Wow, I came for some inspiration to keep my CAAD12 versus getting a new bike and did not expect this kind of production value. Beautiful piece of art, both in terms of the bike and the film.
Just looks better than the caad 13, I hate the trend of drop seat stays. That's exactly how my dream bike would look, metal raw frame with carbon parts and 50mm deep wheels, lovely
If going Shimano BB, GRX + Micro Advent X is a great bang for buck setup. Garbaruk sell GRX rings that are bigger but may as well go Ultegra crankset and remove the inner ring
@@2552legoboy Cool! If you’re into climbing check out a used 2016 SuperSix Hi-mod (the former traditional frame style, before they went more aero). I love rim brakes because no hassle but if you get high quality disc my friends say there is little rubbing. Good luck finding your bike! : )
Dude this build is amazing right down to the minute details. Garbaruk 52T- they’re the only company that makes that size tooth count 1x ring for Cannondale DM. The ratchet kit for 1x, 12 speed conversion, and Force 1 Long cage … absolutely stunning. I am copying elements of this for my 10 build.
The CAAD12's model years span between 2016 - 2019, with the smaller sized (Size 52 and smaller) 2016 frames having a higher standover height due to the horizontal top tube like their larger counterparts. This was rectified for 2017 CAAD12s and beyond by giving the top tube a slight sloping angle, lowering its standover height for wider rider compatibility.
@@fartlord5000 On Caad12's it's not the bike that will prevent you from fitting 28's it's the brakes. I had to deflate my tires to get past SRAM red calipers, shimano has more clearance
@@fernfloyd Hi! Beautiful bike! After sanding, did you apply any protective additive on it?... And maybe do you remember the type of sandpaper you used? Thin or thick (the grain)?
There's something about caad12 thats so appealing to me

I had the 13 and never like it, now I have the 12 and I'm perfectly good with it.
WOW that's exactly the bike I am dreaming of. 1x in front and wide cassette in the back, perfect!

Had a Caad 10, loved it. Bought a SuperSix Hi-mod Evo, love it and just bought a Caad 12, I’m sure I’m going to love it!
CAAD & SuperSix's are both amazing. Hadn't heard of them before but I'm in love, especially the models with relatively standard size components
You’re living my dream! I only have a caad 8 I’m very happy w but I’m looking for a super six

@@sustainf Ye sthats what im looking for, one of the lightest carbon frames ever 600gram something stripped :)
I see CAAD. I upvote 👍

Beautiful cannondale 👌
damn that looks good
The chain guide? Looks amazing!
Bravo.
Gorgeous bike, curious where did you get those beautiful decals?
What cable housing is used?
Sick build!

Video is fire. My friend has a caad 12 and asking me to get one. I will continue riding my 2016 Ritchey Logic though.
very nice.
Nice build. I'm getting ready to do the same on a CAAD10 frame. What chain catcher did you use on the FD?
Sooooo Goood !!!!
Hey man nice build. What headset top cap/dust cap and bars are you using?
Awesome! What cassette did you go for?
Sick build! 👍What is the range on that Garbaruk cassette?
did you sand blasted and put a paint coat after?
How do you go about combatting oxidation. I recall with the raw Six/13’s from back in the day that it became a problem.
how much weight saved off the frame by removing the paint? absolutely stunning build mate
Grams if that 🤣
do you have more info about the frame customization? How has made the lettering? Thanks! Do you painted with a lacquer?
Absolutely stunning! Which model year was this CAAD12 frame, and which countries/regions was it sold in?

@@sbccbc7471 thank you for the info. I was inquiring about the particular frame shown in this video, in that colour. "'This' CAAD 12 frame".
@@flflam This colour scheme isn't a factory offering, it's custom.
@@sbccbc7471 Thank you! Now I can stop looking for it 😉
Is it sandblasted or did u sandpaper the frame? And how did you get the cannondale logo with that Pearl effect? Does Antons know? :)
I need to know tooooo
Sweet build. What headset / headset bearing top cap did you use to get such a low stack?
It's likely a Slamthatstem bearing dust cover.
Cannondale also makes a 5mm dust cover that is found under the 25mm ones.
Is it a Stocky's 12 speed ratchet conversion?
Hey I’m about to something very similar to my road bike. What method did you use to determine chain length? Thanks
Would love to have one but it seems like these frames no longer exist in our country
how did the 28mm tires work out here? I've read mixed things about 28s fitting CAAD12s
I had 30’s on my CAAD 12 no issue 👌🏻
@@backyard_bicycless what’s ID Of your wheelset though?

do you have or had problems with bb30 ? what's your height and size of the bike, are you content with that ?
Green Loctite on the bearing interface. Just saying
