Ok, everyone is saying that It makes no sense for the tilt coaster to be right next to Valravn, but picture this: a dueling shot where both coasters drop at the same time. If the Siren Ops have some communication with the Valravn Ops, they could make this happen pretty consistently and it could be spectacular
It would be cool but the drops are going to face away from each other so it would be difficult to get an off ride shot of this without a drone and people on either ride would not be able to see the other drop.
Yeah and best case it can help split the crowds between the 2, so that it kinda evens out. Now people have got 2 choices for big coasters where you hang over the drop, just in different flavours, and people can choose easily depending on their preference or which ones line is shorter. Its still an odd choice for the park but it could work with guest flow synergy.
This ride will take everyone by surprise. The tilt will be a million times better than the holding brake. On board audio and lighting package will be fantastic. But the low to the ground speed and twists will take this to another level. A new park favorite
This is very intriguing considering fact the fact that CP had a tilt coaster listed in their survey that released a few months back as a Hyper Tilt, as if it was ment to compete with SFQ’s Iron Rattler or overtake its record. I don’t really mind its colors that is used even though the red and dark grey color scheme maybe overwhelmingly used a lot, but overall, it’s very exciting to see the US having another tilt coaster and it being Energylandia’s canceled tilt coaster finding its new home at a different park instead of it being scrapped completely since it’s one of the 3 scrapped projects SF had bought out since last year
Right after I became jealous of Canada's Wonderland's announcement, Cedar Point (my home park) all of the sudden announces something almost as large. This will be a great fit, I love that layout. Even though it's just under 3,000 ft of track, it doesn't look short at all! I think it will be different enough compared to Valravn to stand out and be its own ride.
Taylor, you nailed every single point, no pun intended LOL.. here's my hot take, in 2026 we very well can see a modern wooden coaster to replace Snake River Falls..... if you notice, Cedar Point has placed emphasis on being the roller coaster capital of the world in their Siren's Curse announcement. Overall, I'm excited that the new generation vekoma are coming to the states!
Here's a hot take: how about we give that "2026 coaster" to a park that could actually use it? There's a good handful of parks in the chain that have gone over a decade since their last coaster...

Even more, I'm a merchant mariner on the great lakes , so every time we do Sandusky we pass Cedar Point ay! gives me the chills every time hehe
Keep in mind on the underground tunnel section, if you go to nearby Put-In-Bay, they have underground caves you can tour. You can go pretty far underground without a fear of water creating a hazard, so as long as they concrete that tunnel really well, it shouldn't be a problem. I'm more concerned with the flooding that happens during big storms, over by TTD2. Hopefully they can get a good drainage system to accommodate this tunnel.
I actually think Sirens drop will be better than Valravn’s. I haven’t experienced this, but I very much think this will feel like an impulse with a holding brake, or a drop tower with a tilt, like actophobia at SFOG or Falcons Fury. You’re just held up by your restraint staring straight at the ground and suddenly you’re falling in 0 Gs. Depending on how sudden the drop is, it could be pretty unforgettable.
This coaster looks really good. This is like Cedar Point of the early 2000’s, a new ride/ ride experience each year. Valravn as a cool first drop but the ride as a whole is ok. I recently went and found Rougaru to be a better ride (although it could use the comfort vest imo) but with 1/10th of the wait time. The other plus of both this and TT2 being open, less wait times for all other rides.
I feel like the back row might be better than the front row. During the tilt, you’ll be lifted up, not dropped down. That alone is going to be a different feeling than most coasters give. Then it’s a longer drop than the front row. Just my thoughts
There are other parks like Kings Island, Six Flags Darien Lake, Six Flags America, Six Flags St. Louis, Valleyfair, and La Ronde that have space for this ride. Even parks that just got a new coaster like Dorney Park, Carowinds, and Six Flags Great Adventure have space for this ride. I say add new coasters to all those parka next.
@evil_icicle On top of what mitchellries256 said, two coasters are rumored to be closing at Great Adventure. (One of them is bad news for everyone - thankfully it's not El Toro - and the other, many aren't gonna miss that fondly lol)
I definitely agree that is good as this is in making the park even better, other parks in the chain needed this investment way more than Cedar Point did.
Definitely the great addition for Cedar Point, it will be one of the best in the park, the layout just screams Benjamin Bloemendaal, from the tilt track, the first airtime hill, a barrel roll, the non inverting loop, and multiple airtime moments, not sure if this is designed by him or not, but either way, this along with Top Thrill 2 reopening next year makes for one hell of a 2025 season, how stacked can Cedar Point be? Also, Six Flags Mexico also needs this, although the permits wouldn't grant that but maybe we can dream.
I could see this coster being one of the park's best! It looks really good! But yeah, I think that the circumstances that they received it and will put it in a random area isn't ideal...
I think the drop moment airtime wise will be simular to the drop of a vekoma boomerang, as the use a simular hooking mechanism at the end of the train (with the tilt coaster ofcourse having an additionele set of safety mechanims like the stopping block in the front.

My sister - a coaster fanatic, but not as big as me - has been a bit... worried about this coaster based on what comments on it have been saying in regards to it "looking like a death trap." That said, she knows I have the kind of autism where coasters are my special interest, so she told me if I think it's safe, she'll ride it with me. For the past 48hrs I've been sending her informational videos and POVs of Gravity Max
Does anyone else find it funny that 2 of the 3 big Vekoma thrill coasters coming to the US have essentially done so thanks to bargain leftover deals? Both this and Flash were like "Yeah we have a cancelled order from elsewhere, do you want it at a discount?" Either way its great for enthusiasts and I know Vekoma is good at dealmaking with parks. I know that for Fårup Sommerland, they were able to give that park more bang for their buck by delaying Fønix, but in return offering a family boomerang which became Saven at a heavily discounted rate so that this park had something more short term to please guests with. Its great to see them use some of that salesman smoothness to really get established in the North American market again.
Keep in mind that there was a scrapped Intamin project SF bought out that goes along with the scrapped Vekomas, in which was the Ultra Surf that was originally supposed to go to Vietnam just like Flash
To those saying this is the six flags Mexico tilt coaster, just know it’s not, the six flags Mexico one has an immelman, this one doesn’t, all this one has is two heart line rolls, it’s just similar.
Wow🎉 Great analysis as always. Leave it to Cedar Point to pull a rabbit out of thier hats, they needed this and they knew it! I truly respect them for taking the bull by the horns and giving the CP loyalists a nice apology gift aftet TT2.... Salute to Cedar point
Yeah, I’m not sure about the name “Sirens’ Curse.” It doesn’t seem to fit Cedar Point very well. I would expect a ride name like that to be at a SeaWorld Park or somewhere more aquatic-themed.
If you watch videos of Cedar Point back in the 60s and 70s, you'll see so many trees and even an additional sky ride that went thru Frontierland. Now it's all steel and concrete. 😢
If you’re not going to lift a finger to theme the rides, then at least protect the landscape. I mean, otherwise,it ends up looking like a parking lot at a carnival.
Cedar point being cedar fairs main park I understand why they did this but I don't think they needed this. There's other parks that really need a new coaster like valley fair
Are we sure TT2 is actually going to open next year? Or is there a chance that there are some major issues with this new ride and they’re trying to appease the fanbase by giving us a brand new tilt coaster?

My sister - a coaster fanatic, but not as big as me - has been a bit... worried about this coaster based on what comments on it have been saying in regards to it "looking like a death trap." That said, she knows I have the kind of autism where coasters are my special interest, so she told me if I think it's safe, she'll ride it with me. For the past 48hrs I've been sending her informational videos and POVs of Gravity Max
i love the idea of a tilt coaster at CP but i would do something diffrent
do something different like what?
3:51 the closest thing we’re getting to the heart line roll on maverick
Does anyone else find it funny that 2 of the 3 big Vekoma thrill coasters coming to the US have essentially done so thanks to bargain leftover deals? Both this and Flash were like "Yeah we have a cancelled order from elsewhere, do you want it at a discount?"
Either way its great for enthusiasts and I know Vekoma is good at dealmaking with parks.
I am really curious to how these will compare to the Vekoma Bermuda Blitz or Vekoma Wildcat.
Are we getting an episode of CTE today?
To those saying this is the six flags Mexico tilt coaster, just know it’s not, the six flags Mexico one has an immelman, this one doesn’t, all this one has is two heart line rolls, it’s just similar.
It is-Energylandia to Mexico to CP
I am confused with one part is the 160 foot tall is that at the top of the lift hill or is that only in the back seat at the top of the tilt?
I think CP could have saved more trees. They were a major plus for the ambience of the park. Major.
If you’re not going to lift a finger to theme the rides, then at least protect the landscape. I mean, otherwise,it ends up looking like a parking lot at a carnival.
This would have been a great plant over by magnum where the water park is
Still waiting for our new tilt coaster in Mexico City.
Modern Maverick, it’s even similar colors
This ride will open before TT2
Cedar point being cedar fairs main park I understand why they did this but I don't think they needed this. There's other parks that really need a new coaster like valley fair
Still waiting on my Kings Island vekoma 😭
You have a family one but I wouldn't be surprised if a thrill vekoma comes in the next few years.
Same! I want something like Lech coaster or Fonix.
Expect Vekoma's Top Thrill Three in 2026.
Better fix TT2 FIRST!!! LOL
Still keep in mind who have more control of the company
What IF... what IF.... They do this because Top Thrill 2 might not even open in 2025, but 2026 🤯🤯
Looks like something outta thrill ville
Is this the best new coaster in North America opening in 2025?
Alpen fury
@@David51295 hope so. My home park.
Are we sure TT2 is actually going to open next year? Or is there a chance that there are some major issues with this new ride and they’re trying to appease the fanbase by giving us a brand new tilt coaster?
The red track can be your blood being drained or your flesh being eaten… or whatever it is sirens do to end you.
What about if they purchased this coaster as “distraction” in case Top Thrill 2 wont be open and Zamperla is unable to fix the issue?
