I have a 2018 ultimate sport turbo model. Easy to park and navigate around town. Nice freeway car as well. Plenty of power climbing hills and passing when you need to. The turbo has gotten me out of emergency situations when needed. Very cheap to maintain. One draw back , we don’t have a Hyundai dealer close by for warranty work. However, we do have a Kia dealer who can do service work but no warranty work. I’ve had three Santa Fe’s. They keep on improving this model. The software and navigation very fast. So far with 55k miles, no serious problems. We had some paint peeling but Hyundai notified us and took care of this at no charge. The warranty is fabulous!

This should be required as you are waiting at the dealer to wrap up your purchase! AWESOME! My vehicle does not seem to operate the lift gate with the key even though we activated it on the screen....Any tips?
If you mean the "smart tailgate" feature, you need to 1. Make sure it's enabled in the settings 2. Lock the doors 3. Move the key away from the vehicle (about 15 feet away) 4. Wait 20 seconds 5. Walk up to the back and wait 4 seconds. If that doesn't work, it's either not enabled or something is wrong
That review was amazing! Thank you. I have a deposit on a 2023 SF hybrid Limited (top level trim available in the USA) to be delivered in a few weeks. I am stunned by the tech in this car. It is different but on par with my Tesla Model Y. I learned so much about this car that I was unaware of. I could go on but all the comments below pretty much cover it. I'm in the USA so I expect there will be a few differences, but this was so helpful. I received so little of this info from the dealership sales people. I'm pretty sure my version in the USA does not get the spare tire. That's a bit of a bummer.
The USA 2023 version does not have a full size spare tire. It also does not have the pocket behind the drivers seat, a pull tab on the rear seat center armrest. The rear seats do not slide back and forth, and, the seats do not have the quilting on the upper seat back. It's a pity because they were there on the 2022 Limited Hybrid. Ask me how I know? I currently own and drive a 2023 Limited Hybrid. Hyundai removed several items from the 2022 model here in USA, sighhhh.

Wonder if (any) dealers will provide a cost summary for all non-warranty replaceables as a condition of buying? No surprises. Like wipers, exterior/interior lights, brakes, filters, tires, fluids. Found out too late dealer cost on “lifetime” headlight bulb was $700. On another car $1200 to replace transmission fluid.
Hello, your reviews are the greatest in the YT. What is the color of the rear turn signals of the 2021 Model Santa FE luxury Hybrid for Canada market build in Korea?
Hi Ed. That's a very nice review. I've recently bought one in Quebec. I've been told that my warranty will be voided if I'll do any kind of rust treatment since it may affect electrical components. Could you please advise something? There should be a Hyundai approved way to protect the car from rust
In Canada, consumers are protected from so called "voided warranties" No company can void an entire warranty. HOWEVER, they CAN and will *not honour* warrant coverage of any problem caused by something you've done to the car. Hybrids/phevs and electric vehicles have ports and electrical contacts on the bottom that cannot be sprayed by rust proofing. However, if you find someone who actually knows what they're doing and rust proofs only the areas that are safe to spray then you should be fine. Honestly though, cars these days are so well protected from rust, it's probably not even needed.
Awesome video, I bought one of these Sante Fe 2023 Hybrids in the states. It's a very nice SUV but to be honest the features within features is a bit bewildering.

Does PHEV have bigger charging battery, or just the same size as the hybrid? Would PHEV have the front grill in black colour instead of shining silver colour? I purchased a Santa Fe and want to know if I can fold the side mirrors from inside the car. The would be most helpful when pulling in the garage at night and when it’s bad weather
Do they already fold in when you lock the doors? If so, there's a button right above the mirror controls that you can press to make them fold in while you're in the car and it's running.

Very concerned the USA model does not have a spare tire. We got stuck with sidewall damage luckily in town and towed the vehicle to replace the tire. Subsequently, we purchased a full size spare and keep it in the back taking up most of the cargo space. Keep this in mind when you take a remote road trip in the USA. I heard USA is the only country that allows no spare.
In Canada there's no spare either. But the amount of times you have a sidewall blow out in your lifetime, I'd rather just have the pump as it's far easier, and works for 95% of flats. You could have also gotten just a small spare and hung it on the bottom. You can get the needed hardware from a Hyundai dealership.

The issue I have with the wired carplay connection is that the USB port's power is pretty minimal. So it's a very very slow charge. But yeah, other then that. Who cares. And if you really want wireless carplay/AA, it's easy to add with a dongle.
What!!! I have a 2022 Santa Fe Hybrid Luxury and see they added Nav!!!!! For the 2023. Too bad guess there's no way to have the 8" radio upgraded? Too bad I bought extended warranty so not going to trade in
Ask???? If I put the cell phone to charge upside down in the wireless charging port with the charging connector facing up, can I put the cable in and connect to Android auto at the same time?
Yes, but it'll end up trying to charge from the USB cable. I'll be testing a $50 wireless Android auto dongle in the coming weeks. If that works, then we could wirelessly charge and use Android auto wireless as well. Stay tuned for that video

It is wired carplay. Which I am amazed at how many people diss that. Most times I always plug in my phone to charge anyways!!
The issue I have with the wired carplay connection is that the USB port's power is pretty minimal. So it's a very very slow charge.
But yeah, other then that. Who cares.
And if you really want wireless carplay/AA, it's easy to add with a dongle.
This vehicle Reliable?
So far yes they've been very reliable
What!!! I have a 2022 Santa Fe Hybrid Luxury and see they added Nav!!!!! For the 2023.
Too bad guess there's no way to have the 8" radio upgraded?
Too bad I bought extended warranty so not going to trade in
Yep 🤷
Thx for the comment!!
Hello
Hi
No BVM😅
In Canada, that's only on the top trim, the calligraphy.
If it works, let us know where can we buy that dongle or the brand and model to buy accordingly. Thanks.
I uploaded a video like... Hours ago...
