I actually don’t mind the “poor” quality of the audio because the holograms at least in the movies do seem to have poorer audio compared their normal comlinks. And this is further emphasized with the static at the beginning of each phrase.

I mean, that's how holograms work in the films and tv shows.
I would have rather they put in an aquata breather rather than the micro binoculars.
Black Pidgeot thats what I thought too, but then kids would be wearing it in water, and thinking they can breath, and might drown.

The Jedi Com-link is accurate-sized. As sagshan mentioned, that base real World part was a 'Gillette Sensor Excel' ladies razor - no longer available. So the prop is accurate in proportions, and the silver colour is reminisce of Qui-Gon's one...

I think it is accurate sized, and the greeblies not 100% screen or prop accurate , but not too shabby at all. A little detail paint and a little weathering and off to the cosplay races!

The holographic pad is great but I feel they could some additional characters in the future it would be nice if some buys more than 1 of this if the communicator could be use via Bluetooth

The sound in the voice transmitter thing, all of those sayings (or almost all) are from my favorite episodes of Star Wars the Clone Wars
The clones lines are exactly the same as the ones you get in the live sized clone trooper helmet they sold in stores a few years back.

Hey when you eventually want to get a connector piece for your jedi temple guard sabers I would have someone make one for you that could bend like in rebles like how he had it bent where the two sabers were touching and flinged them Into one piece
I feel like the entire thing is for play so the goggles don’t need a zoom in motion
I read somewhere that the comlinks in the prequels were shaving razors marketed for ladies that were given a paint job, so the comlink in the Jedi box was probably actually *better* quality than the ones in the movies ( though it won't give you silky smooth and hairless skin).
Too bad you can't pair 2 comm links together and have it be a walkie talkie....
My mom had one of those razors when I was younger and when I saw the movie I noticed immediately I turned to my mom in the theater and I was like thats your razor! she was so confused why I was talking about her razor lol
The clone figure is cody,but has quotes from multiple clones
CC-2224 (Commander Cody) is definitely my favorite clone.
I find the comlink way to funny considering you can see the item used for the movie prop

The taller figures look pretty good when lit up on the communicator

The clone is actually comanda Cody you can tell by his back pack and his little antenna he has on he’s suolder (Sorry for the spelling)

Looks like a good set for cosplay to me. Since I collect the figures, I'm rather looking forward to adding the holo-projector to my collection (eventually).

the reason why Grievous clips are good then okay, the clone wars Grievous didn’t have as much of a distortion as ROTS Grievous. clips were from Liar Of Grievous from clone wars, and ROTS Grievous
after the Obiwan show, people recognize these items a bit better, they make for great props if you are doing a cosplay plus they have some functionality. Also if you hold the comlink button down for a longer duration, you get more sounds.
I had the original version of this set that came out for the phantom menace with quigons foam lightsaber, jedi belt, and a padawan braid, compared to those plastic bits that did nothing this is a major upgrade

That’s the imperial comlink, which can be used to answer the phone and as a Bluetooth speaker.

They’re all accurate to the props at least in size and details
I’m 100% in for this kit
1. the Holo cummunicator should use the RFID tech that the Kyber Crystals and Holocrons use so that we can get other "Holo images" (like Palpatine, Mace, Skywalker (Ani and Luke), and Leia)
2. the Communicator should have the ability to record voices
3. the binoculars should have sometype of light up "targeting system" in it.
4. and it should have came with the aqua breather as well
I literally had all of these items back in 1999 for the Menace release 😂
uhuhuh1966 I remember that. I wasn't even into star wars yet at the point but I remember the toys. The action figures came with little chips that would work with commlink
Joe Victor me too exactly! I was never into action figures but thought the fact they could talk and interact was sooo cool
uhuhuh1966 same 😂. Never bought any of the action figures (saw my cousin buy and use the figures with the commlink) but you couldn't escape it back then. All the Toy shops had star wars figures and basically everywhere else had star wars stuff too. Pepsi, crisps, chocolates, sweets. Everything was made for the phantom menace and it was everywhere
To be honest, I expected the comlink and the holoprojector to just be useless chunks of plastic like the macrobinoculars. Maybe lights for the holoprojector. To hear voices from The Clone Wars (and Episode III) makes me far more keen to pick this set up.

looking at it from a prop maker's perspective the basic shape of the comlink reminds me if a ladies razor
They used one in menace I think
the original prop for the commlink was a ladies razor with some dodads added... it was also "small". its hard to tell exactly from the video but it looks pretty accurate at a cursory inspection. whether that changes your opinion or not - thats up to you :)

I would keep the holopad and figures in the belt pouch, to use as a cosplay prop if people want a photo...
I hope the holoprojecter can have more figures and then I could hear the emperor say his best “Execute Order 66”

You'll find that the comlink is spot on for size and accuracy as the original prop was made out of a woman's shaver. The holopad on the other hand is way too big

Update: Dok Ondar no longer allows you to buy scrap metal. I finally decided to build a lightsaber today and went in thinking I would get extra pieces and they said they no longer sell scrap metal. Also, wanted to buy an extra kyber crystal and they only let you purchase if you buy a Holocran and they only had Blue and red.
Just a temp. thing until Disney gets a proper handle on there inventory
Yea I figured. I was literally there last Sunday and I was able to buy a kyber crystal.
Just got back from galaxys edge last night myself after learning this first hand. It’s really disappointing because not everyone lives in California and can just go to the park whenever. Some people live out of state (myself) or out of country and can’t make a trip like that happen very often. It’s unfortunate that there are people that would stock up on supplies just to make a profit off of them
Yea unfortunately some people see it as a business and buy to resell and screws everyone else.
Also, only maul and asajj are available for legacy sabers

Still can't beat it for the price. This was the final piece to my Obi Wan cosplay. I'd rather pay 5$ more (35$) to buy it on Ebay than spend 50$ a pop for something of similar or worse quality on Etsy that doesn't even make sound. So personally I don't mind the crappy audio, to my It's a hint of realism.
Gotta love to know the com link still looks like women's razor without the head.

This could work for both Jedi and clone cosplays
Considering that the comlink prop was made from the handle of a woman's razor, that one looks about right.
The comlink is actually screen accurate. The film prop is actually made from Gillette womens shaver . I researched it an actually made one. So that comlink is pretty even with the holographic device.
They should add a rebreather and remove binoculars

Have you tried putting the binoculars on while you play the three characters on the holoprojector?
The only bad part is for the holoprjector is the light is half life on Cody and grievous. It lights up full for yoda.
