Late to the Andromeda party but I was thrilled to find this video. I respeced my infiltrator to try out this build and I'm loving it. Truly inspired. Thanks!
exactly. a lot of people complain cause of how it looks rather than how it plays. the story is vast and detailed, a lot of leveling but fun to do and it's has plenty of side quests and planets to explore so idk what the problem is.
I would recommend Escape Artist if you're playing on insanity difficulty. It makes a world of difference to be able to cloak and then regen the damage you took. On lower difficulties this isn't necessary at all though.
Overload IS a Primer. It just does not last very long. Such as Overloading an anemy and then immediately following up with a detonator will cause a Tech combo which electrifies and area stunning enemies and causing damage over time.
Michael, thank you very much for helping my confirmation bias on the Black Widow as the best sniper in-game. Also, thanks for putting out such great content for such a long time!
As this is my third time playing through the game, I was wanting to try out some other armor than the Maverick. I find that it really does not matter as far as sniper damage or ammo. Evidently the Infiltrator profile takes care of damage and if you use a bio converter on the Black Widow, hey there is no ammo shortage. You also get four shots before it eats your health versus the only one with the Isharay, plus you can shoot three enemies and not break cloak if you are quick. So this time using Pathfinder Armor for a bit of variety and may even make a set of Helious armor and try that out while playing with a shotgun. I can say that this build makes the game super easy. You can wipe out entire bad guy camps and they do not even know you are there, add penetration mods to the Black Widow and you can shoot them when they hide behind most things. This is a very nice build if you want to just casually stroll through the game and investigate everything , look into every box and never fear death. Even if you get surprised a Piranha Shotgun with bio converter and plasma seeking augmentation just tears them up.....Lol!! I found that the Carniflex pistol with scope and penetration damage is amazing also and works almost like a sniper, it has unreal range and power. And it only weighs 8 pounds. Yep if you want to be invincible like Drack claims to be......Grin.......become an Infiltrator with a Black Widow, and a Piranha and just go for a stroll across the countryside. Except in the nation of Voeld......it never does warm up, and that Architect will glitch out and become invincible so always hard save before the fight just in case it does glitch and you have to reset the game. The architects glitch out on me about half the time, regardless of which one of the three it is. Oh I like PeeBee a lot. She raises enemies up in the air so you can conduct target practice. Lol! Cheers!!
That was an amazing, very detailed ideal man... Loved it... I have to try that built... I know the video was long but I wish I could see the actual build in action including the damage while cloaked and the power of the black widow... Great job!!! Keep the videos coming...
I like this build and I took a similar route. The only thing I would change is instead of taking barricade which is a skill you probably won't use, I take turbocharge. It gives you extra ammo in the clip, allows you to shoot faster, and do more damage all at the same time. I believe it fits this build extremely well.
Critics are stupid, never listen to them. ME:A is a solid 7 in my book. I just finished it with an adept/sentenel build. It was loads of fun. I was almost done when I finally figured out how to move powers around. I played using throw, pull and sigularity mostly. Loved the krogen hammer. Anything that hits armor is a must. It always gave me the most trouble. Great video. I really appreciate all the hard work you put into your work.
SleepingDrag0n tbh, if youve got a build like this, you will be engaging enemies who are stood still/unaware. also, if youre high up and cloaked you will see them whilst behind cover and theyll be still there too. Youll get better at it with time played too
I play on insanity. After your first shot they move like crazy, they jump, make lateral movements. So, I throw an incinerate or overload to stun them and shoot afterwards. Or I cover, cloak, and wait for them to shoot at a teammate and shoot them when they show their head. I recommend to attach penetration modes to your rifle, so you can shoot the bastards when they are behind covers.
I have a build similar to this that is a Sentinel instead on my insanity playthrough. Instead of Overload I put Lance in it's place. You can use the sniper to manually shoot the lance from long range, and the lance is great for detonations. Plus Lance can destroy shields with the shield killer perk in Lance and Containment. You can also put points into Barrier this way, and in doing so recharge your shields with the last skill every twelve seconds. Works like a charm. Essentially for Incinerate I would either go full bottom or the way these guys did it. For TC I would go for extra damage rather than duration, and extra movement speed to move away more often. Then Lance is just a no brainer: Damage, Shield, Shield. Free Lance charges that can destroy shields for part of your shields, and in barrier you can basically constantly keep your shields up all the time with the bottom tier shields perk and low health. Plus a lot of the armor you wear can be equipped with the awesome low health but boost to resistance perks.
Playing Insanity, I use a level VIII Maverick armor modified for increased durations and +20% damage at max health/shields and the Fusion Mod of Adrenaline with Infestation, Cloak, and Turbocharge. I Infest -> Turbo -> Cloak -> Headshot -> Cloak -> Headshot -> Cloak - Headshot -> ect. Reapplying Turbo and Infest as needed/desired to maximize damage. If you didn't know, Adrenaline refreshes all cooldowns when you get a kill. Carrying three sniper rifles. A Black Widow, an Isharay modified for maximum precision damage, and an Isharay with seeking plasma, plasma charge, and vintage heat sink for reliable heavy solid burst damage. Isharay for sheer lethality. Black Widow for roaming around and dealing with a lot of enemies. I can kill an Ascendant in one orb break.
i was a mix of soldier and infiltrator for my first playthrough. I used turbocharge, tactical cloak, and invasion. I have my trusty black widow rifle, the sidewinder, and a sandstorm AR. Remnant armor is trusty for the survivability with pathfinder scout helm.
The Sniper build is useful in the open world but more challenging in interiors. For buildings/interiors or cqc or for just plain alternative/alternate approach, try out the shotgun/smg infiltrator (tactical cloak, energy drain for added survivability, third option is a bonus: incinerate for anti armor or turbocharge if your using the piranha or scatter shot/ charger or equalizer or n7 hurricane)
*Umm, you can count :-)* 1) I really love FO4 2) I live on SSDI 3) I only play one game at a time 4) I like to get my *bang* for my *buck* 5) I am poor in case you didn't get it 6) I can usually only buy 1 or maybe 2-3 games per year max, this year I got lucky and was gifted a couple too, so got *Snipe Elite 4* and *Horizon Zero Dawn* .
Hint: Get a PC that's cheaper than any console but outdoes them and then use Steam sales and other online game stores to get cheap games a few months after they release. I'm not rich, I live in India, and I have 200+ games in my steam library, lol. The most expensive game I've ever bought is ME:A and that's because I pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition because I'm a huge ME:A fan. I have all the latest games from the last 2 years including Witcher 3, Deus Ex MD, Doom, NFS, Star Wars BF and on and on. All for the price of 2 games on console, which is what I'm guessing you're playing on.
Oh, also have FO4. I bought all these during the Steam Winter sale at insane discounts and I haven't even installed FO4 yet, because I've been too busy playing the rest, haha.
Sorry to disagree, but you can't buy a $250 buck PC and get it to run games as well as a PS4 with zero issues. I crashed *only* 3 times in 2yrs on FO4, but my brother on his $4K custom PC can't even count the number of crashes in the same period on the same game. True it looks and plays way nicer (when it ain't crashing). My point it I was a high-end PC gamer back in the day before becoming disabled, when I had $$$, now I game on the cheap and stay within my means, and don't break-down and have issues. Just push a button and stuff just works, every time. That's what I need. I pick and choose my games carefully, then enjoy the hell out of em.
I would recommend as an infiltrator to use turbo charge with either incinerate are overload while using the piranha with plasma seeking rounds as this will allow you to have a decent range with high burst damage and be able to prime or detonate with your teammates.
Great video, guys! There is only one thing: the way you explain this build makes it seem as if you are priming and detonating multiple targets at the same time. Unfortunately, this is not the case. After the Incinerate hits its two targets, you chain the Overload to its targets, but it only detonates on the first enemy you hit with Overload. Other than that, solid build with great survival skills. Well done.
Another excellent ME:A build! Thanks FudgeMuppet :) Keep 'em coming guys! How about a Soldier type? Or a hybrid build like a Sentinel or Engineer? Explorer maybe?
I like tactical cooak, overload and energy drain, which does a tech combo in that order. energy drain combos are just as good, faster, plus shield regeneration. armor is not a problem with damage boosting tactical cloak, especially with the dawn shotgun.
@FudgeMuppet Early in your video you stated that Overload does NOT prime targets for detonation.. That statement is false.. If you charge Overload (which you should always try to) and hit an enemy, they are primed for the duration of the stun (2 seconds if I recall).. The game does not state that the target is primed in the description, but mechanically, it is in fact primed.. I originally discovered this in multiplayer when people kept getting tech combos from my Overload.. Naturally, I decided to go test it in singleplayer.. To my surprise, it actually worked.. My initial combo spam was Incinerate with detonator + Energy Drain with primer.. Now I go angry Sith Lord and wind up a charged Overload and follow up with Energy Drain for the shield regeneration.. Constant lightning storms! I'd like to add that I THINK uncharged Overload also stuns (and primes for its duration) but I can't remember for certain if it does or not at the time of me posting this..
Ooooh, could you do the Explorer profile next. It's unique to Mass Effect: Andromeda and being a combination of combat, tech and biotics, gives you the most freedom in terms of powers and abilities, as well as weapons. Just a suggestion though, I'll watch whatever you guys upload, keep it up! :)
I actually take recharge instead of damage because overload is best used as a detonator for incinerate or flamethrower, not a damage dealer, especially considering how much damage you already have with your weapons. Alternatively, you can use concussive shot as a detonator, take anti-shield at level 6.
I know this video is old but if you're getting EMP just for the shield damage and charge overload for that one additional Target then I feel like getting anti Shield for that bonus Shield damage instead and then getting maximum charged would be more beneficial because it also add one additional Target to the chain and it increases chained lightning damage not initial so you'll be doing more AOE The only thing you're losing is the bonus damage to synthetics but you're gaining bonus chain damage while still keeping your chain on for targets and doing that bonus Shield damage
Muy de acuerdo contigo. Todavía hoy (3 años después) es un gran juego. Me ha regalado momentos excelentes. Gracias por los tutoriales e información. (Im agreed with you. This game is a great one after three years of this video. Thanks for your guides and information)
This is pretty cool, definitely going to try this out; nice video, detailed and complete. I wish there was a section for weapons augs tho(the research ones)!
You should do a melee only or very powerful melee build. I just re-speced my character and put alot in to melee but I would love to see how you would do it. Love the vids!
I call my infiltrator build the Legion Prime - Tactical cloak spec' for maximum damage, Assault Turret with rank 6 set for Flamethrower and the Remnant VI with rank 6 set for missiles. The two turrets themselves do a lot of priming and detonating, and allow you to lay down suppressing fire, outflank the bad guys and pick them off with your sniper rifle. Just like Legion with its attack drone, only better. However, another favorite profile is the Ninja Novaguard. Cloak + Charge + Nova. Charge guys, nova them, then sneak away. Use the Talon as a lightweight shotgun that looks like a pistol.
Personally I really liked using the Naladen sniper and it's explosive rounds are great for taking down heavily armored targets. paired with increase clip size its makes it even better.
i find that most of the time the double incinerate hits the same target so it sounds good and great when it works out, but turning it into a detonater as well gives you more options. Ive gone back and forth between those options quite a bit and I find the detentation skill to be better overall especially later in the game when you have more than 3 skills and passives maxed out and start swapping profiles as needed. pretty sure overload can indeed prime which is strange since it isnt listed as such. then you get the electric field on the ground and depending on your passives, you can have time to get another detonation if they are still in that field. Totally disagree with not getting power damage boost on cloak, since you can do both abilities for a tech combo and still have time to get 2 shots off before decloaking, all with the damage boost.
Okay, escape artist vs combat cloak, I completely disagree. In this game, there's not always the option to use cover (final battle for instance. No way to avoid being swarmed on all sides. Or a battle in the middle of nowhere and you have no cover at all), and if you constantly use tactical cloak, your shields will never recharge. Basically you're spending the whole time hoping you're not hit. And killing enemies faster means nothing in this situation if you can't take out most of them in those two seconds of extra cloak time. A great offense is not necessarily the best defense. EDIT: and on top of all that, enemies seem to still guess where I am when I cloak, so even if you try to blind side them, they can still hit you a few times, so never exposing yourself when not in cloak won't prevent you from getting hit.
I haven't played Andromeda, but Vanguard is the only class I ever play in the trilogy. Being able to yank people in the air is pretty damn fun and useful
to be honest... I feel like, for tactical cloak, you shouldn't pass on the damage perks at all. The recharge is going to be low cause you're going to heavily invest in the tech skills getting teh recharge passive that scales with total skill points in tech and maybe the 50% cooldown rebate on tech power use. So go ahead and take that extra dmg boost to stack in with the base dmg boost and tech rounds!
When you use the most powerful s.rifle in the game, Isharay, reload time is definitely an issue because you have a 1-shot clip. I chose faster reload. I turned to Black Widow later but I can come back again.
The Isharay is the way to go for a sniper IMO. The absolute highest damage I've come across for any of the sniper rifles. Sure it's one shot but combine that all the damage perks and you can wipe an entire field one by one by one. I rarely had to use any offensive powers and I had mostly defensive powers to pair with it.
My favorite gun based infiltrator build still only used cloak as their only tech skill. Cloak, turbo, barricade. highest single shot sniper rifle. pop barricade for a 15% dmg boost. Pop turbo for another 35%. Tact Cloak for another 90% dmg and 30% from tech rounds. Line up the headshot and BLAM
That's a very versatile build. And I agree, that armor looks badass! I think my second run will be as an Infiltrator. Vanguards and Infiltrators seem to benefit the most from the game's expanded mobility and verticality. Other builds seem to squander it a bit.
Hm, I augmented my Black Widow with the Heatsink or whats it called, where you don't have to worry about ammo, you get 3 shoots before overheating, and I use the combat ability, damn again can't remember the name, but it buffs up your damage, clip size and rate of fire, so I get 8 massive damage rapid fire shoots before overheating, add to that the cloaking damage bonus and you get the idea of how deadly it can be.
Use an Isharay instead of Black Widow. Put the Bio-Converter augment on it. This completely eliminates reload time and ammo concerns, at the cost of taking a little bit of health damage each time you would have reloaded. That health loss is an absolute non-issue because of the health regeneration you're getting every time you use a tech power.
This is awesome for a NG+, I still prefer the black widow for the first game which fairs better when you don't have quite the full build ready yet. Isharay is what I'm going for (with the adrenaline mod on my chest piece, I can basically spam invisibility and headshots -with the upgrade that does not prevent shield and health from recharging, not the 2 sec invisibility one which is actually counter productive in this build- and shots, which generally kills and reload everything so I can start again. The invisibility recharge the health lost by the shots)
Good video! This guide seems solid. A few things: It would have been nice if you had shown in which order to get the upgrades/powers as only the final result is shown. What about weapon mods? Also, almost everybody on reddit seems to think that tactical cloak rank 4 should be the damage upgrade instead of recharge speed. Also, are other guns than the sniper really necessary in MEA? In the trilogy, I use the sniper only, don't carry other guns because it isn't necessary and because of weight. I guess I will see, as I progress.
First of many questions: why would you pick up support when you aren't using any restoration or defensive powers? If you were using energy drain I can see it being a little bit more beneficial but with overload and incinerate with tactical cloak you're getting nothing from support
I use shield drain instead of overload. Also on the Black Widow use bioconverter (reload the magazine instantly without using ammo for 5% health) and 3 kinetic ones (+5% damage for each aug) It makes for a black widow with infinite ammo. Also for the invisibility just use the damage one, the skill already recharges incredibly fast if u use an augment or 2. It doubles the damage bonus. Also the carnivex is wayyy better as a pistol. The eagle is kinda weak
The best build is just to bring 5 hour till you max all skills as there's no skill cap and it doesn't get really really hard to level after a while that I know of
I personally disagree that this is the best infiltrator build. Try going tactical cloak with the damage boost, invasion with extra damage debuff, and the isharay sniper rifle with a vintage heat sink. Use invasion, cloak, then headshot, and you one shot nearly anything on insanity while having infinite ammo on the hardest hitting sniper in the game. Gun overheats with one shot, but doesn't matter on a 1 round clip. Secondary weapon and third ability are pure preference.
There are a lot of holes with this build, incinerate should be a detonator and over does primes targets only with shields and with a small chance with that combo you can annihilate shields faster. I use Energy Drain instead of Overload as it can restore shields, and become a detonator and a primer just like incinerate. recharge speed for these two are the key, you will have enough synergy between them to take out armor and shields constantly denotating and priming. passive skills definitely help with shield feedback (combined with tactical cloak's escape artist allow you to recharge shield while invisible making the cloak an emergency healer in tight situations.) recharge speed on the cloak is just ridiculous, weapon/power damage will give better synergy as passive tech skills can be used to make up for that time.
One thing you learn with this game, there are many options. Overload held and charged up wipes out anything, one shot one kill. Regardless of what it is in regards to human type enemies. Armor, shields or not.......both Overload and Incinerate simply eat them up. Of course much of this is found in passive skills as they provide the bonus damages. Bonus damages in the passive trees are so effective I find that amor choice is not even relevent so use the one you think looks nice. Want more shields........hey keep Cora around, do her loyalty mission as soon as you can and she will top out and then cast shield regen constantly. So many options in this game and all this nonsense about priming and painting....is ............nonsense. Pop and enemy with double incinerate or charged overload......hey they are not walking away, they are vaporized. And Incinerate has a very long range and will self seek targets. Add a fusion mod of adrenaline to your chest armor, get the half penalty perk in the science pod thingy and you can play without even using a weapon if you want. So see , many options and many ways, one does not have to prime and paint. Cheers!!
lol only on normal and below. higher difficulty = overload just being a utility skill. better is invasion + energy drain, and use your guns, because your skills are not going to get the job done on their own by any means. invasion works on everything, shields and armor both. Invasion plus sniper rifle actually works better to take down a shielded target than overload plus sniper rifle! the only thing you lose is the chain stun effect on groups. and if you are sniper infiltrator, what are you doing trying to manage groups?
What builds do you all use? I use incinerate, throw and charge. Weapons wise I have a piranha with infinite ammo (using the augmentation that drains a bit of health for an instant reload), a black widow and a carnifex (best pistol in the game imho). So far this is a pretty fun and strong build
Lance, Annihilation and Charge with a bio-converter Ushior and Kett Carfallon using the Vanguard profile. Pretty standard Charge'n'Barge gameplay with the Ushior being used on enemies I don't want to get too close to or to soften up hardened targets and the Carfallon to top off my hp if it's starts to get low.
I been playing an Infiltrator as it is my go to class for ME. I play on the XBOX and I get some delay between the shot and the person dying it can be distracting.
This looks like an awesome build and I fully intend to try it out, though as far as sniper rifles go, my preference is the Inferno Remnant Sniper rifle or the Ishaaray. The inferno does a pretty solid amount of damage and you can get a lot of shots off, and the Ishaaray is just a beast that can one-shot a fair number of enemies. Just my personal preference.
great build just what i was looking for ty. plus i subbed AGAIN!!! im sure i was subbed from my fo4 days, i tried lots of your builds but seems yt unsubbed me idk weird.
Welp, you guys pretty much came up with the same build I did. Except I went with omni grenade and turned it into sticky grenade instead of the barrier. Also I went with Crusader shotgun for those up close slug headshots. And my pistol was the Carnifex, been using that since Mass Effect 2.
great build. I'm actually playing an infiltrator myself and I was trying to decide which tech skills to use. Can you see if you can do like a viable biotic assassin with a sniper but also biotics and a sword for if people get too close? I've been trying to find a way to do that but I'm stuck on which skills to use lol. I was thinking having tactical cloak in there somewhere as well
well that doesn't make any sense. earlier he said, "we don't need more weapon damage." then later under the sniper rifle tree, he said we should take more damage than rate of fire and other sorts. So do we need it or don't we?
You could try Tactical Cloak (with either bonus damage or recharge speed/duration up/combat Cloak), Charge (with extra damage/gun and melee damage up/recharge speed or bastion) and a third skill of your choice. Your core passives are going to be shotguns and combat tools (there's a lot of evolutions here that boosts melee). Profile is going to be either Vanguard (to optimize melee damage and survivability) or Infiltrator (reduce Cloak's recharge speed). Armor is Hyperguardian augmented fully with tech recharge speed. Weapons are mostly up to you; I'm not knowledgeable enough about shotguns to recommend one, but your melee weapon is going to be a toss up between Asari Sword (good damage, gap closer and invincibility frames) or Krogan Hammer (slow but has the highest damage per hit which works well with Combat Cloak's short window). Sorry if this was a bit long but I hope it helps in some way
Personally, I'd go with a pistol/melee build because shotguns only synergize with melee if you shoot an enemy, which on higher difficulties could just get you punched in the mouth and killed. My build consists of Tactical Cloak, Incinerate/Energy Drain, and Charge. Profiles: Vanguard or Infiltrator Vanguard offers shield regen upon melee contact with an enemy among other things that are good for melee Infiltrator provides CD time on TC I use Vanguard Powers: TacCloak - Damage, Duration, and Escape Artist (because combat cloak doesn't work all that well for melee) Incinerate - Radius, Anti-Armor, and Double Incinerate Energy Drain - Effectiveness, Extended Drain, and Team Drain Offensive Tech - Personally it's up to you to go AA or AS, I prefer AS, then I'd grab Detonators, and Elemental Tech Auxiliary Systems - Priming, Enduring Tech, and personal preference for the last one, if you took EA from TC then Shield Feedback would be kind of nice. Charge - Radius, Weapons & Melee, and Bastion (Charge recharges fast enough to not warrant Shock Trooper) Offensive Biotics - Alacrity, Detonation, and Biotic Warrior Barrier - Recuperative Barrier, Biotic Alacrity (Movement Speed w/ shields), and Saving Barrier Containment is on my list of things to spec into because I want to try out Shield Detonation, but I haven't grabbed it yet. Pistols - Spare Ammo, I personally prefer Reload over Clip Size, and then the last one is up to you. Combat Fitness - Regeneration, Heavy Lifting, and again, personal preference, since I'm doing a TacMelee on a higher difficulty, I prefer Hold the Line. Combat Tools - Evasion, Aerial Melee, Martial Arts Weapons: Quite personally, any of the melee weapons with a status proc (cold, fire, electric, biotic) are good if you want to setup for combos with your melee. The Kett Carfalon restores health upon hit, and the Asari Sword offers a blink that negates momentary damage. It's really up to you on this, I prefer the Asari Sword for the blink and the larger base damage. The Carfalon does pretty much what the Vanguard profile does, but for health instead, and companions can make up for not taking one of the elemental based weapons. My Asari Sword has the following augmentations on it: 3% Weapon Damage, 5% Power Damage Bonus to Shields, 5% Power Damage Bonus to Armor, and 5% Tech Recharge Speed. Pistol of choice - Carnifex: It does good damage and has a decent clip, albeit a kind of slow rate of fire, but it's ok. If crafting one, I'd recommend giving it an additional 2 mod slots and innate Disruptor Ammo Then for mods, I'm running Pistol Barrel, Pistol Light Melee, Pistol Receiver, and Pistol Heavy Magazine. Armor: The quintessential piece for this is going to be the Hyperguardian Chestpiece because it offers additional melee damage. The mods are kind of negligible, I'd recommend having Tech Recharge on all armor pieces just to make up for the tech(s) longer CD times, you could also throw on Biotic Recharge speed if you want but it's not really necessary. My setup is: Heleus Defender line of helmets w/ Tech Recharge and Power Effect Duration boosts. Hyperguardian Chestpiece w/ Biotic and Tech Recharge, Damage Resistance, and 2% Health and Shield Regen Delay Reduction. Remnant Heritage Arms w/ Tech Recharge and Power Damage Bonus to Armor Remnant Heritage Legs w/ 2% Health and Shield Regen Delay Reduction and one of the On Jump Melee mods (That adds a nasty bit of damage to jump melee attacks in an AoE, so each person hit restores shields to me. Currently I'm using the Cryo version, but I'm thinking of swapping it out for the Electric version)
Kapitän JadeDejavu I figured out a great cloak shotgun melee build that uses cloak with extra gun damage and +2 extended cloak. This allows you to shotgun and with the extra two seconds you can melee right after.
This sounds like a potentially glorious build, I've been roaming the tubes for a new build to start ME: Andromeda over again and this, this looks like A LOT of fun :D 3rd skill? Maybe Avenger strike? Or a primer for detonations like Overload, perhaps the Cyro beam/Flamer when you're up close and in their face? Only thing missing from this is being able to be a Krogan, lol.
you dont get detonator on insinrate becose overloda is not a primer ..but it is a prime skill info doesnt tell you tho . the teck prime from overlode is very short you gota be fast with detonating it. love the build btw keep them up
Pistols and assault rifles are a waist of points in this game in Hardcore and insane use a shotty it's much more effective. I recommend a crafted Piranha with seeking plasma system, bio converter and kinetic coil, kills everything from short to medium range and almost makes a sniper build obsolete, especially if you're using turbocharge.
I honestly would have been on damage, sustainability and debuff. Tactical Cloak of course, then have Invasion and Energy Drain because run in a lot of fights. Or Barricade instead of Energy Drain.
you only don't need more damage for your sniper rifle, if you are playing normal diff or below. otherwise, you ALWAYS need more damage, and boosting your damage by ANOTHER 50% vs a 30% cooldown? yeah, easy pick. you're going to be one shotting grunts anyway, but the extra alpha damage is very useful against big targets. I would only pick the lower recharge time if you are NOT a sniper gun user, but instead melee or smg infiltrator. Or, you can just respec depending on the enemies you expect to face. If you think even with full bonuses you still won't be able to one shot most enemies, then switching to faster recharge would be better.
Would you be able to do a Technomancer build ( Assualt turret, Vi Drone). Im interested in what you would pick as your third ability when you have the two drones. also what guns or playstyle is the best for the Technomancer
True, I too find Mass Effect: Andomeda an amazing game!
The Red One Glad I'm not the only one.
I don't have the game but seeing different game builds is refreshing.
Sneaky Archer will never die.
I would recommend Escape Artist if you're playing on insanity difficulty. It makes a world of difference to be able to cloak and then regen the damage you took. On lower difficulties this isn't necessary at all though.
Nice build, i'm enjoying the Mass Effect Build videos as much as I have been the game, which is a lot, so keep up the good work mate.
I love this game. I hope no random haters pop out of nowhere and try to ruin it. Great vid though guys! Love your stuff.
It's pretty fun although there are lot's of cringe jokes.
D C. mass effect always had cringe jokes...
The joke liam makes on habitat 7 made me cringe so hard
i mean its not like it has problems *cough cough the characters and their faces and animations*
Collector Drone it a good game but I think persona 5 is a little bit better.
Fudgemuppet... I fucking love you man!
I love infiltrator... :)
Thanks for putting this up.
Fallout 4 is Burnt out. I'm glad your branching out. Do pure Biotic next.
Overload IS a Primer. It just does not last very long. Such as Overloading an anemy and then immediately following up with a detonator will cause a Tech combo which electrifies and area stunning enemies and causing damage over time.
yeah this is true. I don't know why the skill description only shows it as detonator.
+박준규 because it doesn't prime 100% of the time, use tech passive priming rate to double it
Another great vid, thanks Michael.
3:20 emmm then why did overload primed enemies for tech combo when Fully charged in my playthrough?
Love the combat in this game
In fact I just generally love this game
You should add what melee weapons to recommend for each build. Id personally recommend remnant cryo gauntlet for any build that doesnt focus on melee.
Did they do away with sniper time dilation in this game? I always loved that feature in ME2 and 3, makes a terrible sniper like me feel like a pro.
I hope that you have more builds on the way.
Im still finishing my first playthrough AND GOD THIS LOOKS FUN
I might do this on my fem ryder.
i was a mix of soldier and infiltrator for my first playthrough.
*This is my first buy since Fallout 4*
Really? It's been like two years dude?!
*Umm, you can count :-)*
1) I really love FO4
2) I live on SSDI
3) I only play one game at a time
4) I like to get my *bang* for my *buck*
5) I am poor in case you didn't get it
6) I can usually only buy 1 or maybe 2-3 games per year max, this year I got lucky and was gifted a couple too, so got *Snipe Elite 4* and *Horizon Zero Dawn* .
Loving your videos fella just come across you keep up the good work
Great video, guys! Well done.
i think Peebee would be good with this build, for invasion and the defence debuff that comes with it
Another excellent ME:A build!
Tbh i might actually go with this build for my walkthrough thank you for this video pal ;)
Sentinel next? I just want to be an unkillable God Tank that just wades through battlefields not giving a damn
TheValiantBob i have a sentinel build i use assault rifles and shotguns a bit different from the original trilogy but it works
Overload does prime, when the enemy is stunned for that 1 second, it is primed. Also switching Rank 5 and 6 for overload would hield in more damage.
I know this video is old but if you're getting EMP just for the shield damage and charge overload for that one additional Target then I feel like getting anti Shield for that bonus Shield damage instead and then getting maximum charged would be more beneficial because it also add one additional Target to the chain and it increases chained lightning damage not initial so you'll be doing more AOE
The only thing you're losing is the bonus damage to synthetics but you're gaining bonus chain damage while still keeping your chain on for targets and doing that bonus Shield damage
I do love this game, and tyvm for the build, been using an adept type build myself
Muy de acuerdo contigo. Todavía hoy (3 años después) es un gran juego. Me ha regalado momentos excelentes. Gracias por los tutoriales e información. (Im agreed with you. This game is a great one after three years of this video. Thanks for your guides and information)
very similar to my build- I swap overload for energy drain so i can get that shield refill!
This is pretty cool, definitely going to try this out; nice video, detailed and complete. I wish there was a section for weapons augs tho(the research ones)!
Overload is a primer, overload a target then use Biotic throw, boom tech combo
Any Mass Effect Lore coming soon?
Can't wait to see how you guys do adept. Hopefully not another Vanguard Lite like so many do.
i find that most of the time the double incinerate hits the same target so it sounds good and great when it works out, but turning it into a detonater as well gives you more options.
Can you go through the Augments as well please.
Line up the headshot and BLAM
gj thx for this saves lots of time when starting new loadout
very good build thx man
When it comes to picking a squad member, I prefer at least Cora. Her shield boost level 6 really helps when your in a serious fire fight.
Nice one, cheers. Agree, it's a great game too.
You could use the N7 tempest as a sidearm it's pretty solid but can run out of ammo quickly
How does your blk widow have 4 rounds? Mine only has 1. I followed the build. Maybe I missed something.
The game audio in this video is really low quality but the voice over is fine
I named my Mass Effect Andromeda character Dick. I did not realize my mistake until my friend started laughing.
great build just what i was looking for ty.
plus i subbed AGAIN!!! im sure i was subbed from my fo4 days, i tried lots of your builds but seems yt unsubbed me idk weird.
I need a really defensive sniper build. I love distance fights but I need to stay defensive, not purely offensive
Can you please put more gameplay in these videos?
holy crap how long do you have to play to get that ammount of points :O I am 25 hours in and barely have 65 points
this build is great for anything but insanity
Welp, you guys pretty much came up with the same build I did. Except I went with omni grenade and turned it into sticky grenade instead of the barrier. Also I went with Crusader shotgun for those up close slug headshots. And my pistol was the Carnifex, been using that since Mass Effect 2.
It just seems wrong somehow to not use ol' trusty Carnifex
overload is actually a primer. it doesn't show on the UI and it primes for a short time
great build.
I was thinking having tactical cloak in there somewhere as well
Man i love your builds but the shotgun surgeon of Mass effect is the best infiltrator build. Stealth, sneak up to the unsuspecting individual and BOOM
well that doesn't make any sense. earlier he said, "we don't need more weapon damage." then later under the sniper rifle tree, he said we should take more damage than rate of fire and other sorts. So do we need it or don't we?
Could you make a meele cloak build?
I mean specialised in shotgun and melee, not just a possibility like in this one.
Profiles:
Vanguard or Infiltrator
Vanguard offers shield regen upon melee contact with an enemy among other things that are good for melee
Infiltrator provides CD time on TC
I use Vanguard
Powers:
TacCloak - Damage, Duration, and Escape Artist (because combat cloak doesn't work all that well for melee)
Incinerate - Radius, Anti-Armor, and Double Incinerate
Energy Drain - Effectiveness, Extended Drain, and Team Drain
Offensive Tech - Personally it's up to you to go AA or AS, I prefer AS, then I'd grab Detonators, and Elemental Tech
Auxiliary Systems - Priming, Enduring Tech, and personal preference for the last one, if you took EA from TC then Shield Feedback would be kind of nice.
Charge - Radius, Weapons & Melee, and Bastion (Charge recharges fast enough to not warrant Shock Trooper)
Offensive Biotics - Alacrity, Detonation, and Biotic Warrior
Barrier - Recuperative Barrier, Biotic Alacrity (Movement Speed w/ shields), and Saving Barrier
Containment is on my list of things to spec into because I want to try out Shield Detonation, but I haven't grabbed it yet.
Combat Tools - Evasion, Aerial Melee, Martial Arts
Weapons:
Quite personally, any of the melee weapons with a status proc (cold, fire, electric, biotic) are good if you want to setup for combos with your melee.
Pistol of choice - Carnifex:
It does good damage and has a decent clip, albeit a kind of slow rate of fire, but it's ok.
If crafting one, I'd recommend giving it an additional 2 mod slots and innate Disruptor Ammo
Then for mods, I'm running Pistol Barrel, Pistol Light Melee, Pistol Receiver, and Pistol Heavy Magazine.
Armor:
The quintessential piece for this is going to be the Hyperguardian Chestpiece because it offers additional melee damage. The mods are kind of negligible, I'd recommend having Tech Recharge on all armor pieces just to make up for the tech(s) longer CD times, you could also throw on Biotic Recharge speed if you want but it's not really necessary.
My setup is:
Heleus Defender line of helmets w/ Tech Recharge and Power Effect Duration boosts.
Hyperguardian Chestpiece w/ Biotic and Tech Recharge, Damage Resistance, and 2% Health and Shield Regen Delay Reduction.
Remnant Heritage Arms w/ Tech Recharge and Power Damage Bonus to Armor
Remnant Heritage Legs w/ 2% Health and Shield Regen Delay Reduction and one of the On Jump Melee mods (That adds a nasty bit of damage to jump melee attacks in an AoE, so each person hit restores shields to me.
This sounds like a potentially glorious build, I've been roaming the tubes for a new build to start ME: Andromeda over again and this, this looks like A LOT of fun :D
3rd skill? Maybe Avenger strike? Or a primer for detonations like Overload, perhaps the Cyro beam/Flamer when you're up close and in their face?
Only thing missing from this is being able to be a Krogan, lol.
please make an awesomely powerful sentinel
So to big gist of an infiltrator is to precisely kill enemies [from afar]? And what about tech support armors vs kett armors (for high weapon damage)?
you dont get detonator on insinrate becose overloda is not a primer ..but it is a prime skill info doesnt tell you tho .
the teck prime from overlode is very short you gota be fast with detonating it.
love the build btw keep them up
Pistols and assault rifles are a waist of points in this game in Hardcore and insane use a shotty it's much more effective. I recommend a crafted Piranha with seeking plasma system, bio converter and kinetic coil, kills everything from short to medium range and almost makes a sniper build obsolete, especially if you're using turbocharge.
you need fusion MOD of adrenaline. cloak kill recloak. no waiting for recharges and then you can take damage instead of recharge speed
What's the difference between Maverick Deadeye and Maverick Ambusher set? They seem to have the same stats for head shot dmg and spare ammo.
