As a long time Ace Combat fan, I've found myself playing NO while listening to Ace Combat soundtracks, specifically AC04. It has a special place in my heart as my first video game, not to mention the fact that it was incredible on it's own. This brought a massive smile to my face. "Mobius 1, engage."
Awesome video, thanks! The game looks awesome, only the kill at 2:35 makes clear some glaring physics issues. You shot off one wing and it was flying fine, then another, and still they were flying along!
What I don't get - and maybe I'm not meant to coming from AH3 - but all the battles and A2A combat vectors all seem rather low on the deck and snuggled close for next gen aircraft. Wouldn't most of the jets and VTOLS be up in the ceiling range firing from miles off? I suppose the hard deck makes for prettier visuals, but as a VGP, I cannot imagine not taking off and pushing one of the craft toward its service ceiling, no?
well, this video is very dated by now, but AI just usually doesnt go very high back then, going up was safe, but these days you'll be spammed by 50km range semiactive radar SAMs if you do, so going up is much more dangerous than staying low
Does this work with TrackIR and a HOTAS setup? Because last I tried, there were things it just wouldn't bind right and I don't think TrackIR was working either.
hotas support is pretty mediocre and trackir is not supported yet. For hotas, some people have found success using Joystick Gremlin. For TrackIR, you should join the Nuclear Option Discord if you can, and check pinned messages in the general chat - there's a workaround for TrackIR there that is confirmed working, too much to put here lol
