Honestly that should become a standard thing IMO considering more and more lightsabers from the cheapest to the most expensive have detachable blades now.
The name for the shoulder pieces are called drapes, I think. Nice video!! Looking good in the Jedi outfit. A tip for the belt: do not have the clips on you back, but rather to the back and a bit sideways where the pouch is or to the side where the lightsaber clip is (preferably the pouch is a better option) so that its constantly hidden . Are there any different colors for the tunic?

Every time I go I wear the Jedi or Sith Tunic with Zero issues Tunics are allowed just not the Robe

Went to Galaxy's Edge Orlando this weekend and got the Jedi Robe and belt but they were sold out of the Jedi tunics.... soooo bummed. They said they've been sold out of Adult Smalls, mediums, and larges for the last month.

the do have the undertunic. the have both the over and undertunic the belts and the robes
there is no under tunic at the park only items where Belt , Robe and Over Tunic for both Jedi and Sith style
I agree with Trident. The tunic you bought is the undertunic. I had a friend how was there and he bought all the Jedi outfit parts they had and he got the tunic you bought, another tunic, the belt, and the robe.

The Jedi/Sith Tunic will run you $70 as for the Belt Youth size is $50 or the adult size is $60 if you are an annual passholder that has the 20% off merch you actually save $25 so for me I only paid $105

I’m going to buy my outfit off an external website before I go to Disney World for 2 reason. First and obvious reason is price. The price of each component from the parks is too high in my opinion, you can get much cheaper on amazon. Second reason is because I’ll only be at Galaxy’s Edge for a day and if I buy it while I’m there I’ll barely be able to wear it at the park.
You should also add a disclaimer that Disney will NOT allow adults to wear any of this inside the park at any time (Exception might be on Halloween). Kids can do whatever they want.

I read that there's a Sith undertunic and an overtunic. At Disney park Galaxy Edge they have a Tunic then the belt sash.

Those lightsabers need the smooth swing font. Than you'll really feel like a Jedi or Sith.
They're still too bulky in my opinion , as opposed to korbanth sabers or other replica saber companies

I actually like the styles , especially the old republic and Nature element ones. Since it reminds me of the Swtor MMO lightsabers.
At the price those things are it's surprising the blades are even that bright. The electronic boards are the absolute freaking bare minimum. Did you see the clash effect? You have to wack them so hard and there is a half second delay. My Neopixel/Proffie Starkiller from Korbanth has instant clash from tapping a finger on the blade... but at 3x the price I guess it's unfair to compare. lol
What is the difference between the over tunic and under tunic
I'm glad it's simulated leather. I don't like wearing Animals so I'm thankful that I'll be able to purchase one of these. I think I'll definitely use that pouch for the kyber crystals. Maybe even a little snack.
Wildfilm Productions I can understand not liking that animals are killed for leather but for clothing that serves a purpose (not for costumes and fun) real leather is a very durable and long lasting material.
In this case, the fact that this is all for fun and serves no real purpose other than for show, it’s good they used faux leather for sure

If the only reason for you not buying a robe is because you want a pocket inside for the blade, you could take the robe to a seamstress or most dry cleaning places and have a custom pocket sewn in for about 5 to 10 dollars. It would take all of about 15 minutes. Anything on Etsy is probably going to be similar fabric but a lot more expensive as it's custom work. Not trying to be a jerk just trying to help save you some cash man. After 20 years in the Army you can find a ton of seamstresses and dry cleaners to hook you up and make adjustments to clothes cheap. I can't tell you how many times I've had to change patches or tailor my dress uniforms over the years and it's a lot cheaper than most people think. If the Disney robe was cheaper than I would advise you to grab it with the quickness man, lol.

I bought the tunic and belt and was super happy with the quality but super disappointed with the size. I am a shorter guy but stocky and it’s like I needed a size in between the small medium large and the XL double XL triple XL. I feel like they need a medium large extra large. Total bummer I hope Disney corrects this

You could have spent more time adjusting everything, it's all bunched up still. The cloth belt is called an Obi. The hanging pieces are called tabards. And the clip is called a Covertec clip. They originated from cell phones.
To be fair the smallness of the child's belt probably didn't help with the bunching and the hanging pieces are a stole for some reason people confuse stoles, tabards and scapulars all the time.
in All fairness I've never had something like this before , I've never heard of these words you mentioned also keep in mind I will need to add velcro for how the front attaches same for the belt , plus it was a little difficult tying to get stuff right when using a well Youth Jedi belt rather then an adult size that would of been better but sadly I can't control what sells out in Disneyland
The Jedi attire was inspired by Japanese kimonos and karate uniforms. And these were the terms for all of the pieces(well except for the covertec clip)

Are there any specific Inner Tunics and robes you would recommend for a Jedi? Ones that have the holder for the blade like Palpatine’s does.
there are many options for inner tunic depending on what you want to spend for the robe sadly the seller I once knew who had the robe with pockets isn't around but I don't think it be hard to maybe add it on

You missed a major trick having that greenscreen behind you. just a little simple overlay would have worked wonders for your video rather than simply hiding your bedroom :)
The problem is at the time I had just my phone for recording I attempted to use it but it didn't work out plus I needed a bigger space to show this item and well that is the only section I had to move in
