If they made a rougelite mode where you could selected a bounty and go off and hunt them down but everytime you die you come back as a different hunter. Probably be a pretty fun way to extent the life of the game a bit past the story
Couple of questions about the movement: With the grapple, does it work like in Titanfall 2 where you can use it to swing around the map, or is it just like an extended dash where you just go in a straight line to where you point? And can you wall run on any surface, or is it restricted to a 'special type' of surface?
Im glad to finally hear a positive review. Its a really good game for 40k fans. Its an acceptable, but not quite as good as Doom, experience for non 40k fans. Inventory management is the one gripe I have.
I like the way the character holds their weapons when not in action. More (FPS) games should follow that route. I hate it when a game character is always pointing their weapon straight forward. Doesn't seem legit...🤘💯
I have this game on Series S and its currently dealing with severe fps issues at launch. I hear its better on Series X but still not the best. Just warning Xbox guys in case your interested.
Thanks for the warning man I’ll just get it on my gaming laptop and deal with lowish FPS. I can deal with issues on pc games but for some reason they really bother me on console.
After being burnt out by many 80+ hours long games, I'll gladly get a short and sweet shooter. Plus, I've always been a 40k fan from the tabletop to the games.
@@Enzo-gw7zf I gotta agree, games make themselves too large now, it's why i enjoy more linear and focused games now too, simply doesn't waste as much time. Not to mention most of the content is boring repetitive side quests in those 80 hour plus games.
Vermintide is super fun with friends, so I don't think the Warhammer title is a bad thing for games. I'm pretty sure the strategy games are also really good based on what my friends tell me.
The best representation of warhammer fantasies or 40k will always be in strategies game, you really need to have the sensation of hugeness to really understand warhammer, that why dawn of War 1 was incredible and in the recent year total war taking the warhammer license was amazing.
Very interesting, thanks for this🙂🙂 So Hired Gun is $47.99 cdn on Steam for me, love atmospheric, intense fps games with lots of blood, guns and challenge. Worth full price? Or wait for sale? How long is this? 15-20 hrs? I like a meaty campaign.
Well, think positive. When you finally play it, it would be probably at its last version, all bugs fixed, all posible DLCS released, probably on sale (or free, who knows), and tons of guides and walkrhough videos for when you get stuck somewhere.
Yeah it's good so far. Keep warhammer under the radar. Getting mainstream attention would ruin anything 40k. Let the lemmings have their lootboxes and mmos
with all these fps that have "universes" such as warhammer, halo, battlefield etc, I realized how the standard for what makes a good fps is so much raised, because now people expect at least a decent story line whereas back then, story is the last thing fps should worry about example: original doom, counter strike, wolfenstein..but look how they've all grown lol. I'm sure in the future there's a new genre of fps.
What I want to know is: how much do you feel like a bounty hunter? From the promotional material, it gave me the same vibes as that concept trailer for Prey 2 from years back - giving you freedom to pick and hunt targets. Does it feel authentic, or is that really just the wrapping around a linear shooter?
Is lineal. You can exlore the maps much as you want (they are HUGE), all the times you want since the missions of the campaign are repetable. The RPG elements are not much complex, limited to weapon customization and upgrade some skills and stats of the character (and the mastif too). It looks like the Prey you mention it, but just because stetically and the background sugest that, but theres no bounty hunting mechanic, just repeteable missions with diferent objetives. At the end, you could feel the game is a mashup of gameplay mechanics youve seen in other fps, but is actually pretty fun.
this video feels extra… “falcon-ish” and i love it. you can tell he cares and it was really fun hearing him talk about the things he liked about the game. great vid
Was super pumped for this game... at this time it is unplayable on Xbox and I’m playing on a Series X... frame stutter is constant and maddening and dizzying... no ability to adjust video options to try and fix it either. Don’t understand why I bother with pre-ordering when everything drops as a mess with a promised patch that will “fix everything” Aim Assist is basically an auto bot, wall running targeting is trash, had my gun disappear multiple times, melee animations break all the time, and the cutscenes and intro bugged out multiple times. I’m gonna wait for the patch to end all patches, but if you haven’t picked this up and you’re option to play is Xbox, I’d recommend skipping this 100%
When considering all the negatives remember that games like anthem have come out and asked you to pay $60 for it, Apparently it’s on sale on Xbox atm. a 7-8 hour campaign, character and gun customization for $35 is solid, the only downside I’m getting is the lack of co-op.
8:45 "It's a world where everything looks like a heavy metal album cover" I'm not sure if you did this on purpose, either the biggest coincidence or really clever on your part, but Koloss is an album by Meshuggah. Who are just as heavy as they are successful, which is hugely.
So does anyone remember the Terminator game Resistance for Xbox one and PS4 or even Immortals Fenyx Rising?? They both were GOOD solid “Secondary”- “Third party” games. That’s what this looks like. You get the Game it’s not acting like it’s going to change the world and you enjoy what’s here all the while supporting it’s dev’s. Just seen this on the store in Scotland for £15 and looked intriguing. This review has made my mind up. Its worth that all day long. Cheers
Feels like Hard Reset and that game turned out to be really great than expected.
Fun gameplay? Check.
Cool guns and level design? Check.
Decent story? Check.
Good music? Check.
$40, not $60? Check.
Yeah I'll support the game and pick it up when it comes out, I'm sure I'll have a fun time with it
A $20 difference is not much of a difference at all lol
@@itrollallot9780 its 33%. Definitely a big difference.
If they made a rougelite mode where you could selected a bounty and go off and hunt them down but everytime you die you come back as a different hunter. Probably be a pretty fun way to extent the life of the game a bit past the story
A 40k roguelite could be really fun. Lots of existing weapons / mods / upgrades already that could be used.
An open world, Destiny like game but in Necromunda would be awesome.
@@themainman2827 and you can bid on bounties and whoever gets the guy first and turns in the bounty gets the cash, similar to hunt showdown
Couple of questions about the movement:
With the grapple, does it work like in Titanfall 2 where you can use it to swing around the map, or is it just like an extended dash where you just go in a straight line to where you point?
And can you wall run on any surface, or is it restricted to a 'special type' of surface?
It is so weird to hear Falcon say "Hey we're back with another..."
No it's not lol Falcon does it sometimes
Im glad to finally hear a positive review. Its a really good game for 40k fans. Its an acceptable, but not quite as good as Doom, experience for non 40k fans. Inventory management is the one gripe I have.
eye devine cybermancy is just a bad translation and a stiched together custom rpg set in the Warhammer universes
It's not in the 40k universe
Gives me hope for a good first person Space Marine experience
"I'm Falcon"
Not with that voice you ain't.
I like the way the character holds their weapons when not in action. More (FPS) games should follow that route. I hate it when a game character is always pointing their weapon straight forward. Doesn't seem legit...🤘💯
Hopefully the next game will refine it and really show off the developers talents even more so.
Well this game only got 2.9 stars so they probably wont
I have this game on Series S and its currently dealing with severe fps issues at launch. I hear its better on Series X but still not the best. Just warning Xbox guys in case your interested.
Thanks for the warning man I’ll just get it on my gaming laptop and deal with lowish FPS. I can deal with issues on pc games but for some reason they really bother me on console.
It's running 60fps on the ps5
@@wrydstepbr0_0 I highly doubt that 😏
@@IronClawGaming I'm literally looking at the in game fps counter it has dude. Dont be a salty xbox boy
Just use a 'Bolt Thrower' soundtrack already... why are people always beating around the bush?
Fuck I love bolt thrower.
I see you're a man of culture.
I loved the wall running in Titan Fall 2. :D When I played this earlier it felt like Doom and Titan Fall 2 had a kid.
After being burnt out by many 80+ hours long games, I'll gladly get a short and sweet shooter. Plus, I've always been a 40k fan from the tabletop to the games.
Yup. Games are too long now. I'm not 15 anymore I can't dedicate over 100 plus hrs lol
@@Enzo-gw7zf I gotta agree, games make themselves too large now, it's why i enjoy more linear and focused games now too, simply doesn't waste as much time. Not to mention most of the content is boring repetitive side quests in those 80 hour plus games.
Thanks for the review. I will probably pick this up. Especially, since GoG has it on sale.
You had me at "Abomination dog."
Not the worst but it could definitely be better, here’s hoping they do a sequel so they can improve upon it
Vermintide is super fun with friends, so I don't think the Warhammer title is a bad thing for games. I'm pretty sure the strategy games are also really good based on what my friends tell me.
If you liked Vermintide.. the game to look forward to is Darktide.
Everything I keep seeing from this game still just has me on pause
The best representation of warhammer fantasies or 40k will always be in strategies game, you really need to have the sensation of hugeness to really understand warhammer, that why dawn of War 1 was incredible and in the recent year total war taking the warhammer license was amazing.
Send in one space marine then every skaven is wiped out
Should I buy?
The decision I'm facing too 😂
It’s 7 bucks right now ps
I love when falcon does i before you buy
Still waiting for a game to fill the hole in my heart left by Prey 2 never releasing.
this looks like borderlands and doom had a love child.
Get that trash BL comparison outta here - this being part looter shooter couldn't be further from the truth.
Are there treasure boxes yes but it's not exactly loot heavy
In 40k they would've ended up with a creepy servitor cherub baby or something.
Na, the loot system is not so dynamic.
Is there a physical release for Necromunda: Hired Gun or is it digital only? Also is there mouse and keyboard support for Series X?
Very interesting, thanks for this🙂🙂
So Hired Gun is $47.99 cdn on Steam for me, love atmospheric, intense fps games with lots of blood, guns and challenge.
Worth full price? Or wait for sale?
How long is this? 15-20 hrs? I like a meaty campaign.
Well falcon finish the campaign in 8h
@@shadowrune2493 hmmm not sure if 8hrs is worth $47.99. I'll read more reviews. Wish hired gun was on PC gamepass.
It's 15% off for 10 days
Wall run and grapple -> sound like titanfall
Dash run and fast paced combat with explosion every where -> sound like doom
Could be fun ^^'
Ah another game that with my time i will play in 2030. I am currently on 2013 released games
Well, think positive. When you finally play it, it would be probably at its last version, all bugs fixed, all posible DLCS released, probably on sale (or free, who knows), and tons of guides and walkrhough videos for when you get stuck somewhere.
@@themainman2827 thats the advantage yes. I buy games that are so old now that are almost free
Imo a $60/$70 experience for $40. Preordered this game and I'm absolutely loving it
Yeah it's good so far. Keep warhammer under the radar. Getting mainstream attention would ruin anything 40k. Let the lemmings have their lootboxes and mmos
necroMUNda. MUN. not necroMOONda! ahh shit, im "that guy"
Thanks :) we were all thinking it.
Theres a lot of "that guys" in the comments, so dont feel bad... nor special.
with all these fps that have "universes" such as warhammer, halo, battlefield etc, I realized how the standard for what makes a good fps is so much raised, because now people expect at least a decent story line whereas back then, story is the last thing fps should worry about example: original doom, counter strike, wolfenstein..but look how they've all grown lol. I'm sure in the future there's a new genre of fps.
This game needs to go easy with particle effects.
NA WE IN THE UNIVERSE OF CHADS YOU WILL OVE TO PARTICLE EFFECTS OR ELSE I WILL THROW YOU INTO A ARENA VS A SPACE MARINE
Prey 2 trailer...... sad time starts right now :(
this video feels extra… “falcon-ish” and i love it. you can tell he cares and it was really fun hearing him talk about the things he liked about the game. great vid
Was super pumped for this game... at this time it is unplayable on Xbox and I’m playing on a Series X... frame stutter is constant and maddening and dizzying... no ability to adjust video options to try and fix it either. Don’t understand why I bother with pre-ordering when everything drops as a mess with a promised patch that will “fix everything”
Aim Assist is basically an auto bot, wall running targeting is trash, had my gun disappear multiple times, melee animations break all the time, and the cutscenes and intro bugged out multiple times. I’m gonna wait for the patch to end all patches, but if you haven’t picked this up and you’re option to play is Xbox, I’d recommend skipping this 100%
The names are confusing I keep getting lost between this and Underhive Wars. Also it doesn't help I haven't played a Warhammer game for a long minute.
When considering all the negatives remember that games like anthem have come out and asked you to pay $60 for it, Apparently it’s on sale on Xbox atm. a 7-8 hour campaign, character and gun customization for $35 is solid, the only downside I’m getting is the lack of co-op.
For all the people who quit Doom bcuz they filled it with platforming instead of 3d gunfights.
ugh the platforming annoyed me
It wasnt even good platforming there good platforming bad platforming and then doom
8:45 "It's a world where everything looks like a heavy metal album cover"
I'm not sure if you did this on purpose, either the biggest coincidence or really clever on your part, but Koloss is an album by Meshuggah. Who are just as heavy as they are successful, which is hugely.
Falcon, my dude, please stop inventing new pronunciations for words that the game itself tells you how to say
He propably never played it. He just reads a script.
Game - "Welcome to Necromunda"
Falcon - "Necro-Moon-Duh"
Or Jake's MayReeOh? it's MAR EE OH it always pisses me off lol
All of the gaming channel TH-camrs (with channels like this) need to stop this.
I think we pretty much all know at this point that falcon doesn't really play games, though jake and andrew do
So does anyone remember the Terminator game Resistance for Xbox one and PS4 or even Immortals Fenyx Rising?? They both were GOOD solid “Secondary”- “Third party” games. That’s what this looks like. You get the Game it’s not acting like it’s going to change the world and you enjoy what’s here all the while supporting it’s dev’s. Sometimes we just need a Good game and just because it’s Good don’t make it underwhelming. Kudos, I’m in. RIP Cyberpunk, you’ll get em some day. 🦾🦾🦾
That gun at 1:45 made me feel like I was going to have a seizure
Thanks...been following this one and like you not expecting much. It’s $47ish cdn on steam with a regular price of $55 and given most AAA run $79.99 up here it’s cheaper than usual.
1st time watching this series before I actually buy the game, instead of after
Same lol
Gamers are too easy to satisfy these days. These comments are so cringe.
Too easy?
Sounds really interesting
Is this game worth getting just asking
Yea, it's like doom but set in WH40K
is there a usable lasgun?
humans must blow up real nice when shot with one of those
You mean flashlight? 🤔
Yes.
@@alanhoff89 its only a flashlight when you shoot orks or really big tyranids
Im looking forward to darktide because i wanna use lasguns 😂
I know there's a longlas.
Thanks guys for actually playing the game and giving an honest and real review
Necro MOON dah eh?
Yeah this bugged me lol
Yeah Falcon obviously didn’t research the pronunciation...
Funnily enough its the thing he's known for. Mispronunciation.
So basically it’s Necromundoom. I’m 100% all in for that.
Or NecroMOONdoom apparently
"Necromunda: Hired Gun - After You Buy" title. is. fixed.
Damn, the new Bionic Commando got dark!
man that new game was disappointing (bionic commando)
