Back when entering the movie theater or arcade hit you with raw sfx punches explosions machine guns racing tires squealing 16 and 32 bit voice overs digital soundtracks blasting from all directions at once! The smell of popcorn and junk food! Such nostalgia everyone who was born after this era of entertained truly missed out and words can't explain.
I tell that to my kids all the time. Getting dropped off at the mall in the mid ‘80’s and then driving to the mall in the early ‘90’s was the best thing ever. You could spend three hours in the mall and have the best Friday or Saturday night ever. Man I miss the old days. My brother and I spent many quarters in Aladdin’s Castle playing this and numerous other games. By the way, Colossus was my favorite X-Man. My late brother loved Wolverine.

I only played this game once in the arcade, and never again. Not because I didn't like it, but because I didn't get to enjoy it in the manner I wanted to. My parents only gave me four quarters. But after finally getting my chance to play this game for the first time in over 30 years, I was able to enjoy it in its entirety. And its just SO satisfying to plow through the enemies, defeat the bosses, and beat Magneto at the end. This is such a satisfying game.

This was one of my favorite arcade games next to the TMNT four player. I had it on Playstation when it was released on the Store. Fun game. One feature that I whole-heartedly enjoyed was being able to attack an enemy while they were down. I wish more multiplayer games had that. Edit: one other thing I will add. This is clearly the Japanese version of the game. The U.S. version did not drop energy pills.
Nightcrawler jumping on the enemies stomachs always had me laughing. Cyclops and dazzler I think were the only ones that had the same animation of kicking them. Proof cyclops has always been a loser 😂

In my chilfhood years,the actual first time I saw this this game , its thevsane time i now knowing about the X-Men. I thought wolverine was Cat scratcher. i could beat it with 2 or 3 quarters.
I was/am able to play the first level without getting hit and the second level without dying. But after that,... yeah, it definitely got harder.

Came out on Xbox marketplace and PlayStation for a short time and was delisted along with Simpsons. Haven't seen it since.

@@kingjaven13 I bought this and Simpsons day one cause I knew they would pull some bullshit eventually and they did. I've been mad about the delisting for awhile now. I wanna say it was before Disney marvel merger so licensing had nothing to do with it. Idk....fuck Konami.

In my chilfhood years,the actual first time I saw this this game , its thevsane time i now knowing about the X-Men.
I thought wolverine was Cat scratcher.
The Wendigo boss fight, i kinda remember he was saying " Youre gonna dead, youre gonna dead." With growls even , its like he was movingband dancing in time with the boss soundtrack playing in the background during the fight. Later on in my
teenage years - I learned better lolol
For those of you that don't know this was the game that was based off the original pilot that eventually led to X-Men the animated series which is now X-Men 97. That is why it has the exact same characters as the original pilot
So glad they incorporated the features from the Japanese version of X-Men, the Energy & Mutant Power restore items.
This game ate all my allowance as a kid 🤣💀🤣
