I wish I could speak it conversationally. I'm also Pinoy, but grew up speaking English for the most part. By no means am I a #ritskid, it's just that I grew up with Hollywood films, CN, Nickelodeon and Disney and am more accustomed to Western culture than my own native one. When speaking English to those that can, I'm sort of the life of the party, but when you're with THAT group of friends whose accents are like Robin Padilla, I seem to be just the quiet kid in the corner.
So yeah, TLDR: I'm a foreigner in his native country who wants to wrap his head around his own culture to be able to converse better in his native language.
Then again, I'm an introvert by nature. 🤣
