Water Margin has to mention that the game is just a "re-skin" of the game Knights of the Round by Capcom. The entire game was made by copying Knights of the Round frame by frame. Hey, Brave Battle Saga. Not only do I have several ROMs of it, it's being sold on Steam. I thought that FF7 for the NES was a rumour but apparently not. Great and informative video BTW.
I love how scuffed Zook Hero Z's box art looks. It _almost_ looks right, but all the artwork is mismatched, and Bright Man and Dust Man are duplicated for some reason.
17:03 No, what are you talking about? I immediately recognize Knight of the Round and Warrior of Fate bootleg sprites, those games were pretty popular back then.
To the unfamiliar, the Dragon Ball brawler at 0:03 is called Dragon Bowl, by the Korean studio Nics. On top of being an unlicensed Dragon Ball game, it uses the engine of the Ninja Gaiden arcade game without Tecmo's permission.
The Water Margin game gives off Knights of the Round/King of Dragons Beat 'em UP vibes with how the enemies look too Now I REALLY want to play Brave Battle Saga as well...

@@st1ka i feel like it's because those said reviewers feel like they need to make what's being reviewed the most shameless as possible the concept of bootleg is when you either steal assets from already existing games or make a game that advertises itself to be a game that uses a certain property that doesn't belong to you and bootlegs are also generally sold so then you have something that takes stuff from other places, and is sold it also has to be bad in order to the review to work, or else people would talk about how it's a hidden gem and all

ooh thank you for the sugestion!
Evil Stones graphics are very appealing it looks awesome.
The Game Water Margin did have an official release. It's called Knights of the Round, and it was made by Capcom. Water Margin is just a reskin of that game. You should totally play Knights of the Round. It's one of the most fun arcade hack n slashes ever made.
i love these good old MIDI-Sounds
Hey, Brave Battle Saga. Not only do I have several ROMs of it, it's being sold on Steam.
I thought that FF7 for the NES was a rumour but apparently not.
Great and informative video BTW.
Glad you liked it! :D
Mig 29 reminds me a lot of Raptor Call of the Shadows, which can only be a good thing.
I wonder what you would consider Final Fight LNS Ultimate to be. It is basically a fan-made Final Fight at its core, but has a LOT added to it.
Ótimo vídeo, St1ka! O conteúdo que você traz sempre vlw a espera.
Muito obrigado! :D
The Water Margin game gives off Knights of the Round/King of Dragons Beat 'em UP vibes with how the enemies look too
Now I REALLY want to play Brave Battle Saga as well...
If you do, I hope you'll enjoy them :D
45:28 got to love the 8-Bit sound for this game
I love your coverage of good bootleg games. On youtube, it's hard to learn about good bootlegs bc all too many videos end up being some american guy playing the cheapest and most broken pokemon-themed sonic romhack in the world while spewing sinophobic bile for 40 minutes. It's always a pleasure to see someone give the subject the time of day
As someone who grew up playing bootlegs, it often bothered me how all bootleg coverage on TH-cam was always done in bad faith
@@st1ka i feel like it's because those said reviewers feel like they need to make what's being reviewed the most shameless as possible
the concept of bootleg is when you either steal assets from already existing games or make a game that advertises itself to be a game that uses a certain property that doesn't belong to you
and bootlegs are also generally sold
so then you have something that takes stuff from other places, and is sold
it also has to be bad in order to the review to work, or else people would talk about how it's a hidden gem and all
