I love Aurora. I have 4 Indian grocery stores in every direction, a middle eastern grocery store, my gyms, grocery stores. Love my neighborhood and neighbors.
Moved to Colorado in 1994. Never lived in Aurora, but it seemed to always have a bad reputation, just as Commerce City did/does. Seems like once that reputation is made it’s hard to get rid of it. I just know that as a whole, there is no other state I would rather live.
I live in aurora. In the last month I have had a coworker of mine had his car smashed in a parking lot by an illegal alien with no insurance, a house mate ran over on his scooter and broke his leg by an illegal with no insurance, I have had my house broken into twice and robbed by, yes you guessed it, an illegal alien both times. It's getting out of hand.
It's like even the bus incident in Ohio like it's inevitable that illegal immigrants without a license will eventually crash at some point and they have no insurance so the other person have to pay out of pocket.
The property management company released a statement on the entire situation. Their employee was attacked at the complex and visited the hospital. They confirmed the apartment complex was hijacked by the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. They said the FBI informed them of who these people are. In one instance, a tenant went to vacation and came back to a group of people living in their apartment. They are extorting rent from tenants to the point all of them have fled. They asked the police for help several times, but they did nothing to stop it. They also said this is happening at multiple properties nationwide.
Well I toured the property 2 months before all this and none of that was there it was just a crappy building with code violations. I have video of the entire property since I was considering moving there for about a day
@@NoFairiesAllowed Yes, because an apartment tour gives you a better idea of what's going on than people who live there 24/7... what an out of touch comment

i was born and raised in colorado, and i still live here. i have moved around in my 20s to other states like texas, once in my teens i lived in florida for 1.5 years, even arizona for a short stint. colorado has no real true ghetto, not like places like houston. we have ghetto people, we have poor people, and we have very minor ghettos. i will say some of the cheaper/poorer areas have gotten worse lately, but those places are shrinking into gentrification also. Growing up in denver we were always told to stay away from Montbello, though i never found Montbello to be as bad as like a 3rd or 5th ward houston that i lived in, not even remotely close. i live in aurora now, southlands area and the houses over here are beautiful. my neighborhood backs up a nature preserve, and i have pronghorn deer outside my window. the southeast side of aurora is more beautiful than most places in colorado. the spots around the spaceforce base is super nice, you are nuts. my house is 600k. look at conservatory neighborhood, sterling hills, and places like that, quincy highlands. its all nice.
Dude drop the bias. The area where the migrants are on East Colfax is just as ghetto as any place in the country outside of the southeastern states. I don’t even get the point of your post? Just because it’s not as bad as Houston and you live by Southlands because your rich means every one else needs to overlook the migrant problems? FOH. Do better.
Even though I am a republican, I always hate when either party uses these types of situations and twist them for their own political gain. Thank you for providing some much needed clarity in the sea of media bias and misinformation.
Great summary of the city we have called home since 2021. We lived in Douglas County the first 10 year of our time in Colorado, but we couldn't take the political posturing that became extreme in 2020. We have kids who are POC, so the aurora community is a great fit. Spouse works at the medical complex area, so it makes for an easy commute. Cherry Creek schools are amazing. Aurora gets a bad rap and there are issues, but we have been pleasantly surprised. Thanks for taking the time for such a thoughtful review.
I want a story on that building that mysteriously burned down halfway through construction on East colfax. No way that’s not fraud right? Almost seems like someone realized they were about to make a bad financial decision and had it corrected before it was too late.
I have lived in Aurora for combined total for about 20 years. I don't live there now but that's not because it was bad, I moved because of family change and moved closer to my job. Aurora is not a bad place to live and I still have family that still lives there. I have never felt like I was in harms way. When this whole Trump accusations took place, I was like what. I visit there all the time. Yes, there are gangs and bad places to live there but for the most part it is just fine. There are bad places and things happen in all cities all the time. To point out just Aurora is just haphazard and down right irresponsible. This place is very multi cultural and a great place to live.
such a biased video, the gangs have not overtaking the town that is a bit over the top. The inherit issue is we have illegal gangs in the town, please prove me wrong. And please don't say well other cities are worse, honestly I do not care as I got a speeding ticket the other say for going 61 in a 50 mph zone and I was given a ticket, I agree. Why cant we agree is you come here illegally you be sent home. Politicians are screwing this up or media i don't care I just care about Aurora.
Yes, this administration is a joke, Trump would never let all those criminals from my country get in that easily, its not just Aurora, a 12 year old got killed in Texas by that same gang, this administration is letting everyone get in without checking criminal backgrounds even people without passports, how the fuck do you come into the states without even a passport??? I spent 3 years getting all my paperwork done to come here legally and they asked for criminal récords, for what? If now we have all those ex convs from my country fucking around
two more members of Tren de Aragua were arrested today in Aurora. Polis is in denial too busy pushing his lgbt agenda and not actually acting on American values. get that clown out.

IS 2610 Fairplay Way, Aurora in a good neighborhood?
If u split aurora in half, north and south, would the north side’s crime rate per capita be higher than Denver’s?
What's going on is some pretty good home prices for those not shopping in the $600k+ range.
An accurate assessment. Thanks for making this effort.
