Thank you for your service! Great Vids.
We have “Wings Of Hope “ in Buffalo, NY area that does that as well. Great cause, glad to see you helping people by sharing your passion.
I love it! It’s definitely something that I wanna do going forward. I definitely want to do Angel flights. Thank you for serving others as you build your brother. That’s a good look!
Your employer may also be willing to waive PTO for community service. My employer allows us to volunteer for community activities and they even cover the cost of food and they give us up to 40 hours a year. They can right it off as charity so you might want to ask them.
Welcome to the club, I started doing Angel flights back in July with my Mooney. You have even done trips with my same passengers.
Corporate or Airlines?
Wish there was something like this in the UK. great videos and great support for a worthwhile cause.
What a cool thing! Wish I could afford to fly, count your blessings my friend, it's good to see that you're sharing them. How Wonderful!
Glad to see things are going good for you. We kinda miss you in the Paramotor world but we all “Get it”.
Great cause, glad you’re able to do it.
Keep it up Tom, fly safe!
That is so awesome!!! God bless you for doing this. I know your doing it to build your hours but I can tell your doing cause you are a good guy and you care. 🙏🏻
I was looking at this as well. This looks awesome man.
Thanks for the reminder to sign up with them!
So awesome 😎😎😎😎😎😎
Angel Flight West you can be a VFR pilot. Looking forward to when I can do it!
I’m very glad you are volunteering for Angel Flight. You do not need to be instrument rated to fly for Angel Flight.
Thanks! For Angel Flight Soars in my area you do need to be instrument rated. I’m learning from these comments that other regions don’t require it.
Awesome vid. Thanks for sharing
kudos Tom!
Good morning Tom. I love watching your videos. my girlfriend and I have been talking about getting a Mooney. Just so we can travel more places on the weekends. We were trying to talk about fuel mileage on our car versus the airplane, but there's no way I can speed our car up to 200 miles an hour, lol. Could you do a video about mpg's with your mooney and just for giggles, slow it down to about 80mph?
On average I see about 17-20 NM/gal (so convert that to SM/gal). Also, max range for the Mooney is at 105 mph actually but that would be a good idea for a video! Side note: don’t ever try to justify an airplane based on cost, it will never work haha. Flying is awesome. That’s your justification.
I always thought the problem with destination flying is securing cost efficient ground transportation.
@@oldsuitman7762 nah. With Uber and Onewheels you can usually figure it out. 🙂
Working on my instrument rating...❤
People like you make people like me what to do the things people like you do.
Well Said
What ipad yoke holder are you using?
Thanks for the video. What is the name of those sunshades you're using in the back seats?

How did you get your headset wrapped like that?
I bought the wrap on Etsy.
The video incorrectly states that the pilot must be instrument rated. As of only a couple of months ago, that was not the case. You are also allowed to use a rental aircraft. Experimental are not allowed last I checked.
Directly from angelflightsoars.com: “The minimum requirements for an ANGEL FLIGHTTM pilot are 250 logged hours and an instrument rating. Once ANGEL FLIGHT receives your application and all supporting documentation, we will email the pilot orientation to you.”
@@Tommyflies hmm they must have changed it… older documents I see from 2021 don’t mention IR…
were did you get the stickers for you bose headset?
Etsy 🤙
Angel flights are awesome, the only reason I haven't done them yet is because I'm not instrumented rated, so I would be very limited here in Pacific Northwest... I'm confused though. What kind of person who has the kind of money to pay for 1500 hours out of pocket wants to go to the airlines? That makes no sense. That's on top of all the training! That's on top of all the aircraft expenses! Isn't that completely off the hook insane? Pilots don't make a lot of money, how would you recoup these expenses?
Excellent🫡
I feel your pain paying for hours.
How did you become a comercial pilot with only 500 flight hours?
FAR 61.129. You actually only need 250 hours.
@@Tommyflies thanks for the reply. That’s awesome man. Maybe you should do a video on how to become one with only 250h or so (unless you already have one and I haven’t found it). I looked at a few on indeed and most want at least 1500h.
@@Never_quit you’re thinking about the minimums required by most airlines (part 121). A commercial pilot certificate is a requirement and is commonly confused with ‘flying for the airlines). As a commercial pilot you can legally get paid to provide pilot services. Just have g the certificate doesn’t guarantee a job.
I would have to disagree with you, why not add on a Single engine sea, multi engine and/or glider ratings to build your time!? after all you still paying for those flights. I feel that Angle flight can pickup some of the expense through their donations and they should provide the airplane as well. Were are not a part 135 operator.
