    All of these cases are heart-wrenching but the fact that her bf heard her scream his name as she's driven to her eventual death, never to be seen again is almost too much for the heart to handle. She must have been so scared yet hopeful when she passed him, just to have her hope crushed when he never caught up. It's unimaginable.

    This case really freaks me out. She knew, the poor girl could sense what was about to happen, and couldn’t stop it. That is really scary. And the boyfriend…I can’t even begin to imagine how he felt when his car gave up on him! How different things could have been

      Yeah you know that regret haunts him every day thinking of what could've been if he had just gotten there a couple minutes earlier, if his transmission hadn't crapped out on him, if that lady would've helped him chase the truck down, etc. Some horrible guilt to live with even if none of it's his fault

      I hate that the woman refused to chase the truck. I hope that woman lived a MISERABLE life as her karma. What a nasty person, had the opportunity to save a young woman's life and she refused. 🤬🤬🤬

      Sounds like the kind of fvcked up sh!t this useless material reality would play on me. Ughhh.
      I'd literally hate cars for the rest of my life. I can't imagine what Rob went through... I'd rather be the one kidnapped and dead than knowing that THIS KIND of TRIVIAL SH!T stopped me from saving someone I love.

      I lost the love of my life about a year ago. I was destroyed and I know what happened. I can't even imagine the pain of losing her and not knowing what happened.
      I imagine that's a pain one carries for a lifetime.

    What an absolute nightmare for poor Angela. 💔 My heart goes out to Rob, too, as he was publicly convicted for a while there. I hate this case, but love That Chapter.

    This story really jacks up everyone’s anxiety and horror. It plays on the fear of being the victim of a violent crime and the fear of not being able to protect the ones we love. What a nightmare.

    I feel really bad for everyone but especially her fiance. I can imagine him agonizing forever about not catching up to the truck and not getting there in time. I hope he got therapy and is doing alright today. 💜

    it's been well over 50 years since 3 girls were taken from Seminary Sourh shopping center in Fort Worth, Texas. i was close to the same age, visiting my grandmother near there. i check on the case periodically, no new information. i can't do anything but remember, so i remember them, always will.

    This case has always been so crazy and sad to me. I feel horrible for the boyfriend too. Having this happen, seeing her drive by, having the car break down, and then being blamed, is like something out of a horror movie.

      I mean he is partly to blame. She told him what was going on and instead of being a protector and telling her to leave. He tried to calm her down and low and behold…she was right and got kidnapped. He should definitely feel bad.

    Wow, little is said about Diana Braungardt. I lived around there back then and we shopped at the store she went missing from regularly, it was called Venture. The search for her was basically every small town citizen surrounding Crystal City. Her disappearance was felt very deeply and there was SO little info.

    This is terribly devastating for Rob how horrible to hear the crime and be so close to rescuing her then falling short. My heart breaks for him and for poor Angie.

    Knowing she's exactly the same age as me, and yet I'm sitting here 32 years on watching a story of her still being missing is a sobering thought. Prayers that she'll be returned home to her family at some point and whoever took her & her baby face justice

      @@lovingmayberry307 I think it's important to remember that people aren't robots. They can get burnt out from doing the same thing over and over. They can have family emergencies. Lots of TH-camrs have talked about how much pressure there is to put out content or be punished by the algorithm. Sometimes people just need a break.

    This is such a heartbreaking story, also because it comes with no resolution. I cannot imagine how it must have been like for her partner, being so close to chasing down the van that you know contains your pregnant fiancé and than having your car break down, as you see those carlights fade... it sounds like the most terrible scenario from a horror movie. To have to live with that knowledge that you were so close and not knowing what happened to her. It is beyond sad. :'(

    Heart breaking and terrifying. I wonder just how many young girls and women have been abducted over the past 50 years. A shocking amount I guess. Thank you for remembering Angela and the other women in this video. It's terrible that we all know the majority of serial killers names, yet the victims are just forgotten as if they never existed.

    I can’t imagine how scared Angela was , wanting to protect herself and unborn baby. Then Rob , getting so close to catching up then for his transmission to go out. Only then to be blamed for it !!! This case is so horrifying and frustrating!!!! I hope answers are found eventually. I can’t imagine not knowing……. My love to the family and loved ones of Angela.

    That’s absolutely heartbreaking, how does a pregnant woman just get taken and disappear like that. Poor Angela and her unborn baby and I can’t imagine how that effected Rob mentally, he went from top of the world to crashing to the bottom, no answers, no closure. Absolute nightmare, sickening to think whoever did this is walking around suffering no repercussions. So cruel. 💔

    I will never forget this heartbreaking story. I remember watching it with my young daughter on Unsolved Mysteries in the 90s. The original Unsolved Mysteries. This is one of those stories that stuck with us and is haunting to us to this very day. Great coverage and as always, thank you for being you.

    Every time I hear this case, I have the same thoughts: Why didn't she get back in her vehicle when she noticed the truck? Why didn't she tell Rob to call the police and get back in her vehicle? Why did she make the choice to stay out in the open at a phone booth with a suspicious person near her? So many questions. I can ask all my questions but I also have to ask what would I have done at that time, in the same situation? Fear, I'm sure, played a huge part in how she responded and the lack of.

She could have thought she was overthinking the situation….No need to say why she didn’t do this or that no one knows what they would do in such situations it’s easier said than done….

    Omgosh what a horrible story. I remember hearing it before but not the part about the letter. I actually said out loud oh no when Mike said it could have been a case of mistaken identity of Angela getting abducted. I can’t imagine the horror the family and friends are still going through. It probably doesn’t help but I offer them my prayers as I am sure many on hearing this story are. ❤

    I remember hearing about her story when that happened in 1991 , I was just about to graduate college, she was close to my age . it has always stuck with me . I can’t even imagine her poor boyfriend, he probably hears her screams in his dreams to this day. Praying her friends & family get closure some day 🙏

    I could not imagine what the fiancé felt when he could feel his car dying when he was chasing them. They truly horrific feeling and I really hope they saw her case.

      Sadly, he got a few details wrong. I wish he’d tighten up his research. It’s slipping lately and these aren’t just stories, they’re real life tragedies. Angie’s story is too well documented to have goofed such basic details.

    Omg. I remember seeing a reenactment of this when I was a kid. The transmission being ruined by throwing it into reverse has always stuck with me.

    The agony of not knowing what happened to your soon to be wife and your child must have been overwhelming. My heart goes out to Rob, Angela's family, and her friends. Also to Angela who more than likely is gone. May she rest in peace.
    As a side note, I just started listening to your Podcasts. Was midway the first when my internet went down!! The tale was familiar tho... the man who sought revenge for being dismissed as a medical intern. Don't know if you did a vid years ago about it or someone else did. Engaging anyway!

    This case is so infuriating and heartbreaking. Her fiancé was so close to saving her but then something happens beyond his control stopping him from being able to get to her. I feel just so horribly for him and what he must have mentaly gone through. He lost his wife to be, lost his unborn baby, and had to actually see their abductor driving away with them while hes stuck there, unable to save them. God, i just cant even imagine.

    This is local to me. My mom babysat Rob when he was a baby. They lived next door to us. I truly hope this case is solved to give the family peace.

    Hey mike I grew up in Missouri in a place called Fredericktown it’s about 60 miles south of crystal city and in the summer of 89 my neighbors 13 yr old daughter was kidnapped ( Gina Dawn brooks ) and to this day they have never found her. 😮maybe you could do a story on her,maybe on the whole town. People still go missing there and lots of suspicious deaths for such a small town.thanks have a great day 😊

    I had relatives in Clinton, Missouri, that we would go out there for a few weeks in the summer and it is a pretty little town. My family was more in the country. But when this happened, it was such a shock to people. I hope someday they find out who did this.

    I don't get why 1. the boyfriend wouldn't tell her on the phone to get in her car and leave right away if she though this guy was watching her, and 2. why didn't she immediately take off as SOON as this guy pulled into the parking lot.
