I've been struggling to get my mojo back into writing/editing. I love how you keep pushing forward by trying a different approach until you get the desired results! You are an inspiration Sarra!! Thank you for sharing your insights and your journey! I like the idea of starting with one day a week where I can give myself the freedom and dedication to just focus on my writing...it really puts the proverbial “to-do list" at bay - even for just one day. Besides, I have the rest of the week to work on that! Such a simple idea, yet so elusive when you're in the middle of it all and want to do it all! I write Christian fiction and don't get into the witchy stuff as a personal choice (no judgment the Savior loves everybody) . Your message really resonated with me so much! I have so much going on that my brain never relaxes enough to get into a creative “producting” phase. I try to consume a lot of stories for later ideas, but can’t seem to create my own these days. I live with my parents and my kids so being the only one between the generations means I usually am the one to drop what I’m doing to help with whatever everyone else needs. I’m sure that having a day dedicated to being creative would be a game changer and I’d make that shift yesterday if I could. However, I’ve learned that expecting yourself to dive into a new change is one thing (and hard on it’s own), but it’s harder when you have others who have to wrap their heads around that change too. My kids are small and my parents are perfectly healthy but 80yo, so I’ve learned that I have to take seriously small baby steps towards the life I’m trying to build. 😅
Life-long Texan tip: you will always need a jacket, because when it's not cold outside, it's cold inside! I just keep one in the back of my car, just in case. Can't wait to read your mystery book, though!

Love seeing writing updates specially as my toddler's start of school has been a lot more bumpy than I had anticipated so writing has been stopped on my end but yes, the hardest part is to accept that change happens slowly not instantly for kids and even more so for us as adults
Yet again, you're inspiring me. I used to set aside Friday as my writing day, and I think it's time I get back into that routine. Also, I'm thinking about working on the prequel episodes of my serial. There are some things I still need to nail down in that part of the story. Do you have suggestions on where I can find setting worksheets online? I can find a plenty of character and plot. My genre is crime fiction. Thanks. 🙂
I'm sorry, I don't know of any worksheets but there is a book in the write great fiction series specifically on setting if you haven't checked that out!

It makes my day❤️ Its so good this new take on the writing "to do whats feel good" I have problem to start do I have so manny storys in my head...🙈 But, when I wrote a smal story to a girl, THEN it was done verry fast! So now I know that I have to think that I Iam writing to someone special...And find a good translation app. Because Google translator is not always correct.
