Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who's ever heard of this movie. Glad to see other people watch it!
Wife and I went to the theater to see it. It's just a cute entertaining movie.
Ha! I totally feel the same way. Really cool movie.
This is probably one of my most quoted movies and it goes over everyone's head every time.
Saw it in the theatre and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Love a good sports movie!
can't wait until they watch Youngblood.
Thank you guys for being original and not just doing the same movies every other reactor does.
Yes! This is one of my all-time favourites. So many well known faces in the cast, too. Very funny and hugely entertaining.
just realized the lawyer is the crazy officer at the beginning of dances with wolves
When do the inevitable “i hate rewatches” comments start? I love this channel no matter what y’all watch!
Thank You!!!! Now you need “Slap Shot” and “Youngblood”!
Definitely "Slap Shot". Paul Newman had fun working on that film.
2 minutes of feeling shame for anyone who ain’t seen Slapshot!
Great movie + reaction! I love watching this during the winter!
Another fun hockey movie is 'Youngblood' (1986) with Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze, and a relatively unknown Keanu Reeves in a small role playing their french-canadian goalie. 👍
You were talking hockey movies, you left a few out: "Slap Shot" with Paul Newman. Very funny. And, "Youngblood" starring Rob Lowe as Dean Youngblood, Patrick Swayze and their goalie was John Wick!
Send in the Hansons! :D
"Hooper" would be a great movie for these two. They're the kind of people who would appreciate it.
I watched that movie So many times, on old VHS when I was a kid. Fun fun. Jan Vincent I think, before Air Wolf too... Precursor to Fall Guy really. Old times. Was in Canada where and when they filmed this one. Crazy how time flies. Ran into cast in Canmore AB, at the time didn't recognize anyone but Colm Meany due to SNG..Well and Burt Reynolds, filmed house scenes across the street from where I was living in Banff AB. Wow, memories coming back. Just for Grins. Luck to ya! ✌️🤟
@joshmackaben4537 Real stunts not CGI crap. My father was a Vietnam Vet and loved this movie. The Coors, being rowdy, this movie reminds me of him and his buddies.
Or Slapshot perhaps??
fun fact about hockey, players were wearing cups long before goalie masks were popular.
I was there, living in Canada when they filmed this Movie. Skating and town scenes in Canmore, AB,. Interior scene with Burt Reynolds was in a house across the street from where I was staying in Banff, AB. I did see him come and go, such a legend. Ran into some of the cast including Crowe in a Cafe in Canmore. He wasn't a huge star yet back then, before Gladiator, and I would never bug anyone even famous anyway. I just recognized them as the actors filming, and wasn't till later knowing who, etc.. Is a Wonderful Area in that part of Alberta... Just yapping bout old stories.... Time Flies right, Luck to All!✌️🤟
An underappreciated hockey flick is "Youngblood" (1986). Mrs will like a very young Rob Lowe and Patrick Swayze. Also, "Goon" with Seann William Scott. - edited
Seann William Scott is in "Goon", not Chris Pratt.
@@Madbandit77 You're right. I was misremembering. It's been a while since I have seen it. I should have checked to make sure.
Youngblood and slapshoot best hockey movies.
Youngblood got me into skating and then joining a hockey team. Medway junior Bears in uk🇬🇧🐻🏒😎😂
Slap shot next please!
My opinion of Mrs. Movies just shot way up (not that it was low, except her love for black licorice). This is such a great movie. My second favorite hockey movie behind Miracle. Thanks, M'Lady, for liking this so much so that we can finally see a reaction to it.
She knew most hockey players are Canadian but didn't think they wore cups
Love this movie!!! Its in my top 5 favorite hockey movies!!! Other hockey movies to check out are slap shot youngblood and goon
I LOVE this movie. Perhaps it's because I have a strong penchant for Alaska, and hockey...but it's just a fun, heart warming movie.
Finally, somone is reacting to this movie. Such an underrated gem.
5:34 There he is, the legendary Chief O'brien
36:58 I was born and raised 3 hours south of Flin Flon. It's a nice place. the Statue of Flintabbatey Flonatin is very nice particularly.
No one i ever ask has seen this film. Amazed to see it reacted to. Black ice. Skate the river. Pull a dog sled. Our pond.
The Married W Children cheers when y’all’s kids interrupt is freaking hilarious! 😆
Also, love this movie, this channel, love hockey!, Go Stars!
Agreed with your comment, but I gotta boo the Stars! Go Wild!
Slap Shot, Miracle, and Goon (along with this movie) are my favorite hockey films.
I do love it. I own it on DVD and I actually saw it in the theater when it came out.
I’m so glad you’re reacting to this! I thought it was highly underrated!
44:31 Two Nothing after 1 is nothing. There's still 40 minutes left.
I love this movie so much!! Very under the radar. Thanks for reacting to this one.
I'm an old fart, I rarely comment. I watch a lot of reactors while waiting for garden time. I so appreciate how you two are not completely full of it, hard to find. The inclusions of your kids interrupting you is just an example of why a lot of us watch people watch things (for christ's sake lol), to feel like we are spending time with a friend. You guys are really good at this, don't change a thing. Thanks
Two comments, now I'm a proven liar lol. If you want a great hockey movie, checkout Slapshot either here or on your own
2:16 I played Street Hockey. I was...there..playing my heart out...
Never even heard of this movie. Watching now with my favorite TH-cam reactors 👍🙌
With as big of a cast as this movie has it is underrated. You're right, the cuss words and the underdog story was what made this movie for me. I don't care what Rotten Tomato's says, never did. This came out (1999) after another of my favorite Russell Crowe movies, it's the fast draw western The Quick and the Dead (1994) also starring Sharon Stone, Leo DiCaprio and Gene Hackman and Gary Sinise, it's another good movie that seems to fly under the radar. This movie ranks on my list top favorite hockey movies among Miracle, Youngblood (Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze) and Slapshot (Paul Newman) and both Mighty Ducks movies . But, I do wish they would make more hockey movies. Although, I have suggested this movie to many reactors who have done Miracle you guys are the only ones I've seen react to it. Russell's line the locker room, "I'm not BEATEN" primed him for Gladiator. lol
They filmed this in Canmore, Alberta and the town actually asked the film crew to leave the new rink but the crew tore it down anyway.
I played hockey in high school and you aren't joking about the smell. My hockey bag was fucking radioactive. My mom wouldn't let me keep it in the house, I had to keep in in a shed, lol.
Did you not air out your shit? I mean my hockey equipment didn't smell great either but it wasn't radioactive 😂😂😂
Awesome to see someone react to this! Especially since you guys have some hockey knowledge. Also, it was Charlie Conway and Adam banks from the mighty ducks 😂
Incredible cast for a movie I'd never heard of before.
Yay, someone finally reacted to this movie. Thank you.
One of my Favourite hockey movies! another one that is good that you might not have seen is Youngblood, starring Rob Lowe and a young Patrick Swayze and featuring a young Keanu Reeves
My 3 favourite hockey movies is mystery Alaska, miracle and slap shot.
i love this movie its one of my favorite go to movies when having a crap day love the channel keep up great content
The defense Russell Crowe teaches the team is a Neutral Zone Trap, or simply, The Trap/Trap. It was made famous by the NJ Devils in the late 1990s and early 2000s, culminating in three Stanley Cup championships. It greatly diminishes scoring opportunities. And why is everybody forgetting about Jean-Claude Van Damme's hockey movie "Sudden Death" back in 1995? You bastards!
You definitely wear a cup in hockey.
I had a teammate that forgot his cup once and played anyway. I woulda just gone home at that point.
Russell Crow is so dreamy in this movie
3:19 Canmore Alberta, mostly in Quarry Lake Park.
SLAPSHOT! is the best hockey movie
1:14 Better than Youngblood?? With Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze, and Keanu Reeves???
I believe this was filmed somewhere in Alberta. - and what others have echoed, check out Goon, Slapshot, and Youngblood
Shot in Alberta, Canada
Always a shoein when someone asks me what my favorite Hockey movie is.
Has the Mrs seen Youngblood? Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe, Keanu (and others). Fun hockey movie.
Is this Kevin Durand’s nicest character? I can’t think of any nicer.
All right,my bad - it was actually filmed in Canada in a town called Canmore, Alberta
Some how this silly movie has some of the best hockey in a hockey movie.
I love this hidden gem
SLAPSHOT!!! Best hockey movie EVA!!!!
this is the rocky of hocky
Russell Crowe must have like Scott Grimes and Kevin Durand as he teamed up with them again in Robin Hood
You really do not want to get hit by a puck without a cup.
I had always thought this was an enjoyable, fun movie.
I saw this movie once years ago and I loved it.
So glad to see you see it.
You guys should watch Tenet. I think you'd enjoy that film.
A very good movie. I never saw it before either. I still say Youngblood is the best Hockey movie, but this is very good and will become a yearly watch for me. Thank you for that.
Please watch Youngblood.
The judge doesn’t like the Saturday game because he believes his son should go to school and not waste away his other skills
38:57 Mostly on the American teams. Most of the Canadian teams are Americans.
Great reaction, y'all need to react to Young blood and Slapshot as well 🙏
Black ice?
fun flick! I always love a hockey movie!
I thought this movie was very enjoyable, my Favorite hockey movie is however
Slap Shot (1977)
Yes thank you for this reaction
If you guys like sports movies, you should watch Bull Durham with Kevin Costner. Best sports movie I've ever seen.
Such a classic
One of my favorite movies. sorry, but the best hockey movie is Miracle
Thornloe Cheese Ontario’s largest dairy farming co-operative, operated not far from where The oldest Pro Hockey Team on The Planet Earth played all their games inside The Boreal Forest. They were called "The Haileybury Comets" making their letters (HC). The Montreal Canadians, The World's oldest pro Hockey Team has HC on Their Jersey. The Montreal Canadians first game as The Canadians was against "The Cobalt Silver Kings" whom The Haileybury Comets played against for 8 or 9 seasons in The Temiskaming Pro Hockey League. Hockey comes from Lacrosse please watch (War on The Floor) it is a Box Lacrosse vid. Thanks for all your great production Mr & Mrs + Fam
Holy I completely forgot about this movie
There is only one best hockey movie and it is Slap Shot.
I wonder if Russell learned how to skate or used a stunt double because they all that ice in Australia. Some scenes it looks like he can barely turn, I've been skating since I was 5
Best Hockey movie is Slapshots
'Slapshot'!!
I would rather coach than play, unless I have a better coach than myself.
Best hockey movie?
Have you not seen (1977) Slap Shot?
Guys. Please watch Slap Shot.
Nice, love me some hockey movies. Not sure if yall have seen Goon 1&2, they're quite good for the most part.
Stellar cast
The best hockey movie is "Goon".
Underrated flick
I liked it!
You guys need to watch YOUNGBLOOD, starting Rob Lowe and Patrick Swayze!!!
0:45 You should have switched chairs.
Next time.
The part about making the Rangers cold doesn't make much sense. They weren't the real Rangers but the 1998-99 New York Rangers, which included Wayne Gretzky were mostly Canadians who would have grown up playing on ponds also, just like any team.
want to watch a great hockey movie? find and watch the french canadian series "Les Boys", some of the best Canadian cinema you will ever see.
Also, no love for Slapshot? or Youngblood? Indian Horse? Score: a hockey musical? MIracle on Ice or remake just called Miracle?
🖖
This is a Good Film, but Slap Shot, Youngblood, & Miracle are better.
This film is lowly rated because the real score would have been 40 to 0.
Luv u team
What ? Better than Youngblood and Goon ?!
