So much pro stuff in these vids. For all of the talk of virtuosity on display here from everyone, it's the listening that really stands out. For all of you that may not be totally hip to what you're seeing & hearing, start with watching how often Guthrie, Jimmy, and Joe straight up don't play a thing.
He sure is. I first saw him 21 years ago when he was with the Filthy Rich.. My band played before his at the 2000 International Blues Challenge in Memphis....He totally blew me away that night.... Glad he made a name from himself....
@@bluesboyst That's very cool . America has such a rich tapestry of music . When you think about it bands like Led Zeppelin & many others were influenced by Blues . Thanks for the interesting reply .
Saw Joe in Huntsville Al in April and he did another stellar performance of Blues Deluxe! Had that axe sounding like a violin at a whisper to full throat howling! I’m glad I got some of it on video. Thanks for posting these sets. Nothing better than great musicians who respect each other playing in a small venue!
Who would walk into a honkytonk in Nashville, walk through the door, and there stands Guthrie Trapp and Joe Bonamassa playing in the band, and feel the need to go to another bar?! The correct answer is, nobody!!
Ok I'm convinced I have to get one of these amps. I might not sound like Joe but at least I'll have an amp that looks like the one he's playing in this video. Anything to get closer to the atmosphere.
Some how the idea of leaving space comes to mind.. these guys know their trade! Look forward to seeing live music again. Bonomsssa in Pasa Robles CA soon. See ya there.
Love to hear this group of musicians play " Semebody Loan me a Dime". That would be incredible. Guthrie is an amazing guitar player. He throws some Jimmy Page licks in there too. Very versitle player. Get that boy some Hendrix pedals and some feed back.
What’s the name of this joint? I need to find all of the tasty places not on Broadway. I always get stuck at Robert’s some how and miss all of the really good places.
I get stuck in Robert's also. 3rd and Lindsley is great , Bourbon Blues bar . Monday nights cousin Kenny at 12th street tap room. Some body great playing every night somewhere in town. Gotta love Nashville
Kitchen on 5th avenue between Church and Union, walking distance from Roberts. But uphill all the way ;-) So many great players these days they have to spread out a bit.
Congrats Joe, You Can finally sing and play like some old black guy in a smoky bar somewhere no one has ever heard of so now, create something new. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Guthrie flows like Josh Smith! Endless ideas, unreal tone, so musical in every lick and run. Mind blowing stuff
Two of my favorites.
Man sure would have loved to have heard Joe respond to that insane solo by Guthrie
This is amazing. Been following Guthrie for a couple years and never heard him play the blues like this . The whole band nailed it 💯💪🎸
the lucky folks that were there for this show ....priceless
Guthrie Trapp is a true star

@@-Atmos1 you know Led Zeppelin are English?
@@MrSimonscuba Of course , it was just conjecture to say that most musicians are influenced by the Blues .
I haven’t won the lottery yet, but I imagine had I walked into this bar and caught this set, I’d have an idea what it feels like......
Guthrie Trapp is greate. Simple as that, just greate.
Man, Joe has come a long way with his vocals. Damn! He be ripping it up! Holler
I was thinking the same thing, this is about the best i've heard him!
Must have taken a ton of work. If it was me, I'd have had to hire a vocalist and be done with it. Incredible show.
Agreed
This may be one of the only times I’ve seen someone else kindly humble Joe! Respect to these bad session cats
Guthrie has just an unbelieveable tone, he is wonderful 🙏
Gotta love Nashville. GT tearin it up that night. Dayam.
Man, Joe Bonamassa really knows how to tell a story with his playing. Super-tasty!
No doubt who the big dog on that stage is. Nashville is Mr Trapp’s town!

This video is a jewel.
So glad I got to see/hear this today, such a great group of experienced artists in that blues kitchen.
These Guys are the Best of Life GTJB & Keys WOW the Keys !
I think joe really gets better every time I hear him play
Gott damn, son!!

Or girls...
No one I want to associate with.
I would jump right up there and join them!!

THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!!!!
Joe’s vocals are 🔥 🔥 not to mention the 🎸
Wow ! At least Guthrie and Joe together !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet sweet mercy!
Amazing!
superb thanks for posting.
Excellent ☮️
❤this is Royal
My two favorite guitarists!!
Friggen Guthrie and Joe!!! Love it

Legendary
Whoah Guthrie!
Unbelievable! So good!
Thanks for posting that. Such outstanding playing and a real treat to see!
He's fantastic 💜
So Guthrie Trapp, Joe Bonamassa, Nick Govrik and Billy Gibbons walk into a bar…..only in Nashville!
Hey Bowlofpasta I dig the extra ground Hum.
You can tell Guthrie always focused on being musical instead of endless hours of scale exercises like every other guitarist (myself included lol).
I'm sure he put a lot of endless hours into scale exercises to get to where he is.
Obviously the playing is amazing but watching GT trying to switch his pedals on right footed then left footed was hilarious.

This is so hot. Love it
good stuff!!
Gotcha covered. Son's
Damn, get Guthrie going with Joe, and that’s tastier than a chicken fried pork chop! You can tell ‘em I said so… 😎
So nice slow gin fizz blues... What is the name if the organ being played like a Hammond?
You know if those guitar players keep practicing, they might be famous someday 😉
JB sings his ass off here
After hearing Guthrie play, Joe is probably thinking, I should probably just sell all my guitars.
😩🤢
16:08 Oops!
I think the Trapp just showed Joe how to play his own song... excellent
Only thing that could improve it would be Jack Pearson strolling in.
I'd LOVE to hear Guthrie & Jack together! For some reason, I think Greg Martin would be a good combo, too.
Ha ha, Guthrie is such a frightening player… That song was a sleeper until Guthrie put some life into it.
Woke me up too ......
don't sleep on that Organ player. His playing was brilliant too.
Was that he Billy gibbons?

Pretty decent sports bar blues. Eh, uncle Larry?
who else skipped keyboard solo? ha ha. just joking 🤣 lol
Break it way down... Drummer doesn't know how to break it down any further for Joe.lol He was wanting half that still.
Guthrie wins hands down!
Didn’t realize it was a competition.
@@kenrafferty2347 I was gonna say the same...
You clowns with your pervasive contests and comparisons
Dave , Three comments below got you pegged .. Its a jam not a contest.
...but who would win in a fistfight?
Jon Favreau on bass?
Congrats Joe, You Can finally sing and play like some old black guy in a smoky bar somewhere no one has ever heard of so now, create something new. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Joe Bonamassa threw his guitar in the bin and vowed to learn drums instead after hearing Gutherie's solo
Jimmy Wallace is outstanding. KWS never sounded good after he left. And please, somebody take Joe's volume knob.
Can’t listen to that singing. It’s just terrible. People who can’t sing shouldn’t. Shouting doesn’t help
you'll be fine, get some rest
Am I missing something they are as bored as crap!??
Is it me or was that drummer rushing Joe a little?
