  • These are my top 3 printable upgrades for the Creality Ender 5. These are very easy to print and install. You will need some bolts and nuts to install the stabilizer arms. You can find a bold and nut kit in the Amazon storefront below under the 3D Printer Tools section. Everything else goes on without any extra parts! I printed everything in PLA and it works great!
    ****UPDATE***
    I put the Bed Supports on the wrong side of the bed and the struts Should be on the inside of the bed as seen in the Thingiverse Link! I missed that when I filmed it and that's my bad.

    I want to thank you for your videos! They really helped me decide which printer I wanted to receive for my birthday. After watching your vids with my wife, your excitement and appreciation Ender 5 Pro solidified my decision. I unboxed and built it last night in about 30 mins and started printing these mods. Please add more Ender 5 Pro vids when you are able or would appreciate any recommendation on vids to watch to keep growing my new 3D skills! You rock!

    At 5:18, don't tighten the bolts down until you get all four in, and then tighten them down in a star pattern to avoid accidentally snapping the support cap from the torque on the bolts

    Thank you for the videos you are putting out. I have recently acquired (bought) an ender 3v2 and an ender 5 pro. Watching your videos made getting my printers up and running a breeze. The upgrades for the bed supports took some time to print, but they are so worth it. As of this comment I am printing the back cover for my ender 5 pro. Thank you again for the videos that you are doing and please keep up the great work.

    I love my Ender 5 Pro, but I did find it disappointing that those three things were not included from factory. The strain relief and cover for the LCD in particular. Just looks unfinished without them. After I did an initial test print in PLA I printed the "upgrades" in PETG. Super easy. It makes the printer look complete

    PLA is great, but over time with the heat on the underside could soften the PLA allowing that sag to happen. just a thought

    • @systemx17
      @systemx17 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Had mine for about 8 months now, running bed up to 80c at times. No impact so far and I used really cheap PLA when I made them. It seems like the heated bed is too far away from the struts to really impact them at all. The are not even slightly warm to the touch after a print. I think if you were running enclosed it would be a completely different story.

The techisians ( if you can call them thechs) suggest that is not a problem , that i can use (imagine) 4 sheets of paper. So the bed is like 8 layers in the middle down from the rest. Pushing the strut end with bolts up (4:53) is wrong. The lower they are, the better support they provide.
    Shortly, the ideal struts are vertical ones under the free end of the bed but this is impossible for obvious reasons. Increasing the strut angle getting it closer to the "ideal strut". Decreasing i.e. moving the end with bolts up does the opposite thing.
