I have the 2023 Hybrid Accord Sport-L in Urban Gray with Matte black rims. I get compliments left and right all the time, I’m so obsessed with it right now
I don’t understand why Honda keeps pushing out these Accords with no standard Blind Sport Warning. I know they’re on a shortage, but it’s ridiculous to see base model Hyundai Elantras and equivalent cars have safety features like this standard, for basically almost half the price of these new Accords. Way too overpriced.
I was told there is a shortage of the chips needed for the BSMs. I had them on my Toyota and it's been a bit of a re-learning thing for me, but the Accord has much better visibility than my RAV4 did. They also have aftermarket BSMs that can be installed and I'm thinking about doing that, but I love my new Accord!!
I just got mine a couple weeks ago in the Sport L trim (urban grey) as well, some do come with BSI and some don't due to the shortage of chips. The ones that have them obviously are worth more. I can tell you that these accords look way better in person and I'm a bit surprised at how quick they are. Great on gas too, gets 46 city miles! Interior looks awesome IMO, can't go wrong with this one.
Dude if this accord had a panoramic moon roof instead of a sunroof an a hatchback instead of regular trunk an added awd, with atleast 300hp. This car would be amazing
I bought a 2023 sport at the beginning of March. I LOVE it! Still learning all the little things it can do (because I hate to read). Personally I think they are sporty and the nicest looking Accord yet. It rides nice (I've driven almost 6,000 miles in a month so definitely know) and the estimated mileage is pretty much right on. I had a tailwind on the highway last weekend and averaged 50 mpg over 60 miles on the highway. I was afraid a hybrid would take off slow but it has plenty of power. It has a pretty comfy ride and lots of leg room, even good in the back seats. Both husband and I are relatively tall (6' 2" and 5' 9") with long legs and it has more front leg room than his Camaro. I did have a hard time finding anything other than white, silver or, IMO, the ugly gray. I wanted a red Sport-L but it was a demo that couldn't be sold for 2 more months, so I went ahead and bought one that is Still Night Blue, the bright metallic blue. They also have a blue that is almost a navy but they didn't have one, and I didn't want that color anyway. Honda gives you 3 years maintenance then my dealer throws in another 3 years worth. All the dealers seem to be adding the "pulse" braking that I've seen anywhere from $300 - $900 (I got away without it). It sucks that it doesn't have blind spot monitors since I'm used to them but it definitely has fewer blind spots than what I'm used to. The only thing I don't like (and I had the exact same issue with my Toyota) is the lane assist. The wheel fights you and it will bounce you back and forth between the lines. The only car that did not do that was a Hyundai Sonata I had rented for a month. I gave up a lot of space (that I don't really need) when I traded in my RAV4, but I gained a sporty looking ride that still fits all four grandkids, including two teenagers. I'm 99% satisfied, with the only complaints being it doesn't have leather seats (good luck finding a trim that does - they are very scarce) and the lane assist, so I just don't use it. If I ever trade it in you can just about bet it will be on another Accord hybrid.
Nice... Im picking up my hybrid sport L. Black on black. I waited 2 weeks for it. The dealer said they sell fast. I'm excited more about the quiet ride. I like the clean look of this model.
I think Honda focus on the cost reduction in this model, look at those cheap materials on exterior and interior compared to the previous models, ppl buy it anyway because of the brand value, no one can deny the reliability.
Cost cutting and penny pinching is really downgrading this car. No driver rear seat pockets and no Sirius XM? Instead of adding features, you’re removing features while increasing the cost. Unbelievable…
And that almost $4k mark up for non existent window tints and equipment which can be bought for much less by the customer. I hope no one falls for that crap from yet another stealership.
boooooo. great review my brother but I'm still in love with my 2018 accord with the 2.0 turbo 6 SPEED MANUAL. if i could have one thing from the 2023 version into my 2018 will be the full screen cluster display, other than that there’s nothing else i would change about my car
There is no plastic cladding on the wheel wells, the sides, and bumpers. Also, unlike a Subaru - you can probably drive it without the standard feature of the check engine light of a Subaru either. (Former Honda owner, currently a pissed off Subaru owner.)
So you mean to tell me I still don’t get rear ac even though they’ve managed to cheap out everywhere else what the hell is wrong with them how is that complained about by owners
You get the most boring car on the market. Honda managed to make a brand new old car. They need to chuck this one up as a loss, head back to the drawing board and DO BETTER!!!
I think it's the best looking Accord yet. I'm used to sports cars though, Camaros and Vettes. To me it has a similar, sleek looking profile, and handles the curves as well as my husband's Camaro.
Is it me or did someone put to palm dents on the hood of the car while trying to close it. You can see it starting at 1 min 28 seconds into the video. Ruined the car!!!
They made the accord boring. It's no longer a car for younger enthusiasts and that's probably what Honda was going for. I love my '22 2.0T Accord in SGP with all of the performance and cosmetic mods I've done to them. Great review as always, but I think my next car is definitely European. (I'm 23 so I still like fast, sleek, and tunable)
You get NOTHING but overpriced boring and flat look with no engine power that has generic look like vw passat or Ford fusion look. Honda is going backwards with their car designs . With that price i can get the base model of ACURA.
A very expensive ugly loaf of bread…The K5 is a better value compared to this garbage with a front end only a mother would love. They didn’t even try with the design. Just threw in the towel from the gate. Honda probably got cheap part time designers from Pontiac Aztek and and Nissan Cube era. 😢
This car is bland design. The Honda Accord "Inspire " Looks like a Mercedes AMG. Even the tail lights are better. The grill is chromed out. The Japanese kept the " Better" Accord
Honda is turning to nightmare. I was a fan of Honda and this boxer design just turned me off completely. The front grill is the ugliest design I have ever seen in vehicles in ages. It's even uglier than the Priuses and new Elantras. Omg

Love Hondas for durability. Not blown away with design. Have 140k on 2012 Accord . 19 inch wheels a nice touch.
Looks like an undercover cop car in my opinion
Or a taxi cab. 😣
@@kellyaustin7487 💯
Just got a sliver hybrid sport-L and absolutely loving it. Compared to my 2021 Camry the ride is so much smoother IMO
Honda really drop the ball this year
Agreed I have a 2018 turbo sport, by far a better performing and Aesthetically better looking vehicle than this new generation..
They went conservative and missing features!! Can't get passed that bland grill with no chrome accents anywhere!!
I have both 2019 2.0t and the new sport L. The 2.0T is not much faster. The Sport L rides better.
@@dangerspots1the Accord is meant to be a daily driven car, never a sports car or anywhere near it.
I TOTALLY agree. Perhaps the ride & handling compensates for lack of appearance.😂

I was in a dealership the other week and they said it has to do with a contract with the producer of the blindspot sensor company.
That’s exactly what I was thinking to myself. Honda is finessing people at a premium price, we taking about Acura even almost Lexus territory. Crazy!

@@tcorp5089 We just bought one in red. I love it.
I don't have Blind Spot Warning, was told that the chip was unreliable.
Just got mine, urban grey, absolutely love it
Congratulations on your purchase!
It looks bad compared to the 2018-2022 Accord !
Dude if this accord had a panoramic moon roof instead of a sunroof an a hatchback instead of regular trunk an added awd, with atleast 300hp. This car would be amazing
Keep dreaming lol
Overpriced. Great Review though.

I loved Accord but i really shock with new 2023.exterior ,2022 design better look. I ran to dealer to see it and fell sad . I wish Honda listen to me
Hi, what is the warranty for the hybrid system.
8 years or 100k on the batteries.
Definitely overpriced
Saw one on the road today, that hood is too dang LONG
They also nerfed so many features like the mirror side markers, Rear vents, and fog lights, etc.
Yes noticed the same thing. Can fit a V8 under that hood.
Matter fact the whole car was massive. Crown Vic like.
@@Alumnikiid 😂
They've been selling out at all dealerships. Just got mine in Sport L in the urban grey color with BSI, it's awesome.

Overpriced. Needs rear vents.
Yeah, $32K+ car and rear air vent? Come on Honda.
Agreed
Thought the same when I tested one out yesterday.
Sucks that dealerships are selling for 39k
Just a few $1000 more and one could move up to luxury cars. This new Accord is very overpriced.
Everybody knows the city mpg is higher than hwy in hybrids
You could go to any other manufacturer a much better car for the same price.
And that almost $4k mark up for non existent window tints and equipment which can be bought for much less by the customer. I hope no one falls for that crap from yet another stealership.
Looks like a 10 year old Ford Taurus rental car
Unfortunately overpriced, K5 probably a better option........
Much better. Even the Toyota Camry or Hyundai sonata is a better option than this.
styling is better except for the front end
Can't believe there are no rear vents like wtf
They are under the front seats
So proud of you, Tom!
Thank you, Patti!
Great review for the 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid Sport L

What do you get? I’ll tell ya what ya get the 2024 Sonata
This horrible design has to be some sort of Jedi mind trick to get folks to buy the Acura sedan instead...
Hondas not getting my money on the new Accord. Totally trash without the 2.0t!!
This accord look like police interceptor every angle beside the rear
To be Frank, the car looks like Subaru designed it instead of Honda. Honda definitely dropped the Ball ☹️

I’ll stick with my naturally aspirated 2.4 2014 accord sport with no issues.
Oookkkkaaayyyyy.
35k with a hood prop. Smh
Is that a Honda or a Saab
Me dont like this gen. Last gen pushed the envelope. We expected more but got less. 34K for that backseat? I will pass

I love Hondas, but would never buy a hybrid from them, Only Toyota know how to make long last reliable hybrids.
Ugly design, poor performance and cheaper materials for fit and finish that’s what you get.
This design is the least sporty accord of all time
Uninspired design. Cheap-looking. Agree with others, overpriced.
Go drive a civic then
I think it's the best looking Accord yet. I'm used to sports cars though, Camaros and Vettes. To me it has a similar, sleek looking profile, and handles the curves as well as my husband's Camaro.

Why would Honda make the Accord even uglier? And so overpriced! 🙈
