- I’m so excited to share some of my recent mastermind retreat to Chicago with you, and I’ve had a lot of questions about what a mastermind group is and how to join. Today, we’re going to talk about the benefits of a mastermind group, what a mastermind group is, and whether joining or creating one might be a good idea for you.

I have not, but I'm thinking I would love to be.
I'm a member of a writers' mastermind and we write Monday through Friday, 2 sessions a day. I've written 2 novels since July which will come out this summer. And we're all doing amazing projects. Interestingly enough most of us are alumni of HB90 and Publish and Thrive. We're always referencing Sarra.

I really liked this video. I would love being part of a mastermind. A group that shared my intrests and was actually interested when I talked about my ideas.
Sarra this was an absolute delight to watch. You are clearly having a great time and are in your Element. It shone through so clear and made my heart glad to see someone else having so much fun. TY to the other Ladies for also allowing them to be shown, it added to whole tone. People supporting each other to achieve their dreams is such an incredibly energy. If only you could bottle it!

I would LOVE a mastermind group. A mastermind/accountability group is what I really need. I am rarely on FB as it it too distracting/overwhelming for me, so I don't get as much out of groups as I used to. A smaller, more connected group would work so much better for me! And I would love a HB retreat!! Make it happen, Sarra!

I’ve always wanted to be in a Mastermind. About five years ago I was invited and it was fine for a few months then it petered out. I sign up for one of Amber’s class and I hope to join her CEO group when she opens it. I’d totally do a retreat! And a mastermind.
I think a mastermind group sounds awesome. Sometimes I wish I had someone that I could bounce my thoughts & concerns off of. I'm new to writing but have so many ideas & am unsure how to to manage everything. So yes having a group or someone to chat with would be great.

I had no idea you were coming to Chicago!! I live about 40 minutes from the city.
Well, I've had 2 critique groups, both of which I did for years and that have just petered out over time. I really am wanting to get back with authors again. It so helps my creative energy. I've never heard of a mastermind group before but it looks very interesting. I think it could help me to the next level. I would love an author one and one that has business people too. I can do the creative side, no problem, but the business side is a huge drain on my resources and my energy. I've been seriously considering whether I should keep going or not. Maybe something like this would help me get my excitement back. A retreat would be amazing.
In person, a retreat sounds fantastic. I would love the chance to meet other authors in person.

Oh my goodness, it looks like you had a blast, and this just made me miss Chicago so much! (I relocated to Cali just before COVID)
I've always loved the idea of being part of a mastermind (or hosting/attending salons), but I kind of feel like I shouldn't join one until I've published my first book; like I wouldn't have anything to offer a group until I've done that part. Maybe I'm thinking about it the wrong way?
Either way, I would LOVE to be part of an in-person retreat or Mastermind if you decide to start one (bandwidth willing, of course)!

@@jeanninealexander5148 I'm in SoCal, the Inland Empire area. I did find a few larger writerly events in the LA area, but the price tag's a little too rich for my blood right now, haha.
Too far for any kind of meet up. I hope you can find some free or less expensive ones in your area. I'd just like to find a writing group to meet up in a cafe every couple of weeks or so. NaNo isn't doing anything in person yet. Wishing you good luck!

I'm more of a lurker than a participant, but I think I'm in a place with my writing, video creation, and job where I'd be into a Heartbreathings retreat. Would be neat to meet some other people, check in with their goals, where they are, and maybe get a few takeaway ideas.

HB retreat would be awesome. Even make it affordable for people so they can go specially those that are starting out or been around for awhile.
I've never been part of a mastermind group--but have been part of support groups for authors and another for witches. I'd love to be a part of a group that helps with plotting or scene development. I use tarot to plot and once I've moved into my new place, I'm going to start filming YT videos on this! Scared to death to start this venture, but if authors only knew how awesome and enlightening tarot can be, everyone would start using it. :-)
