I had to transport my miniature mare while she was badly foundered. It was an 1,800 kilometre trip and she wouldn’t have survived if she had to stand so I booked a box stall for her. When she came off the trailer she was sore but alive and a few months later her founder cleared up with the wonderful care and skill of her new farrier. Now she is a happy little camper so lively and healthy. The coffin bones are still rotated but that isn’t causing any lameness at all. It was an injury to her white line that caused all of the lameness. She just had a trim today and her hooves are completely normal and hard as can be. Good luck with Skeletor. Sending good vibes from Nova Scotia Canada.
I was looking into getting some horses to ride and care for in retirement but watching how much time and effort goes into maintaining them properly I am seeing that I would never be able to do anything else. As much I love horses, I still need my motorcycles and other activities to keep me satisfied so your channel gives me my fix for loving these beautiful animals. Thanks for allowing many of us to live vicariously through you while not wallowing in manure. I only wish I could be there to pet and groom them occasionally. :)
I feel the same way. I am going to call around to local stables to see if they can use some occasional help. I volunteered for years at a cat and dog shelter. Some of my best times. : )
I’m really enjoying watching your channel grow and devote! Your countdown to the premiere was “clever!.” I’m an arm chair horse lover. Watching you rehab these beautiful horses fills my heart!
I just watched the video about preparing for the storm and you mentioned people leaving hateful comments on your videos- WTF? People who have personal problems like to attack those who do not. Apparently, it makes them feel better about themselves. Losers. Don't even acknowledge them. You are awesome. Your horses are awesome. Love your channel ❤ ❤❤❤❤❤
I've had all of my horses receive chiropractic care and it's made a huge difference. They've all lived into their 30's without pain or lameness of any kind. My Palomino was 23, having lots of trouble getting up and I was really worried it was coming to the end of his days. But I did try a chiropractor and right after the 1st adjustment, he kissed my cheek, zoomed around the barnyard, in front of the doc and I, laid down, and literally leaped up as if his legs were springs. I highly recommend it, it did more then acupuncture or Buyte anything else. Keep going sweetie pie, you're doing great!
Huckleberry is super cute, mom look what happened to me, I got a boo boo! I think Tiny loves her barn/outside life. She looks very happy to me. It was also precious to see the horses snuggle at the beginning. I said prayers for Skelator. I think he is such a beautiful horse as well as very fun! I can't believe how good your 29year old horse looks! Cant wait for Scarlet to have some horsey friends in the pasture. God Bless you all!
SPRING IS FINALLY ARRIVED!! Now the horse's can get out and run free!! And all of your other animals can get out and enjoy the sun and the breeze!! Just Awesome To See!! Thank You for everything that you do!!❤😊❤!!
Many Good Vibes being sent for Skeletor----be careful on your big drive! I was laughing a lot at Goose's Pity Party, lol. And poor Huckleberry, attacked by a gopher.
Oh yes they can! Mine would stand with his head in the corner with his butt pointed at you. He didn't kick just pointed his rear at you. When you turned around quick he'd be looking at you and then quick turned back in the corner. He was a registered Quarter Horse and he had a personality as big as he was ! ❤😊
As a cat person with just 1 cat, my observations of Tiny are that she is very happy and independent. She’s a horse-barn cat and seems to rule the place. Some cats need other cats but Tiny doesn’t strike me that way. She has the whole place, the sun, the top of the stacks, all the mice she can find, the horses, going with Mom all over the ranch, etc. She seems very satisfied and luxuriates in her slice of heaven. I also love seeing her in these videos.
I love your animal beautiful heart, Clever Cowgirl... it melts mine to know that there are kindred spirits out there keeping watch over the special ones like you're doing with all of these guys ❤❤❤
Excellent video! If Scarlett clears the panels in that round pen, you know for sure you've got a legit jumper on your hands, LOL! I hope your trip to the vet goes smoothly, and you get some answers as to why Skeletor is lame. Sending lots of love and positive thoughts his way!!! ❤
The horses all look great and seem happy to be enjoying the nice weather. You are such a good person for taking care of them as well as you do. Wishing the best results for Skeletor.
This week has been marvelous!! I broke a sweat and had to change into shorts! Today is the last day before it cools down , but Spring is here and it is wonderful!if you can find a Massage Therapist, or even Chiropractor who works on horses it might be beneficial. Tendon issues often grow out of muscle imbalances. There is a method called pin and release which might be helpful. My daughter is a MP, she only works on humans but she teaches them things to use between sessions, and an animal MT would likely do so, since there aren’t a lot of them, and no way to see regularly. I encouraged my daughter to take the training but it is almost as many hours as her original training, and quite expensive. And she has as many clients as she wants.😸
Have a safe and productive trip to the vet and back. Hope they can pinpoint the source of the lameness and help Skeletor out. It is so far to go for a vet trip, is this vet a specialist? Thx for the nice time at the barn. Tiny and Huckleberry rock! Cheers. ❣️🍀
What great weather -- it's 25 degrees here on Lake Michigan's shore today -- hope the barn cats' water didn't freeze. Huckleberry is lucky -- groundhogs (especially the mamas) can claw and defent their caverns pretty fierce!. My cattle dog was smart, but my collie mix stuck her nose where it didn't belong -- yup - stitches! Good luck with your biggest dog, Skeletor. Maybe he'll start chewing on the Jolly Balls, too
😊 I'm sooo happy to have found your channel! Ur conversational tone is both informative & soothing. It's like listening to a really good friend. I'm also starting to fall for ur horses!❤ 🐎🤗 Oops! I also ADORE ur dog & kitty!🐈🐶❤
Love all the horses personalities ❤ Huckleberry and Tiny are amazing too. I kinda giggled a little when you said when the snow melts you start to find stuff you! 😊 I can’t believe how quickly the snow melted! Happy for CG that things are coming along! Prayers for Skeletor that all goes well at his vets visit 🙏🐴
I really enjoy following you around as you interact with all your animals.would love to help you with all your chores. But, alas, I live in Louisiana. My husband and I spent a lot of time in Montana fishing and hunting in yesteryears. Your view of the mountains is glorious. I send you and your animal friends wishes of love, health, and all around wellness. Thanks for sharing.❤😊❤
Love, love, love your channel and how you give the very best care to so many special beings. Here comes a nurse perspective question that I hope isn’t too intrusive: who could possibly keep up with your caring routine if you suddenly weren’t physically able? Maybe you already mentioned it earlier since you’ve talked about your back. The amount of work you do is really impressive and has inspired me to tackle my little indoor cat chores with pride. Keep up the great work (well, passion)!
Why is it that whenever you say you've come across something that isn't "normal", I immediately wonder what Skeletor has done now? 😆 And, by the way, Huckleberry is a great name for a dog!

Love your viseos! I cant wait ro see you get your own stable and build it how you want...you sure are builsing your channel ans one day soon youll have enough foe just that!❤
Poor Goose, can’t do shenanigans with the new panels! Thawed 💩, lol Hope Skeletor will be well soon. Will you get any footage of the trip to the Vet? Huckleberry is fierce! I thought Scarlett got bigger, also. Keep us posted about Skeletor!
From what you have described over many months I think that Scarlet could make a very good jumping horse. Being 16 hands is not as essential as great balance, a big butt, and no fear of fences. I rode in gymkhanas a lot as a teenager and young woman and my best jumping horse was a running Quarter horse called Fly. She grew up half-wild in the British Columbia interior and she was like Scarlet-- she would escape by jumping over fences all the time. Once settled and loved she was a fearless jumper. She was only 15 hands but she would go over 4 feet, and she was very skilled at multi-leveled and broad jumps at 3.5 feet. I stopped riding when I went to college but I have such strong loving memories of my little 'crazy' horse. So many times my competition would look down at my little horse that looked like cowboy pony, until we would start going over the course! 😂 Happy spring and good luck with Skeletor at the vet.
You're the best, Cowgirl. Can't wait to see how your vet trip goes - lots of good luck, prayers and vibes have been sent your and Skeletor's way! Also, Scarlet is turning out to be quite a promising horse! I can see the jumper potential too :-)
I love 1) your animals2) the way you care for your animals3) your videos. I wish the rest of the world were like you.
Now if you can just get Skeletor and Huckleberry to play ball with each other without you needing to be involved.....Hahaha

You just can't go wrong with a picture of Tiny. I love her, she is the best horsecat.
I love Tiny too!❤ she's so friendly.
Prayers for Skelitor!
I want to see YOUR FACE more! You're tops. 😊
I am not a cat person but Tiny is irresistable
Your whole strategy towards buying, selling and training is so refreshing. The horses that find themselves under your care are very lucky.

Skeletor has turned out to be a beautiful horse. Great job!
Sending good vibes, thoughts and prayers for Skeletor. AND safe travels! 🙏🏻☀️💕💕💕
The best mornings are with Tiny and Huckleberry 🐎👢🌻
Love seeing all the different personalities of your lovely animals.
Good luck at the vet's. I enjoy your explaining the quirks and moods of the horses. Thank you for sharing your insights. ❤
Your such a great horse owner, not making him stand in trailer for hours ❤❤❤ 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤

This is an Algorithm Comment, because I'd love to support the Clever Clowgirl.
Have a good one
I think Tiny is dreaming of the video, “Mice Go To Montana For Spring Break” I think she’s smiling.❤
I just had to put my kitty down so thank you for the video it was like s hug. Sending a wish for skeletor to get better🌟

Napping.
Antics.
Moody moments.
Last but not least... THE VET😂❤
Tiny runs your barn like a Boss! Sending positive vibes.
They have spring babies to protect, so Huckleberry better watch out, my own big dog Ellen is hunting them too. Good luck Skeletor. Have a safe trip.
Here Comes the Sun
Tiny RULES THE BARN !!❤
Yes, I'm vibing my best wishes for all of your horses, for you, Tiny and Huckleberry as well and Skeletor in particular for his vet trip!
Is he dreaming of past lives, running free? Safe journey and good vibes for Skelator.
6 hour trip to the vet???!!! You are beyond committed to your horses.
That’s Montana !
Tiny, Huckleberry, and horses. Never a bad start to my week!
I love your animal beautiful heart, Clever Cowgirl... it melts mine to know that there are kindred spirits out there keeping watch over the special ones like you're doing with all of these guys ❤❤❤
Good vibes headed your way for Skelotor's appointment!
Love that cat. My Silly Silly Girl cat is jealous because Tiny has so many mice.
You sure have a lot of hard work to do but your pastures and animals are benefitting from your expertise and dedication.
Horses can be so finicky and so fussy. They’re like a bunch of babies.
I’m a “cat person,” & Tiny looks “large & in charge” to me. She’s working on instructing the corral horses, I’m sure, when you’re not there.
Your idea about Skeletor's diagnosis makes a lot of sense to me. I hope there is a nonsurgical solution.
I hope whatever the findings for Skeletor, that there's something positive to be found.
Too funny I was about to type that same thing about Scarlet 😂, Prayers sent all the way from California my dear‼️🙏🏼🩵🙏🏼🩵🙏🏼🩵🙏🏼🫶🏼🐎🫶🏼
The ☀️ is the best medicine after the winter

I could change things around so the horses would be less work. Round bales, no horses in stalls, etc. Very easy to do if needed!
Good luck at the vet, Skeletor! 🙏
Safe travels! Hope Skeletor's problem is resolved soon!

Sending all the good vibes to Skeletor!!!❤❤❤
Happy spring and good luck with Skeletor at the vet.
Safe travels to you for your journey ❤ Good Vibes all around.
Wow. 56.3k. You flyin lady😊.
Some cats just prefer to be the only one in their world and don't care for intruders. Good vibes and prayers for Skeletor for his trip!
Haha omg Gooses pity party, lm dying!!!
I love those Strip Hair tools, they are the best.
All my most positive energy for Skeletor, you, and all your critters!!!!
hard to believe the snow melted so quickly. Looks like a beautiful day. Hoping the absolute best for Skeletor.
You're the best, Cowgirl. Big hug to you, you really work hard. A gentle hug for Skeletor, let him please be ok. Best wishes from the UK
Well, I am quite the novice...shall I just admit it right up front???
You mentioned that all the horses were having their teeth done...what will be done to them?
You also mentioned how the dry lot wasn't dry yet and you couldn't drag it yet...what is that?
Sorry - hope this isn't too much of an intrusion into your busy day with answering silly novice-questions!
...still love watching...decided to start at the beginning and follow you up since you haven't been at this too long.
Its easy to see your expertise has sharpened...great job!!
You have great diction, a lovely tone of voice which makes listening to you quite pleasant!
Thank you, Miss Horsewoman of 2024!!! ❤❤❤
I will be doing a video on their dentist visit, so stay tuned for that. A dry lot is used to hold the horses when the pasture can not be used, right now it is just starting to grow!
Dragging a field/dry lot makes it level and makes the footing better, usually you take a chain harrow and drag it behind a tractor/ATV
@@TheCleverCowgirl Can't wait! ❤❤❤
Hope you hear good news from the vet. I always enjoy your videos. Have a great week!

Can't wait to see how your vet trip goes - lots of good luck, prayers and vibes have been sent your and Skeletor's way! Also, Scarlet is turning out to be quite a promising horse! I can see the jumper potential too :-)
Some female cats are very independent and are usually never lonely and enjoy their alone time. Huckleberry seems to be a great companion.
