Your machines are really well thought out Andrew. Love that you designed that box wedge to allow the splits to exit freely and not get compressed through the split. A round that big on an average splitter would be a three man job and a whole lot of wrestling. LOL. All the best!
Great Video! That 12-22 sure chews up the big wood! A guy or crew would be chasing those big rounds and their pieces around a long time with a regular wedge.
The consistency of the wood is very nice. Customers love nice clean consistent wood for many reasons. For us it is a great selling point to be able to make a quality piece of firewood efficiently. Great product.
The more I see monster size firewood split with the box wedge on any of your splitters, the more I am convinced the Axis vertical splitter is a more controlled and better way to go.
Question for you, Andrew. How tall a piece will the splitter produce when the box wedge is all the way up? I ordered a 5 way wedge on my 12-22, but I split my home heating wood on the large side, and my sugar house wood 3"x3" or so. I think maybe the 7 way would work for both if I could get the wedge high enough to get a 5-6" wide piece by whatever the width is on the 7 way.

That is a lot faster than my brute force box splitter. Thats kinda the only problem I've ran into, about 1/3 of the logs i get i can put through my multitek no problem but the other 2/3 are this size and bigger. The box splitter works great but definitely need to run some type of cleaner or separator
Andrew, what is that nifty fiberglass firewood measuring tool that you have attached to your chainsaw? Is it something you sell? Looks like the the best design I've seen for one of these.
I have both, lots of resplittes. The box definitely gives lots of kindling but it's just easier to use on large rounds. If you have a pull back arm how can it get any easier? I've noticed size control is really good with the box as well. My wedge choice on a 12-22 - box and 4 way. If you have access to lots of firewood logs then maybe a 6 way.
It just never ever gets old watching those machines work!
Thanks for the feedback. Really appreciate it

Very nice. How does the 7 way work out, and what does the wood look like? Plan is to bust up big rounds with the 7 way box wedge.
We have a couple of videos of the 7 way doing big stuff. I will try and get a video in the coming weeks

biggest issue is taking a big bite out of the wood. it can raise up to 5 or 6" tall, but it has a harder time shoving that through a 12-22
What’s the wait time on new machines?
Splitters a re 12-14 months

Cleaning my trucks today. Haven't had a good cleaning in a while. Was a nice day today so I figured I better get it done!!!
Tell us more and show the results about the different box wedge options
Will get a video up in the coming weeks about it. Not sure what I've got in the yard
Looks faster than most 12-22's
The 5 way does run quicker
What’s the main reason(s) for a person to choose to use a box wedge? Is it as fast or slower than other choices for processing split wood?
Size. When you get into bigger blocks of wood its faster, less labour and more consistent

Love it!!! So when I order what wedge do I want if I want the pieces just alittle smaller?
A 7 way box wedge. Will make the pieces roughly 3 1/2" square

Got it at a local saw shop. Not quite sure if it has a name or not
Why is the machine not closer to the wood?
I’d like to see a comparison between the box wedge and the 4 way with big rounds
