I chased the same car around there when I ran in Sept 2021... can't for the life of me remember the instructors name. The greatest part of the experience, was the instructor dispelling what I had feared most... "We like to drive fast around here, but if you can't, we have to slow down... So keep within three car lengths... You fall behind I have to slow y'all down." I'd disagree with you though. The C8 has a phenomenal amount of grip and brakes. Watching your video, you look to be about 8-10mph slower around most of the track, so you may very well have been heat soaked if you drove the last group of the day. Most people have never driven to the limits of 7" wide tires and steel brakes, so a C8 is an absolute animal. I had done some track work on slicks before in the mid 2000's, and I was incredibly surprised how much grip the C8 has. I still was able to get it to dance a bit here and there, but my hats off to the men and women that brought that thing to life... it's a beautiful piece of engineering.
