Six Flags Mexico was never granted the permit to build the ride. So now, this coaster is looking for it's third possible home at Cedar Point. BTW can't you just tell those positive G's at the bottom of the main curved drop are going to be CRUSHING, I am predicting potential grey out, then flowing straight into ejector hill. I have been looking at the whole layout on other vids and that triple down looks super sweet too. I think this one is going to be a real surprise - absolutely impeccably smooth and a mix of crushing positives, hangtime, floater and ejector. Total banger.
When I first saw this announcement I immediately thought to myself, "Why wouldn't they put this in the vortex plot?" glad I'm not the only one to think that.
I’m stoked for this ride! If I can ride this and TT2 next year, then that’s gonna be amazing. I agree that cedar point absolutely needs to open on time. If not, that looks bad for the TT2 reasons, but also thats definitely not going to give people much faith in the newly merged company. I think people want to hope that the chain will be run like Cedar Fair and not Six Flags. The fact that this is not opening on day 1 does give me Six Flags vibes, so hopefully construction goes as planned and 2025 is a killer year for Cedar Point and Six Flags in general.
honest thought is this. if this somehow magically opens before the end of may i'll be jumping for joy when i visit. if it doesn't then oh darn and i'll catch a ride in the future.
I'm generally inclined to believe that this was SF Mexico's new coaster....but it seems odd to me that SF Mexico didn't know they couldn't remove the trees until relatively recently. That being said though, I do feel like this should have been given to a different park where it could stand out more as a headliner than just another gimicky, if still kickass in layout, coaster in Cedar Point's lineup. Like, a new B&M stand-up or an Intamin Straddle coaster could have more than done the job at nearly the same cost, while giving CF something new to experience (or experience again but better in the Stand-ups case).
I am excited for this ride. It looks really fun. I think this is the same ride that was seen in Mexico. I think the biggest clue that this wasn't originally intended for Cedar Point is the lack of a mid-course brake run. Perhaps it was just a happy accident that they were able to fit it in that spot near the marina. Otherwise, wouldn't you paint a coaster water spirit themed aqua or some other shades of blue?
Even if this wasn't a late announcement, given the location and what they have to do, they couldn't start much till the park closes. So, they aren't going to being do anything but survey work, which in actuality thru the summer multiple times there were people in the old dorm lot doing stuff. ..The construction spot is in location that they need along the midway in the park and they can't have the road closed to start the things needed to reroute it during Halloweekends. They need access to the cabins/rv park and the water park parking lot. They can't really start that much till the park closes Nov 2nd, hence the early summer opening date given.
RCDB doesn't list a definition of what makes a coaster. They are just a database, not a sanctioning body. I asked their top guy and he said "It doesn't feel like a coaster, and is too similar to regular Zamperla Disk-O's. Pipe Scream is an extended Zamperla Disk-O, and isn't powered the whole ride. It rolls on a track, it uses gravity and coasts. It can valley between the 2 small hills, unlike a full time powered coaster. There are models by other manufacturers just like Pipe Scream that RCDB counts as coasters. Intamin half pipes are counted as coasters. Some people count powered coasters as credits, but in actuality, you just rode a slow moving train! I've ridden over 700 coasters in the US and Canada. I count Pipe Scream and Surf Dog as coasters because they fit the definition. I don't count Larson Loops, they are flat rides with a train bolted to the track.
I was starting to get a little worried that they weren’t actually the roller coaster capital of the world anymore but this definitely solidifies it. So excited for this even though I wish the color scheme was different to match a water theme and that it actually had theming but it’s most likely the one that was supposed to go to Mexico so I can’t say I’m surprised
Have to wonder if CP was originally eyeing a Vekoma family launched coaster for the dorm plot. After investing in the TT2 upgrades, they probably would have waited about 5 years for another major thrill coaster. If a custom Tilt was under consideration (per the season pass survey) it probably would have replaced Corkscrew later. So bizarre there weren't any survey markings this year, though
As many others I am perplexed. I get the why as was meantioned because of the Elaphant in the room. Which has lead us all to wonder is Cedar Point not at its best? And to be honest while I like the idea of a tilt coaster coming to Cedar Point to potentially save itself from the terany of TT2, ... any other park could have gotten a tilt coaster like this. While yes this is a great addition for Cedar Point and I get that they have spent alot of money on TT2 and now adding in Sirens Cruise I still feel that Cedar Point is and has sold themselves short of this being the best tilt coaster in North America. What if in the next 5 - 10 years we see another park open a + 200 ft tall tilt coaster with 4+ inversions on it? While Coatland's isnt as tall it will have 4 inversions on it 2 more than Cedar Point. This kinda feels like a slap in the face for Cedar Point which is "The roller coaster capitol of the world". I honestly feel like Cedar Point had to sell themselves short of less than there best because of the failures of TT2.
I wonder what the odds are that they'll have it open in time for CoasterMania next year. If they wait to announce the date for the event, we'll know it's going to be open later.... I hope it is, since it will be my first CM in over a decade! I can't wait for your reactions to Eejanaika! Have a blast!
I don’t count Top Thrill 2 as a new coaster (it’s pretty much just extended the already existing Top Thrill Dragster) but as a new version of the coaster (regardless though based on the 2 experiences style) I would probably count this as 2 credits or a 1.5 credit with the already existing Top Thrill 1 and the extended part with the new Top Thrill 2 elements.
My only regret about this is the with the closing of the water ride and the theme of a Siren, I really hoped this should have been a water ride or water coaster. The park needs more water rides. It would be cool to see a decently themed water coaster in the vein of Journey to Atlantis at SeaWorld San Diego but maybe with a larger layout and a bit more on ride theming (though I wouldn't expect the Orlando version because that isn't Cedar Point's style.)
IMHO I was planning on going to CP this upcoming year and I definitely will be now. They honestly could use another coaster with a smaller height requirement because there's only a handful of coasters there that have a 48in height requirement.
to the people saying that kings island should've gotten it where vortex was at i'd say "haven't you been seeing what they've been doing to the son of beast station? they removed wolf pack from halloween haunt and touched up the queue and station so they're clearly planning on doing something there, the vortex spot has to wait"
It should also be noted that Siren's Curse red colour doesn't match the aquatic theme, nor does it make a very nice contrast to Valravn's similarly reddish colour. It does match the one at SF Mexico though...
Energylandia's model was released it was the cliffhanger design of the tilt(45 meters height-147ft), in contrast Cotaland;s is the smaller Pitfall design(40 meter height -131ft) Siren's is 160ft, so doesn't fit the height specs of exactly, But matches the speed of the cliffhanger model of 58mph. the elements, the tunnel and the 24 person trains, it's a cliffhanger model and they might be elevating the support structure to 160ft
This was definitely not planned for CP and it was definitely Energylandia’s (then Six Flags Mexico’s) tilt coaster. The color scheme tells it all (because why on earth would a siren/water themed ride be red??)
This was a very out of left field announcement and it is very odd, however, I am beyond excited for this! Without a question this will be a fantastic ride! It’s just odd that CP would build it, let alone next to Valravn which basically does the same thing…
I got on top thrill 2 back in may when it was operating, so I don’t feel slighted by cedar point, but this was a genuine surprise. Still think kings island is a better park tho
Idk why everyone is hating on this. Cedar point is THE coaster park. It being a new type of coaster just makes sense. Never been or planning to go to Mexico ever, way too dangerous!
Seeing CP get a tilt coaster and KD getting a wing launch coaster. I'm curious and excited to see what coaster KI will get next. Got my fingers crossed for 2026 but tbh I wouldn't be shocked if we don't see it till 2027 or 2028.
Yeah I wasn’t happy getting to see the lawn ornament of TT2 and not being able to ride it, and hopefully this tilt coaster is open for the summer of 2025
Two questions: 1. What's yall's thoughts on the color choices? I don't know if I love the red, I feel like a blue or green would have translated to the theme better. 2. Do you see any theming being added similar to steel yard's theming?

I cant wait for my home park to get a tilt coaster, Fortunately I did get to ride top thrill 2 on the second day it was open to the public, It was awsome
I feel like Cedar Fair/Six always makes huge announcements when CoasterStudios is out of country!
This was a total surprise.
Glad I got passes for Cedar Point for 2025. Highly recommend the all park add on.
I can't wait to try what would be my very first tilt-coaster with this ride!! New coaster credit!! 😊
as someone who has ridden gravity max i am so exited. the tilt is very fun.
Nice tan! Looks like Asia is having some great weather!
very sunny and hot haha
honest thought is this. if this somehow magically opens before the end of may i'll be jumping for joy when i visit. if it doesn't then oh darn and i'll catch a ride in the future.
This is the Energylandia one. We did get art of it and it was exactly this layout down to the last detail.
The layout for Siren’s Curse does match the animations for the Energylandia tilt coaster
Having a tilt coaster next to a dive coaster is like SFNE having a Deja Vu clone next to their standard Boomerang
They are completely different rides lol
@ no they aren’t
@@karlstrauss2330 They have completely different layouts 🤣
@ not really though
15:07 *18th. I don't care what the park or anyone else says, Pipe Scream is not a roller coaster
Agreed, not a coaster.
Still waiting for that Mack extreme spinner…. Didn’t have a tilt coaster on my bingo card though! Absolutely bonkers!
Just a reminder that Valleyfair hasn't gotten a new coaster since 2007. Nice one Cedar Fair
there markers in the parking lot by the old dorms, not much, but some. summer officially starts June 20th, so they have till then till get it done
Excited to try it at Cedar Point but I also can’t help thinking this would have been a perfect new coaster for Valleyfair.
I wonder what the odds are that they'll have it open in time for CoasterMania next year. If they wait to announce the date for the event, we'll know it's going to be open later.... I hope it is, since it will be my first CM in over a decade!
I can't wait for your reactions to Eejanaika! Have a blast!
I reckon it will rank between valraven and gatekeeper in my CP list. That first inversion looks wild
Which of the two do you have higher? This looks better than both IMO.
@@danmucciarelli5916 I have valraven lower and gatekeeper higher.
I hope to see you guys next year riding it we ran into eachother earlier this year at TT2
Hello I’m probably gonna make a video about this today. Nice video.
I still stand by 2026 will be Kings Islands big year and I hope its some sort of intense multi launch coaster
It makes sense to debut America’s first major next generation Vekoma at Cedar Point.
They were surveying the lot a month ago. The reason they cant start heavy construction is the road. They will start in November.
Would have preferred a Vekoma flying closer but this is cool!
I’m surprised but not too surprised I had this on my mind a few years back but this is still awesome
IMHO I was planning on going to CP this upcoming year and I definitely will be now. They honestly could use another coaster with a smaller height requirement because there's only a handful of coasters there that have a 48in height requirement.
I so want to go to Cedar Point next summer!! Also how I wish I could travel the world to ride roller coasters!!🥹
to the people saying that kings island should've gotten it where vortex was at
i'd say "haven't you been seeing what they've been doing to the son of beast station? they removed wolf pack from halloween haunt and touched up the queue and station so they're clearly planning on doing something there, the vortex spot has to wait"
haunt lanterns
None of that means they're adding anything to the area around the sob station
It’s literally Halloween haunt. They are probably just changing it up
It should also be noted that Siren's Curse red colour doesn't match the aquatic theme, nor does it make a very nice contrast to Valravn's similarly reddish colour. It does match the one at SF Mexico though...
I will say, when I think of sirens, it’s definitely not red. This coaster looks epic for sure though!
@Random_Eebs I mean Mexico in general. Not taking a chance on my safety. You don't see that in Europe or Canada. I feel the same about Saudi Arabia.
@@tylerrusnak7736 You are differently a very closed minded person
Seeing CP get a tilt coaster and KD getting a wing launch coaster. I'm curious and excited to see what coaster KI will get next. Got my fingers crossed for 2026 but tbh I wouldn't be shocked if we don't see it till 2027 or 2028.
This would honestly be a better fit for Six Flags Over Texas
Kings island better get something good in the vortex plot of land cause they could of got this
Love the coaster idea but change the color from red to light blue
Nice talk!👍 Are you gonna test Mack "Beyond the cloud"Suzhou amusement park?🙏
not on this trip, but one day we'd love to!
It is the Energylandia one....the concept art was the same exact layout lol
This is the one they build for Energylandia 😊
Siren's Curse look like it will be fun and cool.
So Cedar Point got the Wildcat replacement before KI got the Vortex replacement
I agree it’s an odd decision putting a tilt and a dive next to each other.
Yeah I wasn’t happy getting to see the lawn ornament of TT2 and not being able to ride it, and hopefully this tilt coaster is open for the summer of 2025
Am I the only one who remembers that this was on the survey?
Two questions:
1. What's yall's thoughts on the color choices? I don't know if I love the red, I feel like a blue or green would have translated to the theme better.
2. Do you see any theming being added similar to steel yard's theming?
low to the ground zero-g and barrel rolls are the way to go.
It was just so unexpected like cedar point was just like OHHHH REALLY CHEEP ROLLER COASTER I’LL BUY!!!!!!
