Agreed, I kinda want the new enemy to destroy Central City and all cities in Halpha and everyone has to retreat to the floating island to survive.
From there they explore a much changed and destroyed Halpha before moving to a new planet.
that tower is probably where the creative spaces will be.
@@Nora-sp3gi Nah, We already got told that the spaces are on islands out on the sea of Halpha
Halpha is probably a ship itself though. We already know now it's environments are 100% artificial. Leciel (The Sky, which is in the sky, making the name entirely redundant) is too small to move a proper crew. That wasn't its function.
Building up a lot of hype for V2. Hopefully it is really good.
I am ready for it. I will be with this game wherever it goes.

Dropped off after a week of NG launched, guess its a good time to check it out again.
It's pretty exciting time actually. The story turned out to be pretty interesting, and on June 6th we're going to get a version 2 update. Currently there is "Creative Space" revealed, but on Tuesday they'll be showing the entirety of the update.

Tbh, this is the first time I heard the English version of the song since I always set the game on JP dubbing.
It is really nice, feels a bit different, but really nice.
the english versions of the songs are pretty good but the actual voice acting can be a bit hit or miss mostly by some weird tonal and emotion/expression decisions

Damn manon singing and hearing those voice lines while watching those scenes hit me with the heavy emotional feels everytime.... ho god think im tearing up 🥹

This makes it feel like NGS is ending, even though we all know this is just the beginning of something even bigger.
I look forward to many more great memories when we move to the next phase.

wow this is an impressive promo makes it feel like they released more then like 30min (yes i know i'm underestimating it) of story cutscenes
that said though we have only gotten more and more content per chapter so while i'm still keeping it mildish i'm exited for the episode 2 story (hope they make it feel more fluent though)

So, why is this making me cry but the game didn't in any place at all except for the DFA CUTSCENES in an OPTIONAL UREGENT QUEST?!
Because this is actually tying the themes of the story (so far) together without six months of wait time and grinding between narrative beats, and has the benefit of good video editing. It never clicked with me how relevant Song of Mourning was to Ep. 1's recurring themes, or how obvious Manon's development as a character actually was, until I saw it stitched together like this.
The story isn't *bad,* it was just rolled out at an awkward pace and didn't sell itself as strong as a highlight reel can.

@@Ketirz So true. The plot and the environmental story telling is actually really well thought out, it's the execution of the presentation and how far apart they are that left much to be desired.

God I hope we actually get some good story + much better maps with the next chapter reveal. Halpha is... well there's just something crucial missing to it that even base PSO2 nailed a decade ago.

There's a reference of EP4 2 protagonists appears for few seconds, other than that it's isn't relevant

Actually good.
The story almost seems coherent when the cutscenes are mashed together with a song played on top. Unfortunately, its an incoherent prologue with bad writing, terrible voice direction, and paper thin plot. Playing credits after the last cutscene in Ch5 didn't make sense because the game still doesn't have a complete opening story. I hope the writing, voice direction, and overall plot improves from ver.2 onward.

Hoping that the starless destroys halpha, central city and all planet settlements.
Everyone who survives retreats to the floating island and that becomes the new base for everyone.
From there, attacks are launched against the starless on a much chnaged and destroyed Halpha and in the future new planets.

Even for me, someone who has loathed how poorly the story was handled for so many of the chapters, this is very good. Being able to take all the mess that is ngs' story and make something emotional and passionate is truly a gift.
Whomever worked on this keep up the good work, hope to see more of what you create.

Too bad the story for chapter 1-4 wasn't quite as epic as this trailer makes it look. It was mostly just, wow this chapter is over already?
Barely spend any time with the characters in the chapter, we're supposed to immediately care about their problems. And then the conflict is resolved in just a few cutscenes.
Chapter 5 at least didn't resolve the conflict and is leading up to Episode 2 but it also could have been longer.
And a lot of chapter 1 cutscenes were redone to try to make the characters seem less robotic. But for us that played during the original cutscenes a lot of us can't think of the characters any way other than how they were originally.
wait, was ch 1 actually rewritten? what were the changes they made compared to the original ch 1 release?
@@ZXUmi Most dialogue was mostly left pretty much the same, some cut-scenes were changed slightly, like making Aina seem like she was actually more affected by Garoa dying, but it mostly just seemed like they did another take of some of the cut scene dialogue recordings. I forget which update changed chapter 1, but they did mention it when they changed it.
They didn't do that with every cutscene though, mostly just the ones with Aina and Manon in Central City.
What a scam, in reality this story isn't even mediocre it's just meh, not even 1 memorable character except Nadereh (cuz she does the concert thing like 10x a day).

I liked Kvaris and Stia's story. The characters were very wholesome.
I want to see more of the kvaris siblings. More Crawford and Glen choreographed fight scenes would be great too!

I agree that it would have been better if they focused more on the gameplay instead of making this mostly lackluster story. They either should have done the story better or not at all instead of how most of EP1 turned out.
They could have made the game much more fun if they didn't have any story and focused on making the gameplay more fun.
Or doing the story in the same way the original PSO did would have been better, with small pieces of story and lore during client orders that feel like sidequests, but it starts to piece together the puzzle of what's happening in your mind in a more natural feeling way. Like a well done murder mystery that the audience can solve themselves by picking up on what's being built up to.
I liked Chapter 5 but the rest of the story felt just like the regions themselves, the same content recycled over and over. With the same plot points in every chapter except Chapter 5.
