  • Visiting Poland can be super cheap but what about its capital, Warsaw? We try our best to wine, dine and get cultured with a budget of just £100 each.
Important to note that we didn't change our normal holidaying habits to keep this under budget because we wanted to show just how much it would cost to go, explore and enjoy a few treats.

Krakow used to be a capital city for many many years back then, and, unlike Warsaw, it has remained in its former beauty. Wroclaw, on the other side, has a lot of German influences as it belonged to Germany for a long time. If you want to get the best look at Polish culture and history, Krakow city is the best choice. Loved the video, I skipped the big cities when I visited Poland a few months ago, but I might just check them out next time I pass through.
I spent 3/4 days in a small Polish town called Wlen over the summer for a photography event. The polish countryside is outrageously beautiful, absolutely the stuff of fantasy novels.
I'm American, and one of my traveling partners is from London, we were both absolutely blown away by how much cheaper everything was there. I already understood exchange rates and costs of living at an academic level, but it didn't really hit me until I went into a general store and saw items I would buy in the US, the numbers on their price tags would be basically the same, but it'd be in a currency worth around 30% of what I'm used to. My first reaction was "wow, I can live like a king here", followed quickly by "wow, they really price gouge us back home".
I spent the weekend at a local BnB, formerly some sort of private mansion (there were un-ironic suits of armor and red velvet chairs in the hallways, vaulted ceilings in the rooms, etc). The nightly cost worked out to around $20 USD per person. Nicest building I've ever slept in, at the price of a BAD hostel. I later learned that others who had booked ahead of time online were paying a much higher (but still cheap) price, so I think we dodged the "foreigner tax" by booking in-person.
If a small town with beautiful surroundings is your kind of vacation, I can't recommend rural Poland highly enough.

Well... It's cheap for you, but as a pole I saw that you were eating at rather expensive places that I would definitely avoid, because normally they are 2-3 times more expensive than some normal places. (And food on that places often don't taste like real polish food. It's more like their own special version of polish dishes that have their own taste)
Also, it's often good to lover a bit your standards of sleeping place so the place won't be some nice hotel but instead some place with more of regional character that normally don't fit international standards. That's just like choosing wooden hut when going into Mounties instead of big hotel. And you save a lot of money on that.
Well... At the end even without saving money everything in Poland will be cheap for you anyway.
