Way back in the 90s I had fibroid as big as a melon and heavy menstrual flow for weeks. I was told that I needed a hysterectomy. I decided to try changing my diet first to see if that works. I stopped taking dairy and red meat. I love milk and used to drinks lots of it. Within a few weeks my bleeding stopped. A year later at my annual checkup, I was told my fibroids shrank. I was over the moon. Now I keep a food diary if I need to identify the source of my problems. LET FOOD BE THY MEDICINE!!!!

Fibroids also tend to come on when women are going through very stressful times, such as dealing with passing off loved ones and holding onto the emotional pain from the losses. Doing positive affirmations can help tremendously with this, as well and figure out ways to healing the mind from past painful traumas.

I am 55 and an ultrasound showed fibroids.
I have had symptoms for 10 years and never did a doctor say it could be fibroids.
I only had the ultrasound because I insisted something was pushing on my rectum. (I could feel it with my finger).
I see the doctor next week, but have already started intermittent fasting recently and prayer for a long while.
I am sure it is emotionally related at 2013 was a very hard year for me and that is when the symptoms started.
I put it down to menopause and a bad marriage.
    God is now in charge.
I prayed the last few weeks for guidance 🙏 as what to do.

I had fibroids, the size of a small football. I looked pregnant and bled so much that my haemoglobin wouldn’t exceed 4/5. I had hysterectomy done in 2016 and there were no problems until now, I have high blood sugar, diabetes and other hormonal imbalances. If I knew back then that I could shrink my fibroids naturally, I’d never had gotten hysterectomy. But I only blame myself because I was on high carb and sugar diet since childhood and this is exactly what caused fibroids. I try to create awareness in my school amongst my students and my own kids also. God bless all!

    • @thinkofsomethingcooler
      @thinkofsomethingcooler 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Don’t blame yourself
      1. After a hysterectomy you crave carbs and sugar and even before bc you are so depleted of energy from the bleeding it is energy your body can quickly metabolize
      2. Many ppl with fibroids have trouble metabolizing high fat high protein diet until the hormones are addressed that led to the fibroids
      3. Most fibroid patients get them due to medications like artificial hormones designed to help shrink them; antibiotics which damage the liver, gut and thyroid (look up tetracycline and black thyroid); anything that spikes cortisol or messes with the GABA bridge or gut brain axis; anything that throws off Histamine receptors. A lot of very common OTC and Rx medications!!!
The sugar and carbs just feeds them but they don’t cause them
Good that you’ve reduced that but the other things I listed are much more dangerous culprits

Before I had heavy periods and the pain was unbearable but now I have a normal flow. So it is indeed true that fasting helps, I was going to have my uterus removed last year and l cancelled the operation so l am really grateful to God for this miracle. I was deficient on Vitamin D, my symptoms were more related to fatigue. My period was normal and consistent as it has been my whole life. I started vitamin D 5000UI a day and since my first cycle after the supplement my period started to become heavier every cycle. By the third cycle after supplementation my period was lasting over 2 weeks. Doctors wanted to put me on birth control instantly with no tests whatsoever. I insisted for tests, all blood tests were normal. They found small fibroids and said that is most likely the reason and wanted to put me on hormones. I then asked to retest my vitamin D to see if it was back to normal and it was. So, I decided to stop the vitamin D and be consistent about taking sun every day. On the first cycle my period is already back to normal. I read the research and we know the benefits of Vitamin D on women with deficiency, we also know it has a direct effect on menstruation and different stages of ovulation BUT we do not know yet the right dosage related to menstrual cycles or what can happen if one were to take too much related again to the period specifically. For me, it was too much for my body and my period got heavy and long. It was frustrating to talk to doctors and everyone blamed my age (34) or that I need to be on birth control and I would tell them it all started when I started the supplement a few months before and I was totally shut down. I think they meant well, I just think is not something anyone knows for sure. If any other women out there has had a similar experience I hope you read this.

@@aniselmbMy sister, who works in the medical field was just telling me this- how too much vitamin d is just as dangerous as low vitamin d. I just started taking it bc a defficiency can be the main cause of fibroids. Plus, I was diagnosed with low vitamin d years ago but never did. Even with being out in the sun, I didn't realize that it isn't enough bc of the melanin in my skin. I'm believing that this will work for me.

      You are welcome!
These are some main recommended points:
A person with a fibroid may want to avoid foods that cause growth and anything that increases estrogen, such as cheese, soy, and flax. Insulin is also a powerful growth hormone, so it’s important to go on a low-carb, low-sugar diet.
However, there are foods that have various phytonutrients and may actually help decrease inflammation, fibrosis, and angiogenesis (the formation of new blood supply to a fibroid).
      The best foods for fibroids:
      1. Berries (ellagic acid)
      2. Garlic (allicin)
      3. Cauliflower (indole-3-carbinol)
      4. Tomato (lycopene)
      5. Onion (quercetin)
      6. Broccoli sprouts (sulforaphane)
      7. Peppermint (ursolic acid)
      8. Shallots (isoliquiritigenin)
      9. Peanuts (resveratrol)
Intermittent fasting may also be a few of the most important things you can do to potentially shrink fibroids. Overall, combining Healthy Keto & Intermittent Fasting along with some of the foods above may be a great plan.

Try taking a break. Do nothing sometimes for an empty mind.
Spend more time in nature and breath deeply to increase oxygen in your body. That helps with healing anything.
Diet as he explained. Excercise, maybe relaxing kind of excercises rather than muscle building. Like Yoga/pilates. Also try to reduce chemical skin and hair care. Try to avoid chemicals generally. That should become your new lifestyle and it should go away quickly.

This is good to know. About 5 years ago I had a Myomectomy as I had so many fibroids. One was as big as a grapefruit. The fibroids were causing back pain and adding to my anemia due to heavy periods. They couldn't get all of the fibroids out as there were some that were too small. I changed my diet after the surgery to ensure that they wouldn't grow any larger and it has seemed to work.

So many women, myself included, suffer from the many terrible effects of estrogen dominance. Fibroids are just one lousy symptom. I've had 3 laproscopies and 2 D&Cs to remove fibroids and surgically cut away the endometriosis that came along with it. Since the beginning, my periods were always heavy, painful, and awful and nobody ever talked about that being abnormal, so it never got addressed until I had real problems needing surgery. Please, ladies, talk to your doctor if your periods are difficult. You might save your fertility doing so.

I let weight/sugar/etc. get out of control for a few years...ended up with about 30 lbs. of excess fat (205 lbs., 5' 11", 55 yrs. old)...followed Keto pretty well, not 5% carbs every day, but most days less than 10%, and most carbs from vegetables, rarely a 7.5 oz. coke or a yogurt with some added sugar (in my defense, not the worst offending brand Icelandic pretty high protein). Lost 1-2 lbs. a week consistently, rarely felt serious hunger / craving despite a 500 calorie deficit per day, and am down to about 175 after 5 months. On fibroids...don't know how fibroid type stuff on the skin compares to uterus and I am male...but I did notice a couple of clear improvements: so-called liver spots on hands had darkened over the past 10 years...5 months on keto and they are nearly invisible now on outside of left hand and diminished considerably on right...and I did have two or three minor skin growths which I'd say were fibroid (without proof, but I did once have a tiny fibroid growth on my nose lasered away) and they went away. I was surprised how well the weight came off without hunger, not surprised by how much more energy I feel at 175 vs. 205, and the apparent skin improvement was a surprising bonus as well as an indicator that the body is sensitive to healthy eating. Lethargy at 205 was a bummer, but what really kicked me into action was a sudden onset of having to pee in the middle of the night as well as thirst for orange juice at any time of day or night...went away within a month of healthy eating. Anyway, thanks Dr. Berg for very informative videos...don't know how correlated a uterine cyst might be to skin growth, but I suspect they are similar phenomena, so I thought I'd put in a word about skin improvements I noticed.

I was just thinking about this, yesterday! Thank you! My issue is I have two very small fibroids, but I'm in menopause, about 18mos. I'm trying to understand balancing the need to keep my fibroids from growing, to balancing my estrogen, and getting rid of the bad estrogen, etc. This is a great start. If you feel led to expand on this topic, more, It'd be most helpful.

Flax seeds are part of a food group called “selective estrogen receptor modulators.” This means they impact the effect estrogen has on different parts of the body. Flax seeds inhibit estrogen sensitivity in the uterus, which is beneficial when you have fibroids. What's up with all of the contradicting information

    Do fibroids really shrink ?
I have a 6 cms intramural fibroid ?will eating these foods help in shrinking?

    • @controlyourtemperjeez8220
      @controlyourtemperjeez8220 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes, and you’ll know it’s shrinking because it will hurt 😢 I started drinking green tea everyday and megadose Vitamin D, cruciferous vegetables, and Kombucha and I had the worst pain and cramps, thought something was wrong so I went back to the doctor and after almost a year, a 7cm fibroid turned into 3cm. Lemon Balm tea helped with the stress from the pain and Advil was my go to if needed.

Hello Dr Berg! First, thank you! Your videos back up every bit of research I've ever done, and are in line with all of my findings over my journey to fixing myself. After 7 pregnancies and 6 kids.. and a thyroid storm incident.. I've been searching for years. I've learned so much more just in my time pouring over your information. I have a question I'm almost certain you haven't covered.. or possibly even heard before. That's me, unfortunately lol Anywho.. One of my problems is I suffer from paresthesia in my legs intermittently. I've tried all the typical "fixes" to no avail. I've definitely improved it over the course of my research, but still there. I've finally discovered the timing is with my cycle though. I'm surmising that at the times of my cycle where my estrogen is up, it's very bad. Then when I'm in the lower phases of my cycle, it's sometimes gone completely! But there are several peaks each month where it drives me insane. Many of my health issues come and go each month like clockwork. Please tell me you have an answer for me? 😭🙏

I had to have a total hysterectomy 16 months ago at age 54 mainly because of several extremely large fibroids. I have always eaten all those foods on that list on a regular basis. Mine never shrunk, my doctor has never mentioned food having anything to do with fibroids.

I asked my obgyn specifically if soy had possibly grown my fibroids and to the size that are. She said yes. I was vegetarian for 10 years. I began 2 years before finding it I had fibroids. I have them everywhere in the uterus over huge one and dermoids on ovaries.

Me too. Had a hysterectomy as well and saw several several specialist and obgyns and never once did foor get discussed. And I already eat what he’s saying anyway so clearly that doesn’t work. This doctor will say fasting is the answer for almost every single ailment.every video. Every problem. Fasting ! Fibroids ? Really ?

@@tanyaporter8455 well just like you dont have to believe in GOD for HIM TO BE REAL, you don’t have to believe in the power of fasting for it NOT to heal folk from various diseasez, disorderz, and sicknessez. Fasting healz the body PERIOD! Our body iz what was created perfectly in God’z Image! Guess when HE taught me that, on a 10 Day Water only fast. I am currently on a Water Only Fast eating only once a week this whole month. Our bodiez are designed to heal themselvez when left alone. Itz why naturally the first thingz animalz or humanz do when sick iz STOP EATING…… I fast more for spiritual reasonz but just like weightloss the healing iz a byproduct of fasting. When you don’t know you don’t know, Im blessed enough to walk and live by FAITH so Im never skeptical of thingz like most folk are.

I am Italian and ate wheat and dairy almost daily … eat all types of food but NEVER packaged food, restaurant food (95% use GMO toxic canola and soy oil, also called vegetable oil to make you feel good while you pay to get yourself sick), I grow my own food and buy what i don’t grow from local farmers.
Never had any health issues until I took the birth control pill at 20 years old. I had a perfect period for 7 years, no pain no problems. then at 20 the first OBGYN visit she pushed the pill (I had no health issues, no pain, regular period) I had so many side effects from the pill aftr 6-12 months ….. I stopped but the pill caused me endometriosis (too much estrogen from the pill) ….. No diagnosis for 18 years. extreme pain. ….. because of that it was hard to conceive so the OBGYN gave me 3 tiny pills a month for 2 months to push ovulation (which I had no issue with) That caused me immediately to have terrible eye bags and a small fibroid. So I fired all OBGYN and take care of this myself now.
In Italy there are terme who offer sulphur water vaginal irrigations. that will stop the growth of the fibroid. done it for 13 years and it is still the same size.
I did read a book: dry fasting …. by a Russian leader in fasting and he said that in his clinics 1 week of fasting gets rid of fibroids and herniated discs issues. I will do that next.
15 years with no doctors visits except 2 ultrasounds.
Obgyn and pediatricians exist only for 1 reason: drug you! The 2 issues I had they could fix nor they cared to figure out the cause of the problem.
i ended up curing endo myself by researching how to get rid of it. a neighbor gave me the solution
