Vocal and guitar tone is great, but deam, that pre solo downstroke riff and solo itself is just fucked up. Also bass just repeats guitar line, when in original it was much more creative by far
Chucks voice is more mature in the first place and naturally deeper. Hetfield was barely 18 when they recorded Kill 'Em All. Both are good in their respective ways and both are iconic
@@Andreewguitar It's true, this was on a MEtallica tribute album called Metallic assault. Lots of collaborations, it's a great album if you can find it. The version of Battery with Erik AK and Dave Lomboardo is epic
Holy SHIT. Wow. No words can describe the awesomeness of this. God, can they make any song, original or cover, a bad one? This is fucking amazing, and their new album just was in-fucking-credible. I should change my name to Testamentrox9...lol
This song appeared on the Metallic Assault tribute to Metallica. The musicians are: Chuck Billy (voice Testament), Jake E. Lee (Guitar) Jimmy Bain (Bass, Dio) Aynsley Dunbar (Drum).
this cover rocks!! Chuck Billy great as always, but I'm not sure if this is testament at all or just Chuck billy with some friends, (I've heard such comment earlier)
the third did contain them, it was the first two that didnt, those songs were recorded with jason on bass, they were recorded in '88 when kill 'em all was re-released.
I m a deeeeeep kill em all Ride Master And justice Fan .. AND a true Testament Fan ....this cover is a master piece ...the Testament groove ...with a Metallica Hit Song ....Seek and Destroy under Cocaine ....
Seek and Destroy was made in fucking 82, james was almost a child, and the whole band had not even half as the technique that they have today, not even to mention the equipment... so that is NO way to compare the original song with covers made recently... But i bet that if Metallica makes a whole new studio recording, will kick asses all over the world...
Yeah, I agree. This version fucking owns Metallica's, and before any of you people criticize me for saying so, I'm a huge Metallica fan too. I still think Ride the Lightning is the greatest thrash album ever made.
It isn't Testament, but Chuck does the vocals tho. Here's the info: Jimmy Bain (Rainbow, Dio; bass) Chuck Billy (Testament; vocals) Aynsley Dunbar (Frank Zappa, Journey; drums) Jake E. Lee (Ozzy Osbourne, Badlands; guitar) It's on the Metallica Assault: A Tribute to Metallica album.
The song, no, it's from a tribute album called "The Blackest Box" released on '07. The video is a bunch of pieced together clips of the band I'm guessing, which is what he most likely meant by video edit.
well he did metallicas first cd no life till leather that had hit the lights, mechanix(four horsemen), motorbreath, seek and destroy, metal militia, jump in the fire, and phantom lord. he is also credited for ride the lightning and the call of ktulu
Kirk played Dave solo, and put quite a major touch to all of it.And it did become better in my opinion. And producer Kill Em All even have the same opinion as mine.Dave can sing the same, because his song is very easy to sing. Most of Dave riff in Kill Em All is made together with all Metallica member,at least with James.Rust In Peace is their greatest album, who doest fall for that.Any metal fans will like Rust In Peace.Unless,ur a hater.
i don't know why the 2 guys didn't like the solo i thought it was cool i liked metallica when i was like in 1st grade and im in high school now, but testment i never really listen to many of their songs but i know for a fact their badass i think they should do a megadeth cover thow awsome video btw
it has a different...feel to it, I can't explain it really, it just, doesn't effect me the same way the original does. good cover though, better than lot of covers out there.
great cover billys vocals are so fucking heavy i thought they couldve done the tempo change section a bit faster and alex couldve done more with the solo but it was still really good
i love chucks vocals , he can sing in so many ways and i like his growls even more :D
El poderoso Testament. Este track está con madres.
I pride myself on collecting covers of Metallica songs, and I must say, this is BY FAR one of the best!
One of the worst
Vocal and guitar tone is great, but deam, that pre solo downstroke riff and solo itself is just fucked up. Also bass just repeats guitar line, when in original it was much more creative by far
best thing about this cover....they mastered the song so you can HEAR the bass hahaha
This was on Kill'Em All not And justice For All
@Andrew Le big I was responding to some who deleted their comment, because they thought this song was on Metallica's Masters of Puppets album.
this is one of the best covers of any song I have heard in ages... most covers of songs suck this ones good
Chuck Billy has one of the best damn metal voices of all time!! It hasn’t really changed with age either. He’s the shit!!
Goddamn right!
teastament is one of the most underrated bands out there. ive seen them live and it was better then the death magnetic tour for sure.
WHAT a great version! They can be proud of it!
Chuck's voice = one thousand deaths
it really is Testament playing/singing. How could you not think its Chuck Billy? you can recognise his vocals a mile off
Chucks voice is more mature in the first place and naturally deeper. Hetfield was barely 18 when they recorded Kill 'Em All. Both are good in their respective ways and both are iconic
Man, this is by far the best cover of this song and also nice to see how it sounds played by a Les Paul (like I play one of these)!
This is awesome. Much heavier than the original, could be a Testament song, than Metallica! Testament rules
This isn't Testament.It's Chuck,Jake E Lee,Jimmy Bain and Ansly Dunbar.
From the metalica tribute cd "A Tribute To Metallica. 2001
true it is a collection of clips
One of the best metallica covers ive heard yet!!! 2 thumbs up
wow great cover...i always loved those bands...Metallica and Testament are the best!!!!and AC/DC too!!!
Great song and AWESOME cover! Thrash for life \m/
this is the best cover ever,iv been listening to metallica for like 5 years now and head a lot of covers but this simply rocks
fantastic :D
AYEE MY BOY MATT LIKES TESTAMENT???🔥🔥🔥🤣
The fuck are you doing here?
Only Testament could take a song this great and give it bigger testicles. The true kings of metal.
Man Chuck makes this song sound so intense. Love it. Anyone know what tribute this is on? I'd like to see if I could find a copy of this song.
Love this cover! Testament fucking rules
The voice and sounds PERFECT 💯 PLUS 💯. AWESOMELY DONE ✅👍❤️👋👋👋💯
Sometimes it's just played louder, love testament.
This is Actually Jake E. Lee with Chuck Billy. Sounds like it could definitely be Testament though.
are you sure about that? i think is sckolnic and peterson.
@@Andreewguitar It's true, this was on a MEtallica tribute album called Metallic assault. Lots of collaborations, it's a great album if you can find it. The version of Battery with Erik AK and Dave Lomboardo is epic

Besides, if it was Skolnick, the Solo would blow your eardrums with pure awesome.
Holy SHIT.
Wow.
No words can describe the awesomeness of this.
God, can they make any song, original or cover, a bad one?
This is fucking amazing, and their new album just was in-fucking-credible.
I should change my name to Testamentrox9...lol
HELL FUCKING YEAH!!! The Formation Of Damnation really takes Thrash back to it's roots!
actually this band remaind me alot of metallica...little bit harder but the singers voices are almoust same to me....love this band
amazing cover
This song appeared on the Metallic Assault tribute to Metallica. The musicians are: Chuck Billy (voice Testament), Jake E. Lee (Guitar) Jimmy Bain (Bass, Dio) Aynsley Dunbar (Drum).
Amen that that, Alex is amazing! I was shocked when I went and saw TSO for the first time and find out he is one of the members.

This and Cannibal Corpse's version of No Remorse are the best Metallica covers out there.
Amazing....clean...very cool
I m a deeeeeep kill em all Ride Master And justice Fan .. AND a true Testament Fan ....this cover is a master piece ...the Testament groove ...with a Metallica Hit Song ....Seek and Destroy under Cocaine ....

I like this!!
Now THIS is a metallica cover. Better than that mtv icon crap.
