    This is the best video I've seen yet. Regular speed and showing the streetcar going forward. Hope I see more like this.

    Would be nice to see the Toronto transit commission put out a cab view round trip video of the street car trip to post on you tube for people who can't travel far it looks like a beautiful ride ...

      I'm glad they did not sell out to G.M. and sell them busses for that area.. I think it's the only city in Canada that has the street car still..

    I can't believe they still allow cars to turn left in front of trams anywhere on this route.

    • @TrainsToronto
      @TrainsToronto 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well they do, but not when trams have a green signal.

      It's a travesty. The King streetcar has now banned this practice to great success. Hopefully it replicates across the city's large network.

      We don't call them trams here in Toronto. They're called streetcars here. But yeah, on King St ( 504 route ), between Bathurst and Jarvis Sts, this is already banned. On this route ( 501 ), they still can.

    I really don’t like how they put concrete on the tracks now. It looked better like in this video

      @@noodle7515 I was only joking. The old TTC street cars probably went no more than 40 km/hr, however the new ones are significantly more reliable and faster. They definitely hit the speed limit, travelling at 60km/hr, possibly even more depending if the driver obeys traffic laws.

      bruh this is 501, it's the longest and least involved in the urban centre of Toronto. if you're talking about the stock, this was taken in 2017 and at this time the TTC was in the midst of upgrading all their streetcar stock and eventually retiring the old stock. If you're looking for good, "rich" transit, look at the 512 or any of the TTC lines. it's kinda funny how people are getting upset over your comment though lol
