- It may seem like a long time ago, but the inFamous series was rather modestly famous. It was a symbol of the popularity of open world action gaming back when that genre type was particularly popular, and the ability to dictate the moral course of the games with player actions both worked together to make players more invovled in their playthrough, but also to give players a variety of options in how they wanted to play.
inFamous: Second Son was one of the titles unveiled at E3 2013, the same year that held one of their most important press conferences - the one that officially announced the PS4. With the series' absence for so many years, we are inclined to ask - what the hell happened to the inFamous series?

They definitely have to smooth out the controls as well. So a Remake would be more preferable for me. And I'm so ready for that though.
@@mrbubbles293 A remake takes significantly more money and time to make, unlikely they would do that and especially not for like 5-10 years. I'd love a remake as well though.
I don't think the controls were bad, I just think the whole game is a bit wonky and sluggish due to the low fps. A lot would be fixed if they just remastered it. Replaying the games I found it often fipped below 20 fps and it made a lot of parts a chore to play with modern standards

I didn't see a single mention of inFamous: Festival of Blood. It was a PSN game and not a full game, but it was a good idea with some Vampire Skills mixed in.
Probably because it was DLC, but that point is invalid because First Light was Also a DLC before it became a stand alone game.(I thought Festival of Blood did as well?)
Either way, they mentioned SF X Tekken in the video but not Festival of Blood. I also couldn't find anybody commenting about it. It's as if it didn't exist at all. At least two people have heard of it, I guess.

Second Son was amazing. However, I have only played that and First Light.

Man, Second Son was my first PS4 game ever. I remember picking it up on opening night, booting up the game, sitting in the darkness and parkouring to the lighthouse. What a great introduction to my favourite console ever.
I might get a lot of hate for this but I would prefer another infamous game over Ghost of Tsushima.

I honestly feel like these were some of the funnest games I played. I got a platinum trophy in all of them.

Too bad Second Son wasn't that hardcore as its predecessors imo. It's a okay game on its own, but feel like they could've done better like add in different types of enemies besides one-standard conduit soldiers with the same abilities almost.
The amount of stories they could make for different infamous games is endless, look at all the powers that are unique in their own ways, it was one of the best games I’ve ever played, they have to continue the franchise

Infamous was the first game I got when my mom finally bought me a PS3. It was my first console, previously all I had was a Nintendo DS. I remember that first day playing, I was so impressed by the graphics 😭.
It was the game I got for free over psn going down for over a month.
It was the first game I got with my first ps3 too. If you don't include the games that came with my ps3, because I got a bundle. I walked out of bestbuy with the first infamous and a ps3 that day I don't even know how many years ago.

ZanFear infamous came out a few months after the ps4 launch so its almost like it started with it even though it came out 4-5 months after the launch
There was a rumor somewhere on Twitter that SP is working on a new Infamous, maybe a remake of an old game or a new one altogether, and that it would be showcased at the Sony showcase event. Now even tho the leaker messed up with this one, he's the same guy that leaked Ghost of Tsushima Iki island DLC so he may be onto something. It may just be false but if it's real it would be so cool to see something in a couple years, and right now on Sucker punch site there are 22 jobs up for offer, they may be just expanding the studio or they may be working on 2 games simultaneously, who knows, when there's smoke there's Delsin
Infamous 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. The music, the characters, the sense of progression and power... Above all, set in New (Orleans), it has this unique, earthy tone that feels uncomfortable and genuine the whole time. I’d pay full price for a next-gen redo of it.

Splat1Gamer 2 yeah it was a sort of DLC for Infamous 2 focusin on Cole getting bit by Bloody Mary and having to stop her before dawn. it had a couple of cool vampire moves, the story was out there in the best sense of the phrase the only major complaint I had about it was that it was only 2-3 hours long if that.
All three Infamous games were absolutely fun experiences,especially Second Son,having the ability to swap your powers was rlly dope actually!

I still say that the ending of second son and the content of first light is the perfect setup for a multiplayer online CAC type of infamous game. We're not only they also use the karma system, but in the beginning of the game that could be built in questionnaires that actually mean something when making your character and choosing a power.

Multi powers, smart Bossfights. And touched on racism and how protesting can be did violently or peacefully
yea second son is underrated. I really liked the lead character in contrast with his brother. brings a fresh new element to the series. loved the abilities as well.
I loved the variety in abilities (concrete was a little underwelming, didn't even have a passive takedown method, luckily you only got it after the main story ended, so it didn't matter that much)
I loved the characters and cried at reggie's death even after the 2nd playthrough. I haven't touched my PS4 for over a year, but I feel like booting it up again and replay this game for the 5th time.

Sucker Punch is without a doubt my favourite game company. They have only two franchises under their belt but they are both my favourite video game series of all time. The Sly Cooper trilogy is phenomenal, and although a it was small part of my childhood, I loved reconnecting with it in recent years. InFamous was one of the first games I played religiously and I adored every moment of it, it's so special and like nothing else. Even if both of these franchises never return, I look forward to SP's next game, and with their track record it looks like they'll really deliver on Ghost of Tsushima. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Sucker Punch.

No. This is not how it works. As the video stated correctly, the studio Sucker Punch Productions are working on another new IP, called Ghost of Tsushima. There's no way they can work on such huge projects at once.

Second son was ok but i want a proper infamous 3
Besides the graphics, the controls, delsin, and the unique powers there wasn't anything really great about it. Missions were repetitive. No variation in enemies. Story was meh. Powers were just skins of the original one you had, except for the speedy traveling. At least in Infamous 2 it had 3 powers (electricity, ice, fire) but they felt different from each other. And the way you met those 3 characters was recycled each time.

I feel like a new Infamous would include after the events of second son with Delsin. He'd find 4 new powers and the ability to use 2 at once. The story in my opinion should include new antagonists that are ACTUAL terrorists with powers and Delsin will have to fight them off. *could bring back some characters like Augustine or find a way to show that his brother isn't dead.*

I really love the Infamous series and while the I don't think the story can go on forever, there are many stories to tell. For example, how did the rest of the world react to the conduits and the events of all the games. An Infamous game set in Europe or Asia and seeing how they handled the Conduits. We (I believe) have not left the left side of the world so seeing possible stories set in South America, Canada, China, France, or Japan would be amazing. If the Infamous series does continue, I can't wait for where it will go next.

@@MyManJFKTV like the last of us was a ps4 game playable on ps3? it was playable but it pushed my ps3 so hard it would overheat and shut down. i traded in that ps3 for the newest model (which cost me about the same as my ps4 at the time) just so i could keep play the last of us without any issues. glad i got it though because i still have a lot of great ps3 games and play it just as much as my ps4.

Well there is not really a lot of place to bring back Cole, the events of Second son and First light are after Cole died so the next Infamous would need to be a prequel of 2. If they make another Infamous they should go with someone else becouse it's way easier and better to write a new story than to try and cram a game inbetween Cole's games
It wouldn't b hard to bring him back its a video game about a super hero, they can make up any rules they want. Plus I always thought the lightning bolt at the end of #2 in the shape of a question mark, that struck the boat with coles coughing on it left it open. For him to come bad if they ever wanted him to. Like they can pick it up from there saying that his body attracted lightning from the rain clouds and it brought him back to life. And who would we be to argue Its a video game lol. Ijs
@@bbswinn Yeah but it'd be kinda lore breaking since it's confirmed that Cole died even in Second son becouse I think for preordering your task is to get the info about Cole for a reporter that's working for Zeke. I doubt Cole would hide himself from Zeke if he survived. And he wouldn't need a lightning bolt to strike him, all conduits have quick heal even for serious injuries
I want Delsin's story to continue, I like Cole just like the next guy but he's confirmed to be dead.
I want Second Son 2 to be about an older Delsin Rowe becoming this conduit guru, teaching younger conduits how to control their powers.

I love and Platinumed the 3 main games and played the two DLC games but I also don't want Sucker Punch ONLY making this series. Ghosts of Tsushima looks fantastic. Every studio deserves to flex their creative muscles. I never felt like this series died off or anything like that.
First Infamous was the first game I actually bother to platinum. Platinum the second one also.
It’s only been five years since First Light, the series definitely still has life. Sequels back to back to back can become overdone/boring, and it’s good to let shit breathe. With that said tho, I highly look forward to Ghost of Tsushima

Infamous is my favorite franchise.
It's the most "fun" game mechanics since the legendary Pandemic Studios spoiled us 20 years ago.
I hope against hope that there is another Infamous in our future.

Still have my hopes up for a new infamous game
I was with inFamous ever since I played that demo in the Walmart back in 2009.. I purchased the first game because it was 5 bucks, even though I didn't even have a PS3 and wouldn't have one until years later.
I still plan to get a PS4 and Second Son. But, I've noticed that I haven't heard much since then. Thank you for explaining everything. Hopefully, Sucker Punch continues to grow strong, whether they continue making inFamous games or not. They've done great work for many years and I wish them many more years of great work.

I don't think it was that people hated Delsin it's just that it wasn't cole kind of like how people hated Nero before dmc 4 came out because it wasn't Dante you get me?
An infamous movie would definitely work in this age of Super Hero movies because it would be a fresh take on the super powers area of fictional story telling in the eyes of the unknowing casual movie goers while also riding off the popularity of the MCU, DCEU, CW DCU, ect. Not to mention OG fans of the series will preorder tickets immediately and whether or not it's good, it will make large sums of money and will definitely green light a long awaited sequel game to the series.
Games like infamous NEED to become a big franchise, and since this is a generation where superheroes and villains are popular this would be the perfect time to execute a sequel to Infamous and make it a bigger franchise.
These were my favorite back on ps3 sad u didn't talk about the vampire one. Hype beast 🤦🏿♂️

Just played Infamous: First Light for the 1st time last week to hold me over until Control came out. Made me get into the series
We had 2 games of Cole, and I kinda want to see more of Delsin and see what he does after the death of his brother Reggie having a life on his own. First Light was just a game of backstory of Fetch and how the events lead up to Delsin. But I think it'd be cool to see more Delsin

I agree! I really liked Delsin, I think he's pretty underrated. That and Troy Baker does an excellent job voicing him. I hope we see more of him as well as maybe more of Fetch and Eugene.
InFamous 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. I played through it 3 times. On my 4th playthrough my PS3's power supply broke lol. It really was such an experience every time. All games are great though.
Second Son is literally one of my favourite games ever, I loved it when I first played it and I still think it holds up today, despite some flaws.. It'd be awesome to see a comeback!

Finished infamous second son again a couple of weeks back.
I love to revisit the game often,the game is a breath of fresh air.
This was one of my favorite series when I was younger, Hope we get a new one one day.

These games are definitely my favorite games to play. As a matter of fact,.....I just got done playing Infamous 1 about 30 minutes ago.
Me personally, I enjoyed second son but wish it was a longer game, and I wish first light was a longer game from what I here. I just got the game in the mail and can’t wait to play it. I truly enjoyed Infamous Festival of Blood. I wish the game had a physical release like first light, and I hope that it also was a much longer game but it was nice to play like a Infamous 2 and a half. I do have a lot of faith that the infamous series can be one of the greatest gaming series ever. If done right.
Me and other Infamous fanatics just want more good infamous games. Games that are very fun to play but not to difficult to get through, but at the same time pretty challenging....If anyone understands what I’m saying. I really really hope that the right people get together and at least do a VERY good 3 to 5 Infamous games for PS5. I really do. I truly believe that people will definitely support the series.
Also, I’m surprised that this game hasn’t made it to the big screen yet. With the right actor and team behind him, this could very well be an incredible trilogy at least.
Please, Sucker Punch or someone who sees this who can get the ball rolling, please give us some incredible Infamous games for the PS5 at least in the next couple of years.
Loved Infamous 1, enjoyed TF out of 2, was indifferent towards Second Son, eventually forgot it existed by First Light.

Infamous 2 had a great setting, great antagonist, every time the beast appeared YOU KNOW SHITS ABOUT TO GO DOWN, that nuke part, damn still remember it to this day.
I fell like enemies in second son were underwhelming, but I hope they continue this franchise

It wasn’t really out of thin air, it’s just that Sucker Punch has been workin’ on Ghost of Tsushima...and this game is takin’ a little longer than expected to release. Maybe Sony announced and revealed it too early, but all I know is that I NEED MO INFO. And remasters for the first two with better colors.

Mario Badia - It’s hard to forget about TLOU2, but I feel you haha. They announced/revealed both of those games pretty early in development, and I kinda wished they didn’t. It slows down the hype of it when it’s announced with no real news in years

The problem with the Infamous series is that the first 2 games were a neatly self-contained story. The second 2 games seemed like they were set in an alternate universe. The issue really comes down to what else is there to do besides a remaster?
If it was handled correctly, I could see the Infamous franchise expanding out to become something ala the X-Men (which they sorta tried to do with SS). To do that though, they would probably need to start over and have all the previous characters reprise in various roles. Maybe make em fight each other, team up to stop an even bigger threat (which may or may not be a super), or both.
They just need cool new enemies who can parkour and chase you, + others. Harder difficulty through good AI. (Not more HP & More damage.)

Infamous Second Son is one of my favorite video games of all. I've probably played it like 6 times now! It can sometimes be pretty buggy, and *some* of the dialogue is sort of awkward, but overall, it's very fun and insanely charming. The gameplay itself is a blast, and the characters are very enjoyable. I do wish there was a bit more development for certain characters, but other than that, I love this game!
They should just remaster infamous 1 and 2 on ps4 i would buy it regardless.
