- Here I'll just teardown a GBD-100 series G-Shock watch blue white color scheme to understand even further on this watch construction, materials, and design aspects in and out for our own future references. Eg, how to change GBD-100 battery, bezel or band.
Plus a bonus on how to install a glass cover just in case.

Thanks for doing this great exploration of the watch internals. The display is totally the reason I got this one, and that it wasn't too bulky.
Actually there is a quartz crystal there, component A002L, visible in 13:12, it's not tube shaped but rectangular. Thank you so much for this video, it was AMAZING !!! 🙂

@@alaahassan3046 About 160$. I used for month now, and I think it is worth the price! I use Stepcounter mostly, this advanced Timer, stopwatch, Alarms... The least notifications as I use it mostly in airplane mode, as I was not interested in smart watch... Only missing is Solar panel, but change battery once a 2 or 3 years is not bad... I can recommend this watch.

Is it obvious which chip is the Bluetooth radio? Do you think you can physically disable it?

Hey, so I recently bought Mudmaster GGB100, about a few days back and looking to get a GXW56 in a few days. I think watching your videos brought back the love I had for Casio watches. Thanks for that.
And in your GXW56 video, you mentioned a few things to lookout to check if the watch is an original..... Do they still apply or not?? Or have they changed in some way?
For GXW56 they're still the same. I gotta say the fakes are getting better looking recently. Gotta be extra careful, normally fake ones will have bad display and different beep sound since the interior was built differently.

Don't use metal tweezers on the battery/capacitor! It shorts the positive and the negative terminals.
Capacitor, yes. Bare battery as it is, no.

I wan't to ask you about how durable the back plate holding four screws are? I mean remove the backplate every 2 year is not sounds good when the watch body was plastic and the screws are metal. What is the experience about any G-shock?
背板的4个螺丝我只拆卸了一次就断了1个，表已经报废了，不能再使用。如果多次拆卸螺丝一定会损坏，螺丝与塑料的外壳的连接会松弛，就不能固定不锈钢背板，只能更换新的外壳组件。

I can't find any glass to replace it with, but any glass punch removal tool would do the job.

Thanks for the review. I picked up a gbx-100 (same module as this I believe) but could not believe it was missing the hourly chime function, seems like a strange omission. I sent it back as thats such a key feature for me. Any idea why they left it out ?
If it had bluetooth you could of set your phone to send the hourly notification to the watch
